GaBoy's 2017 Outdoor Adventures

So, as I suspected, I'm pretty sure those are male pre flowers on Bordello. Anyone else want to weigh in before I pull him?

Mighty suspicious looking.

Maybe but wait another day or 2 just to be sure. Not %

That's what I'd do.

Sup bruh! Wait!! Let the balls drop first lol.

Go Falcons!!!

Yup. I had one at that stage turn out a girl. 1 of about 12. It took 5 days after I lost hope, but at the end she was a good in the vape :)

Your Hawks are going DOWN tonight! The Boogie man is well rested and he cant be STOPPED!!!!
Hey Ga you think that grow house will keep out moths/butterflys???
Great Day Ga!

Very nice. I hope mine make it to that point. What time of year did you have that catepillar problem?

I'm sure they will with some love and care! I would say the cabbage moths/ caterpillars are worst around June-July.

Moonshine, they look great!! Why the extra lights? arent the LED's enough? You have a temp and hum gauge in there? Start the ff schedule! Big Bloom light. Ive noticed the nutes in Ocean Forest last 3 weeks just when their schedule says start Grow Big. Ive noticed FF gets used by the plant very quick. And have read PHing with FF in soil is crucial. Great start! I give them too much water at this fragile stage but looks great and your first grow! Killer!!
Lets get high my friends!!!!

Thanks so much dutchess . So, to be clear, I can start foliage spraying now? The big pots are 8 days above grd. The lil pots are 4-5 days above. I think I saw on this thread about natural foliage sprays of aloe and coconut water mixed with distilled water.

I have advanced nutrients ph perfect grow, micro & bloom. I thought I was to wait till 3-4 week for those mutes. Is foliar spraying the same as giving mutes when watering.

I guess I'm going to have to spring for a ph meter, cal mag, and maybe some other feet. Or is the an grow, micro, bloom enough.

Im a Greenhorn but yes a PH pen is a must and get a good one. Im going Blue Lab next. If it needs to be kept wet store it in a cup of water.
I say hold off with anything. They look great! I just started foliar sprays and they are a must but maybe not yet for you. Figure the Ocean forest loses its zing after 3 weeks so start your nutes then, just very lightly. Follow your schedule. You need to check your waters PH and go from there. Dont over do it, dont over water. They are on their way!! That Ocean Forest has all you need for a few weeks! Read about Dolomite and PH. I was told you cant foliar spray too much but Id wait cause yours are babies. Fuck Im just learning but Pervis in Vegas said you dont know it until you can teach it. I hope Im right.
Sorry Ga, I just started rolling and couldent stop. Kinda like Big Boogie! Play off bound I can feel it!
Great Day!!!!

The seeds and soil have enough nutrients for 3-4 weeks. I'd wait on foliar sprays.

Right now it is all about the basics:
Moderate Lighting (at least 16 hours per day.)
Watering fully when the soil is dry.
Keeping your temperature, relative humidity, and water PH in range.

A PH pen might be useful, but a cheap PH test kit and PH down to bring your water to 6.2-ish is most likely more important. Living soil communities can process a larger range of water PH, but if you are using standard plant nutrients, bad water PH can stunt and kill your plants.

These are plants from my 2nd grow - ONE YEAR OLD with water at 6-5 - 7.0 ph. You don't want to do this :)

Personally, I start foliar feeding as soon as the little buggers get their first set of true leaves so I would say go ahead and start on the older ones. Especially if you use the foliar spray I recommended (aloe x coconut water) it's all natural so it won't burn your plants, just give them a super boost.

As far as nutes, I don't really use them, but I do know that with the soil your using, you won't need to apply any nutes until after the first 3-4 weeks. Hope this helps.

Rad.... dude, I'm so sorry to see that for you man. Did they recover. Were they autos. If the water was ph 6.5-7, I thought that was perfect. I do want to avoid that with all the money invested in this.

Cabot. Thanks for the recommendation. I was trying to find your recipe for that coco/aloe spray u mentioned earlier. Do you mind giving that ratio again. Will any aloe plant work, cuz I got some round here.

Side note... I have my greenhouse set up, had my girls in there 5 minutes and when I turned my back, big gust of wind bout knocked it and all my girls on the ground. I about puked. Lol. It's windy here in jaguar country.

Omg i would have had a heart attack. every morning i look out the window to see if mine is still there. I added stupid weight to keep it down lol. My ladies look like they on pause now. Sorry babbling...sativa

Go Falcons!!!

Vader...ya for some dumb reason I can't remember, I placed my greenhouse on cynder blocks, & had the front door rolled up because of the heat where I live. Wind gust came straight thru. I just got home and found it off the blocks but standing still. Thankful I pulled em all and put back under leds.

Hey. Speaking of lighting,,,I have no exhaust or ac in my grow tent, so when it's 70 outside it's 90 in the tent. I vent by opening bottom flaps & when necessary, I unzip the front a bit also. These are autos in veg / seedling stage, so does the venting' slight leakage mean I'm wasting my electricity with them open?

Well energy is really not wasted while venting into a larger space. Now if u were venting into nothing beneficial then yep, it's a wasted. Not sweat tho as long as they r happy and ur happy. I'm doing the same thing.

Go Falcons!!!

Not a problem and sheesh! Did you tie or stake it down at all? My old one blew over once before I remembered to tie it down and secure it lol.

Organic Coconut Water Nute Mix
- Add 15ml of raw, organic coconut water (best if it comes straight out of the coconut) per liter of water or 50ml per gallon of water and use to water your plants or as a foliar feed. Coconut water will cause your plants to grow faster, more vigorously, and with more buds sites and shorter internodal distances. Keep in mind that a coconut is the biggest seed on Earth and like any other seed, it contains enough nutrition for the plant to grow until it develops sufficient leaves to make its own food. It's full of cytokinins, calcium, magnesium and more.

Aloe Vera Water/ Juice Nute Mix
- Add 1/4 cup organic Aloe Vera water/juice per gallon of water to your regular watering and foliar feeds to supply your plant with an abundance of raw simple sugars and starches to help your plant break down and absorb nutrients and build a strong structure. Much like a protein shake.

I make my own aloe water by extracting the jelly pulp from some of my plants and blending with water until mixed. Yes you can use your own plants, I feel that's best. Atleast you know it's real aloe and how much. I've also started mixing my coconut solution and aloe solution together and applying as a foliar feed and they seem to love it! Hope this helps.
