Good morning all!
GG7 those are great pics and you should be sooo proud of both those harvest. I hope they are so potent it makes you forget your name lol
Simply a great harvest!
I got all necessary items to build my alfalfa brew as I am going to call it. I will documenting it from the beginning on my journal tomorrow. From the air pump all the way through to the feeding...
Can I post the link here from my journal for people to see as I don't get that much traffic yet and I think it will be good for everyone?
Thanks MS!
I am MORE than pleased with both BBK harvests! I am hoping that they provide a good source of the type of medicinal effect I am always looking to improve upon!
I actually jarred up the BBK1 buds last night after I signed off from here. I just happened to pop the closet and have a peek at how the BBK1's harvest was drying as I was heading to the bedroom for sleep, and they were already CRISPY!!
Well... It had been three days, but I wasn't expecting them to be that dried out considering how big they all were! I pulled out a half dozen quart jars and quickly got all the buds off the stems and into the jars. I added a couple of fresh leaves to each just in case they had gotten too dry.
Stems were not snapping, but I generally don't use that technique to determine jar time. For me, if I can squeeze a dry bud in my hand and hear and feel a crunch, while also seeing a scattering of dry leaf crumbs on the table, THEY ARE MORE THAN READY for jarring up! While I didn't actually do that to a bud, I could tell just by the slight handling I did that they were indeed CRUNCHY!
I just checked them this morning before I started posting replies here, and the moisture has returned to all "6" quart jars holding the BBK1 harvest!
Apparently no harm done, but it was a total surprise discovery! Since I caught them in time, I have turned the low speed vent fan off on the BBK2 harvest hanging in the other closet. Our indoor humidity has been very low since the weekend from the AC running all the time. The BBK1 drying closet was sitting at 38% when I checked the temp/RGH probe in there as I pulled the buds out.
MUCH TOO LOW!! Was just too busy to check since the first day, cause of everything else going on. I learned a lesson with that! If AC has been running steady for over 18 hours, CHECK drying closets!
See what happens when you have too much going on? I was saying this to XLR8 last night, since he has not been feeling well the last couple of days and still feels compelled to keep trying to maintain his entire chore list! Sometimes, that can get you into more trouble than just pulling back, putting on the brakes for a few days and taking a look around at priorities.
Got your PM!! I am off to the Doc this morning for my 3 month follow-up, so I won't be back up here till after 12 noon.
Talk to you guys when i get back!
