I read your post and giggled, then I saw your profile pic and I almost died..:rofl:

Potchimp, you sir have a skill I still haven't achieved, patience. I would have harvested and smoked half already.:thumb:

I've learned one thing about bud pics with all these hairy animasl and girls in my house. You got to take a pic, find the hair, remove the hair, and take another pic.. :)

Today was the day to pick parents for my GDP f2 project. I checked the other day, and most of them were showing enough to inspect. Out of twenty-one plants I culled seven males and kept one for a father. I chose him by the health of the plant, even branching, no odd leaves, etc., but what I mostly chose from after that was the leaf shape and plant structure (in hopes of coming close to the pheno I've been keeping). It was a more-haired pheno, and so was the mother I picked (I did this in the blind without checking the tags), so I decided to add a less haired pheno following the same criteria. The last plant I put in with them was a clone of what I believe is the original for a backcross (the smallest plant in the pic):

Out of all twenty-one plants, a total of eight are female and two aren't far enough along to tell. I hope that phukkin' terminator gene wasn't bred into this strain; that could explain why my S2 projects didn't produce fertile seeds. We'll see..... :hmmm:
 
I culled two more males today and two aren't showing yet. So I've got the three GDP f2 parents and these:

They'll start looking and getting healthier now that they're in bigger pots.
You can see where the lower branches were getting blocked out from the light, so I defoliated this Pre '98 Bubba Kush S1:

This Pre '98 Bubba Kush S1 is smothering itself with leaves :( I took all of the shade leaves off today and the leaves coming off the secondary branches are doing the same thing; smothering out the lower branches:
