Grandpa's Second Try - Come Join Us!

I don't cry much Grandpa, I was taught you never cry on the soccer field or in public. I fight back the tears because life isn't about crying.

But here I am so happy for you and your journey with K that I find myself with just tears streaming down my face.

I can't fight them because they are nothing but love for your triumph to learn how to grow with your hands.

Your winning journal is an act of faith, love and a team that never quits.

My tears are for the gifts that become tools to make our disabilities no longer disadvantages.

Being here at 420, we are a family of advantages no matter our medical conditions.

I may be missing parts of my brain but I'm all heart.

That part has never changed and my positivity is the great big bow wrapped around me.

And now I get to share that big red bow to you and Kelley because you guys are not quiters, you're cultivators and that makes me love you guys more.

I just had to share...okay going back to the soccer field now, there are no tears and fears on the field...;) much love to the 420 family
As I am sure you already know, it is not often I'm left speechless. Well... I certainly am now. What you say is 100 and 10% true, and my feelings as well about this community! You, dear lady, had no small part in this.

Gramps!!! You're rockin it!
Congrats to you guys on JOTM!!!

Absolutely well deserved!!

The little one is coming along well!
The lean is her probably trying to stay over her rootmass, she'll figure it out lol

Can't wait to watch her blast off!

Keep up the good work!!!
Thanks a lot, BW! Your advice and contributions are in no small way why this happened. Hopefully, she'll take off. I am told she is actually looking a little smaller. Time will tell...

Report time...
Temp = 79°
rH = 20%!?! Huh?
I really don't understand these humidity peaks and valleys. The pot is still rather heavy, but I'm told that she looks like she may be getting smaller? I'll get a pic and post it probably tomorrow.
All of my sincere and heartfelt thanks for all that you guys have done for this journal. Not just for me, but for anybody that comes across it. It will do nothing but help them. And you guys deserve all the credit for that! May God bless all of you!

You just may be right, G2H. What A Difference A Day Makes. It's actually funny that you should mention how she feels. Very crunchy. I took a picture, and I hope it comes out. I stuck my finger in the soil and all the way down to the bottom of my finger as far as I could get it in the soil, it was dry. Watering will follow this post. I am rather shocked, as the pot is still heavy. Maybe the water is going down to the bottom and the drying process goes from the top down. IDK.

Water went in at 6.7. I might have accidentally hit on it. The pot is so heavy, because it is very wet down at the bottom. The top, probably where her roots are were was very dry.
Thanks, G2H.
Now I know I have to not only lift the pot, I have to check it using the finger method.

Goodmorning Grandpa! hope you have an awesome Thursday ;) :circle-of-love:

WoW grandpa winners like you are Why contests are so great. You are a humble human. Enjoy all the pretty gifts each and every one has a bit of 420 spirit in it .
Thank you for those very kind words, NS. I consider myself a very blessed human. . :thumb:

Okay, your pic was slightly too much to the left to see your little girl. Buuut, looking at your soil, it looks drier than the desert. So she needed it, she should respond soon. I'm kinda glad she's off centre so she should feel that water asap. Good job Grandpa
I'll try to get a better one today. Or... Maybe make the smart move and ask Kelley to do it. :tongue-out:

I hope to see an update of Jane today :) I bet she's responding well to the drink you gave her!

Good morning fellow old people...and young ones too...

You’ll notice quickly that you’ll be able to use the lift-the-pot-method again to check dryness as the roots fill out the pot and stretch. G2H is all over it. I sincerely hope you and yours have a wonderful day!

Thanks for that valuable tip, GT. Hope your day is going good as well.

She seems to be standing a little straighter today. Her stem feels a little stronger, but the leaves are still a little crunchy at the ends and around the edges. I hope I got her captured in this picture...

Well she sounds like she's improving that's great. The crunchiness won't go away, we just want it to stop, while new growth takes over.

May I make a suggestion when taking pics? Can you sit down in front of your girl, on a chair or on knees? Now take your entire arm, reach out to touch your girl. Is your arm reaching straight like a ruler, just touching the edge of your plant? Now put your phone or whatever you're using to take pics and rest it on your bicep and face it towards your plant.

Making sure your camera is not wobbly on your strong arm muscles poking out your muscle shirt (hahaha), take a pic with the camera, hoping that your arm is acting as a straight depth of field guide to take a pic of your plant. Is that something you think you can do, or is it a no go?

You can do this standing up but the phone gets heavy and could fall if you're accident prone like me. Hope it works.

I can certainly give it a try, that's for sure. I did a variation of it with the last picture. Apparently it didn't work. I'll go give it a try now. Once again, you Dazzle us with an awesome suggestion! :namaste:
