GaBoy's 2017 Outdoor Adventures

I Iike your hexagon greenhouse. Way too cold for a greenhouse this week. From what I call tell, we need to wait for April here. By then a greenhouse only gives about a 2 week jump on the season.

I have a Big Lots within 50 miles - but it's on Brady street. I had enough of Brady when I lived in Massachussetts :)

That's part of the reason to get it now Radogast! They aren't in season right now which is why they're on sale! I guess they don't realize this is when they're needed most, and I hope they don't figure it out! Lol

I've been using my older greenhouse since beginning of/ mid January as seen in my journal and I as well can't and won't be planting out my veggies and herbs until early/mid March! That's about a 2 month head start and all of my plants have a SUPER advantage when transplanted into the garden! I would say if your in that area anytime soon, Check then out!

And yes 4Dutchess, Brady can kick rocks for the 5th time smh. Don't know how they let them come back like that. First time in OT AND a team came back from a 21 point deficit. Smh. So mad

Do you reckon I'd get much of a crop in southern uk with a greenhouse like that . And some autoflowers?

Yes. Huge advocate of greenhouses. Just the gasses that get trapped inside help so much!

Hey bruh do you know the average temp in your green house on the chilly days such as the 50° or even the 40's temps? I'm going to pick one up but didn't know what to expect since our weather changes here weekly..

Go Falcons!!!

As long as the sun is out, there's at least a 10 degree difference on average. If it's in the 40s, it keeps it in the 50s. 50s outside, 60s inside. If it does get too cold, I add a clay pot heater with a few candles overnight with the door closed and that does the job!

What?! (In my Little Jon voice) bruh thats cool. U should show it for real. I have a huge open back yard so I'm constantly fighting over the woodland creatures and it can get pretty windy. I will need to stake it down big time. Why not just a small heater? Saving money by using the candles obviously but i must know. This could very well change the game for me on my property. I'm stoked lol

I have to go back to Home Depot or Walmart and get another digital outdoor thermometer and then I can. I used to show temp differences in my previous journals. I believe this new one came with stakes...the old one did. Even came with pars cord to tie it down as well but I never had to use it.

As far as the heater, I just don't feel like running extension cords through my yard. It would be a bit much. I just put a clay pot heater on the bottom shelf on each side and it's good to go! Not to mention, I made them 3 yeas ago and they still work like new! Here's a good instructional vid I found for u.

If 40s and 50s are cool temps to you, you should definitly go for it.

I was out barefoot in 34 F yesterday (To be fair, only 5 minutes.)
It was 42 F last week when I wore short sleeves and clogs to the grocery store.

You are a brave soul lol yea, we don't have daytime temps like that. It may drop to low 40s or 30s around 2-3 AM for a few hours, but it warms up when the sun comes out which I greatly appreciate.

I told you Vader, GO FOR IT!!!

Canobud is correct lol I speak a lot on the forum because I am otherwise silent. Taking a big risk, but with it come big rewards!

Good evening everyone!

Hope your days have gone well. So it's experiment time! I believe in organic, living soil so I will not purchase nutrients. Even if they say organic; but I will go buy some Aloe Vera plants and organic coconuts!
420-magazine-mobile112518480.jpg

In my research I have found that using aloe Vera juice/ water at 1/4 cup per gallon of water is like a protein shake for your plants. Also raw coconut water (straight from the coconut) at 15ml per liter of water also has more than everything to boost your plants and microbes in the soil. It is, after all, the biggest seed on the planet! So it's full of raw, organic goodness!

With that being said, I made some aloe vera water and applied heavily as a foliar spray. Soaked all of the plants. Baby Blue.Dragon as well.

Let them soak up all of that goodness for about 20 minutes, until they were mostly dry again. Then I dunk watered GDP., Baby Bordello and Baby Blue.Dragon with with coconut water mixture as they were bone dry. Gave TS1 and Bordello 1 cup each from the top just because they couldn't miss out on the goodness! I know they were watered recently. A cup won't hurt lol. Will see how they respond and take pics tomorrow. Supposed to be in the 70's .

When Im I lived in Hawaii I saw Aloe vera plants as big as a two story house!! Blew my mind! Intresting to know as a foliar spray. I just made up a Cal/Mag and a Grow big spray bottles for a foliar. Ive seen the difference the Cal/Mag after a few sprays. I dident think the foliars did much but I can see theyre a must. Great Day Ga!

The standard wisdom is that, while the who plant (including stems and trunk) can absorb foliar spray, most of the absorption happens at the small leaves and the underside of the leaves.

I am currently using 90ml (3 oz) sprayed from a little Florisol sprayer/atomizer for 5 plants. This little hairspray sprayer does well a great job at sending a 3 second cloud of mist upwards at awkward angles. I'm not sure I'm using the correct amount, but the plants are responding very well as I gradually increase the amount.

Nice tile patio you have Ga! 70 degrees!!!! Damn!!! Our high is almost there too I guess. 63 degrees at 7:30am. Raining like crazy! We got dams cracking!! I will be able to wash my car, spray down the front porch this summer. Let the water hit the sidewalk when I water this summer. No more water restrictions!!
Radogast I will try to spray the underside with the foilar spray like for bugs. Great info!!!!
Great Day!!!!!!
Time to burn Ga.......hit it twice but dont hold it in......... told ya!

Ga boy...just got one of those tents. But it was $49.99 in north east Florida. Still worth it I believe.

Got 4 baby seedlings 2 days above ground, and several more sprouting. That's 100% germination from crop king seeds. 14for 14. Early miss autoflower and NYCd autoflower.

Definitely still worth it! I would have paid that for it. Congrats on your new babies! And 14 for 14, that's pretty impressive. Today here we had a cold, wind front come in but the sun is shining bright! 48 outside, 69 degrees inside my greenhouse . what more could you ask for?!

Good afternoon everyone! Quick update on my way out. Going to stick with the raw coconut water x Aloe Vera as nutrients. 2 days after the aloe Vera foliar application and coconut water dunk and they are all looking amazing! Can't wait to see how they look after a few more applications.

So, as I suspected, I'm pretty sure those are male pre flowers on Bordello. Anyone else want to weigh in before I pull him?
