Grand Daddy Black Grows A Stack

Hello all.

I've decided to grow the indoor clones using Roots Organic dry organic nutrients. I want to keep things simple and bi-weekly top-feeding fits that bill! Plus, per the manufacturer these 2 gallon pots require only 2 tsps of top feed every other week. Easy peasy!

I'll give them their first feed today. I hope they have enough stored up to hold on until the nutrients become available to consume!

Stella is beginning to grow a little. She had a funny looking set of top leaves, kinda' wrinkled like kale. Last night I chopped that top off. This morning she seem to be telling me, "Thank you!"

She was set out in her permanent spot today. She's been getting blasted with full sunlight. Hope she was ready!

All that sits below her pot is used Fox Farm soil from previous grows -- lots of it!

Fantastic Thanks. 🍋
Thank you, Keith!

Slits > grommets.

Nice upcans and lovely roots! They sure looked ready to move because they're already the perfect size for the 2 gallon layer cakes.
Thanks Shed. You know I have impeccable timing!

I hope you wrote that soil mix down , Damn !
It's recorded, Smoke (in this thread). :)

Thanks for your time.

Looks happy to be enjoying the day! Are you figuring the roots will grow through the holes and move into the used soil below, or are you eventually going to replant it in that soil?
I had planned to let the roots escape into the soil beneath, but I've decided against that. I'm just going to put a saucer underneath her in order to keep that from happening.

I decided it would be best if I retained the ability to move her around. I found out yesterday that the spot where I sat her is fairly good -- getting full sun for most of the day -- but it's not ideal. In the late afternoon when that spot goes shady there's another spot I can move her too where she gets about another hour's worth of direct sun. I don't know if I'll be around to do that every day but I want the option.

Plus, I thought about some of the wild and wacky thunderstorms we get here during the summer. She may need shelter sometimes from pouring rain and high winds.

And last, I'm trying to keep her relatively small. I'm more interested in just getting her grown successfully, not so much "bigly."

Hello all.
With your growing skills you will do just fine. I am interested in your training because that is something I know very little about. 🍋
Any time you want to talk about training, I'll try to help Keith. Most (but not all) of what I do mimics what I've seen others do here, especially @Carcass. And if I remember correctly, I believe @Trala did a tutorial on her interpretation of what he does.

Hello all.

It's Day 25 for the clones and boy does it smell wonderful in the 2x2!

I failed to mention it the other day, but when I got that new bag of Happy Frog in order to complete their transplants I was amazed by how fresh and earthy that soil smelled! It was like a really fresh batch that had been properly stored since being bagged. And then when I top-dressed the up-potted plants with the Roots Organic nutes, the smell became even earthier -- just a wonderful aroma!

A pic from yesterday:

The Cosmic Lights front left that I bent over weeks ago, well I took that little bendy gadget off of the bottom and moved it further up the plant. I'm now bending it sideways, trying to turn it to the right. If it grows enough to allow it, I'll move the bendy gadget even further up the branch and try to turn it even more to the right so that it almost forms a circle.

As I've said, I will not be vegging these for much longer. She may not get the chance to grow enough to allow me another turn!

Good morning Sir Zoot.

Those zoot bomb cookies sound a bit of alright.
They turned out to be fairly popular in my small circle, Trala!

I know some folks that want to get zooted! :Rasta:

Hello all.

It's Stella's Day 25 in soil.

She's spent most of the day outside under cloudy skies. But there's a big storm about to arrive shortly, so I'll be bringing her in soon.

She's slowly inching her way skyward. Inside on my (enclosed) back porch, I'm keeping her under a 25w led all hours. She never sees the dark. I'm trying to ensure she doesn't flip into flower too early outdoors and this was the only idea that came to mind. (I have a more powerful light that I could keep her under for less time while indoors, but really no way to hang it on my back porch. And I'm not taking her back in the house.)

The white stuff on some of the leaves are remnants of the SNS PC sprays she's been getting. Her soil remains moist from the 2L I gave her when I introduced the FOOP nutrients, so I've yet to give her anymore to drink. I'm sure a few sunny & warm days will get her to drinking, but I haven't had many of those since putting her outdoors.

Good point! You'll find yourself chasing the sun through the season as it changes trajectory. That's a good thing. Well not for the meter!

The hell with that meter, Stone!

It's good for a geezer to have at least something to chase during the summer! :cheesygrinsmiley:
