Grandpa's Second Try - Come Join Us!

Knighted huh, I think that makes us like brothers now. ;)
Next thing you know you'll be growing wings. lol

Glad to see things are going well with Jaws grandpa, and the other two are surviving, at least enough to give you a little taste beyond the lessons those two taught (and the wisdom from so many who have helped), and thanks to the journal not just lessons for you but for anyone who reads it. Keep it up. :thumb:

Temp = 83°
rH = 37%

From what I'm told, Emma and Elsa seem to be pulling into themselves, which I am assuming means their life cycle is about as finished as it could be. I'll post pics later, and you folks can tell me if you agree. Jaws on the other hand, is perky and looking like she's happy. Kelley tells me that her second set of leaves are coming in.
This has been Sir Gran'Pappy's daily report... .

Glad to hear Jaws is perky and happy, Grandpa! Sorry to hear about Emma and Elsa but they are autos, let's hope you get some good smoke off of them :thumb: Can't wait to see how you do with Jaws and the new soil

Thanks, HS. Hopefully, a photo will do better for us than the Otto's have. I am excited to see what happens myself.

I've had good luck with Photos! Some strains are picky eaters & really fickle - I have no experience with autos, but maybe they were just one of those. I'm pretty sure it'll come out awesome :thumb:

Greetings everyone! We finally got the pictures taken and uploaded. Kelley Rock Me Jaws this morning, and oh my word! She is just taking off. I am also told that Elsa is looking like a bunch of cotton balls have shown up on her. We got a close up for you guys. Not sure what that means, but maybe it's a good thing. At any rate, here they are, and if you could let me know what you think we should be doing with Emma and Elsa...

Okay so I would at this point of game cut off all dead leaves so the plant is t wasting it sources trying to keep the fans alive . Even if you fan the leafs that have half brown dead and half still green keep as much green as possible make sure scissors are sterile .

Just for thoughts .

KJ...that makes a lot of sense. So, to be sure I understand, trim off all the browned fans using a sterile scissors, instead of pinching with fingernails. Even the half-brown ones should come off, or did you mean to take the Christie stuff off? I understand about leaving as much as green as I can, but did you mean to take the whole leaf or just the crispy Brown pArtsand leavd the green?

Grandpa, I'm afraid the cotton balls may be mold on the buds. :( In your position, I would chop the autos and salvage what you can for extracts maybe.

and I'm not sure and I'd like someone here to take a look but I think Jaws may have TMV based on lower growth?

But the crispy brown stuff sorry fell asleep I'm sick head cold .

But yes you can pinch the leafs off as well but anything that has say half dead and half feeen take scissors and fan them so remove all the affected leafs .

Frankly, I don't understand how any kind of mold can be on the plants. Humidity has been very low, and watering as been sparse at best, as we allowed them to tell us when they need it now. The only thing I can think of is the bowl of water and towel in the back of the tent to provide a little humidity. But the overall reading has never been more than 40%. I'll feel them later, and see what they feel like and let you know.
HS...what are you referring to on the bottom of Jaws?
PW...transplant already? The picture was taken exactly one week after she sprouted. I do know better than to go strictly with a timeline and not development of the plant, but has she had time to make a decent Luke ball yet? I'm not doubting you at all, just wondering what you seen that makes you think she needs transplanted.
Today's readings:
rH = 37%
Temp = 78°

KJ...hope you feel better really soon! Get all the sleep and rest you can.

That humidity is fine gramps if it's only 37 with a towel and in veg not good it would be better to have it up around 60-70% in my experiences with good ventilation around and hitting plants mold still won't be an issue . Higher humidity better ventalltion lower humidity keep it enclosed the area maybe a floor heater in the room not tent . Hmm.

Flower you want your humidity where it is now maybe a tad higher . Again this is from
My experiences .

Mold I can't tell as the pictures are a tad out of focus for me to make that call. Easy on the watering for the little guy though still a bit droopy let them reach upwards is what your looking for ?

KJ...that was what kept running through my mind. The humidity was so low, that I couldn't imagine any mold in there. Not saying that it's not there, but I don't see how it can be. Jaws is getting just the water that she asks for, and we are watching the cup to make sure that most of the water at the bottom has dried out. This soil is quite interesting, as it dries out evenly from the top working down. I like that!
The only way I can think of to add more humidity in there, is to maybe close the back flap on the 10th, but that will also affect the airflow through the tent. I believe I would have to add some more intake air, so that would mean an inline intake fan. Another option is to just add a humidifier into the tent, or maybe even as close to that open flap as possible. We'll have to work it into our budget, no matter which way we go, so that will not be able to be ordered until the 3rd of next month. Any other suggestions from anyone else about how to increase humidity would be appreciated a lot! I'm not stressing over it, really. I just want to give her the best growing conditions she can get.

Well you hang in there. If we will get you growing happy and healthy medicine that is my goal
And a lot others. I hate seeing other people struggle .

No worries Grandpa, it may not be mold - but anytime "cotton" can be used to describe how buds look should be cause for alarm. Mold can occur in the absence of humidity e.g. if the plant/roots are no longer getting what they need to maintain their immune system.

We're gonna help you get everything fine tuned so you can get the quality of meds you so rightly deserve. :thumb:
