Grand Daddy Black Grows A Stack

No one is making fun at you I worry about rain and feeding enough not enough sun even though we have not had rain but once this month. Am I feeding to much am I watering to much do I have them tied up enough. Is the PM on Banana Jealousy going to spread to the other plants. Should I trim more off the plants. I worry about everything. Am I worrying enough. Will I make harvest or lose it all to rot. But I do love growing these plants and I believe you do to GDB so worrying is just part of the grow. I do not believe those that say they do not worry about something. I wonder if you worry more about growing indoors as much as outdoors. Stella looks great so stop worrying. I worry if that made any sense. 🍋

Stella yesterday morning -- hangdog after the storm:
I agree with Mr Lemon and think that Stella is looking pretty good considering the weather. The leaves are mostly Carmen-green and the flowers are coming along slow and steady. Sun would definitely help, and you could easily slide that rootball out and right into a cloth pot if that would make you feel better. Feeling better is important!

how in the hell is that pot ever going to get dry if I keep letting her get caught in downpours!?
Sit her pot in a trashbag, secure it around the stalk....waterproof!
(take it off when the rain stops😁)

(I hear you outdoor growers making fun of me for being such a whiney-poo! 😁)
Actually, growing outdoors does give one more stuff to whine about...👍

That sounds like a winner of an idea...might make Stella feel a little better, too..💚

Thanks for the encouragement Keith. :)

At this stage I'm not going to try and further mitigate Shed. I've got to figure out what I'm cooking for dinner tonight.

I knew it!

I wanna' be on that thread. I've got a list of grievances about certain growers!

Be happy!

Thanks Stone.

I doubt that my fretting over my plants will ever lead to unhappiness. There's too much JOY in the act of growing for that to happen! :Rasta:

I'll wager that's basic outdoor-think. I've got a lot to learn!

Thanks Carcass. :thanks:

That part I got figured out early! So I guess I just started doing what I thought I was supposed to do! 😁

I'm just not sure it would be worth the hassle at this point. There's so little time left for her. Then again, I'd likely regret it if I didn't at least try it. Our extended weather forecast calls for a nice week beginning around Oct. 7, with sunny days and temps mostly in the low 80s.

Maybe I'll give it a go.

Thanks @Carcass & @InTheSched.

I'm guessing 3 minutes, 5 with a bad back.
Left Shoulder Mini-me: 20 minutes for me with an okay back. I move slowly and I'm easily distracted! But even that is after 2 days for a quick soil prep. She's only got another 3 weeks to be out there, maybe a few more if we have an Indian Summer. I just don't think I want to invest either the time to do it or feign heightened expectations. Just don't think it will matter that much.

Right Shoulder Mini-me: Just do it. If you don't, you'll always wonder if it would have helped. (Well, maybe not "always." But you'll wonder for at least a little while.) And what better way to get rid of some of that used soil? Plus, like Shed said, you'll "feel better."

It's hard being an old stoner.

Short for "schedule" in the UK.
I was wondering why it didn't turn green. Stared at it for a while and still didn't see the spelling error!

Good morning all.

There's a HUGE orangeish light in the sky today. WTF! :Rasta:

If you dont damn, if you do well damn ! you do another outside grow ,dig a hole ( I know its going to hurt ) Just One , and that way you will have to dig to feel the lower soil . Plan ?
Smoke, you mean like, with a shovel? 😁

Good morning all and Happy Sunday!

We had a rare day of sunshine yesterday but they'll be no repeat performance. Today we're back to cloudy & rainy. If nothing else, a good day for watching some football.

On Friday I started taking down the Fat Kid's Cake clone on her Flip 78. I'm taking her down in a slow, relaxing manner. Late Friday night I merely sat her out on my back porch, under a ceiling fan and in the dark. Then all day Saturday, every time I was near the back porch I stepped out and plucked some fans from her. I did this over and over, all day long. By this morning I had pretty much removed all of the big fans and it occurred to me that I had yet to take her Obit pic.

So here is all I got:
FKC clone 9-28-24 F79 OBIT.JPG

Once I remove the buds from the branches I may give them a closer trim in order to get rid of those remaining short, burnt leaves -- or I may not, because...

The FKCs I've already processed were somewhat underwhelming. They were not that sticky, the testers tasted "meh" and the highs generated were just so-so. So far, it's just "okay" weed. It's not on par with other strains I've recently grown and in it's current state, has no chance of breaking into my personal rotation. Still, it's not a total waste. I know some lightweights who'd happily smoke it up and I'll likely give a bunch of it to them.

I'm taking this one earlier than I took her predecessors, just because. I've tried some testers that had significant amber so I want to see what it's like from the other end of the spectrum. This one has barely any amber and a significant amount of clear remaining.

I'll see if the early takedown makes for a different (hopefully better) effect.

And as for the FKCs in general, I'll hold out hope that a cure will lead to an amazing transformation!

Thanks for stopping by and have yourselves a pleasant Sunday.

This is the time when we remind ourselves "It is all about the journey". And start planning our next one.

nice looking buds & surprised that it is meh! hopefully the cure brings it out better

She looks real good- maybe she'll surprise you...
I've tried some testers that had significant amber so I want to see what it's like from the other end of the spectrum.
Those 2 outdoor ones I just harvested go from no amber and clear, to plenty of amber and cloudy- they were harvested between 9/1 and 9/21, so close to 3 weeks between start and finish.

I can't tell a lot of difference in the buzz', they're both good, but with the more ambery/cloudy stuff, it seems to last just a little longer with just a bit more "psychoactivity" going on....

They both taste equally bad, because it's waayy too early to be smoking it...but I had to try it a few times ...😁
