Grandpa's Second Try - Come Join Us!

Won't that bring a chance of mold? Im terrorized off mold ever. Person I have ever talk to growing up was mold issues.
I'm in veg joe. I have a very high allergy to mold.... I certianly will not be spraying in flower lol. My eyes swell shut when irritated by mold :/. I just give them a super light mist not spray with sink water plus a few drops of cal mag. They really like it. For my next grow I'm gonna look into adding a touch of kelp.

Oh makes sense about the veg duh .

Okay so if proper ventilation is there water shouldn't make a plant get mold .?

May I ask why they say to foil at before lights out instead of lights on?
I recommended lights off because I've heard the droplets can act as a magnifier and burn leaves. Never ever had it happen, and I spray at all hours. And because I have a clone rooting I spray more like once a day.... any time of the day I want .

If the sun (which is wayyyy more powerful than my Chinese led) can shine on leaves with huge rain drops on them I'm not even remotely concerned...

BUT! in the interest of only providing the best safest info. I would say max twice a week just before lights off. And only in veg! Maybe through stretch but when pistils appear my water pistol goes in the holster. Hahaha. I know I shouldnt laugh at my own jokes :/

Ok here we go im throwing this out there.

Fabric pots are a pain in the ass to be honest.. sure the roots get good aeration but its so damn difficult to evenly water a fabric pot. If you dont even out the bottom the water will run to one side too. Its hard as hell to even out those pots. Maybe switch to a plastic pot in the future.. it could be easier for you.

Ive been watering lots more gramps.. i would get issues where my bottom leaves looked all crispy and yellow like yours. Now ive been watering every two days then the third watering ill water on the third day to let them dry out a bit more. No more yellowing leaves!

In conclusion.. i think you need to try watering her more. Idk if it will help cause shes a tiny gal and when this happens to my ladies its when they are big and ive flipped them to flower mode. Youve tried all other methods it seems!

Your grow space is dry and that soil is hot so she needs extra water i think.. water even if the soil is still moist after a few days.

Again she is small so idk if she can handle the extra water but theres something wrong here and you havent been overwatering her by any means. You keep very good track of how dry the soil is but maybe we need to be watering more then we think.

Fabric Pots - Escandalo!...hahahaha. Had no idea. So does Grandpa be lifting that plant still?

I'm worried about water building up in between the nodes of buds those tight areas where ventalltion isn't at its peak performance ? Hey if you never had problems then sweet right ?

I'm just note throwing out what if's. No disrespect

Oh no worries bro. No I meant know disrespect either. I'm just being a little silly. Lol.

Some people are so anal about spraying and it cracks me up.

But I agree with you about not spraying leaves after flip... gotta keep it as dry as possible for that tric development!!

Hey i spray my plants too when they are young like that.. i do it later on in the light period but always when lights are on. The plants never have issues with burning leaves.. they just get a little wilted if you do it too much. Thats when you know its time to hold back a little and let them dry out some. I do agree it could help a lot since the environment is so dry.

You guys just simply crack me up! I'll give you guys some answers either later on today or maybe even tomorrow. We are going to be moving our adopted daughter and Grandson in with us today, and also doing the monthly grocery shopping. It'll be a busy day... We hope that things are well in your worlds!

Won’t that bring a chance of mold? Im terrorized off mold ever. Person I have ever talk to growing up was mold issues.

Mold isn't an issue if you defoliate your leaves occasionally and you have good air movement. The second thing is that Gramps RH is on the low side so misting the plant will help get her RH up a little even though only temporary. Good air movement and proper defoliation will practically remove any mold issues, especially in veg. Think about plants in nature Joe, what happens when it rains? Nothing as long as they aren't wet for weeks at a time.

I dont lift my pots ive always checked soil dryness by fingering them... ..

Yes but you shouldn't let coco or pro mix completely dry out I was told also keep it moist?

See I love debating because I learn ..

So thanks for that .

Good to know I'll dry so just water and tad bit of cal mag?

In veg only maybe twice a week just spray bottle mist okay okay.

Well at least they are moving into a solid foundation gramps happy face emoji .

It's true you guys are way more educated on this I'm
Just simply the negative guy making sure there are no down falls that's all.

It totally makes sense what you and others are saying in veg I was unaware it was a veg convo lol

Now I'll be misting my babies as I'm about to germ some seeds shortly.

Oh boy am I nervous this time around.

Don't be nervous. Mold generally likes damp, and cooler temps. Mold in the 60s is far more likely than mold over 75. Then factor in the RH and air movement. If you keep fans on, and your RH isn't above 70s in veg, and you have your temps in the 70s well then there is very little chance of getting mold brother. Gramps is running RH on the low side so he really has nothing to worry about. I was spraying my plants in veg 2-3 times a day (light mist) during veg....but then again my RH was only in the 16-20% range so it welcomed any dampness.

No no I seen his humidity levels need to go up 27% not good for roots to do their thing correct?

You guys both have great suggestions. The issue is getting the angle up-and-down correct and lined up with the side to side. The X & Y axis so to speak. Any Contraption or even a selfie stick will not solve both of those issues at the same time. I'm just going to have to figure out a way to get both acxii lined up correctly. Shoot... I have even checked the Play Store to see if there is a camera with voice prompts. No luck.
So you guys think she looks okay for being 31 days old already?

What about a timer? Not Sure If that Will solve all the problems but setting a 5 sec delay can help in combination with the selfie stick?
