Major, maybe I should change the name of the ZD(+) to RipVanWinkle
and the GT(+) to Methuselah
both great strains...
when you can enjoy them
Next year....
I did not. Most plastic lids are made from polypropylene. Gluing that stuff is just about impossible. The screen is so thin, I cut it slightly larger than the top of the jar. The lid crimps it down over the mouth and holds it well. With coarser screen, it may not work, but I think by cutting the screen slightly smaller, it will still seal well and remain captive.I like what you did with the screen into the lid. Did you glue it on the inside or outside of the lid?
Hey Major....ZD+....
Is that a Sativa....
What about the one that has just started to bloom??.....
That's cool ...you'll still harvest a ridiculous amount of top shelf cannabis.
Cheers to ya sir! I would love to see what a few of these Lilly's would look like outside.Anyhow , have a great night Major and gang!
Man those girls are something. I think even if I could grow outside, the fight with the critters would be neverending. Those girls are rocking man! Very excited for you.
Major, thank you for the brilliant hash write-up. +reps for that - it was just what I needed. What screens would you recommend?
Hey Sue-
I haven't seen you around lately. Great to see ya!
I'm still learning. The 150u works quite well. The 75u did not seem to help with quality and certainly reduced yield while taking longer to sift. My next attempt will be with 100u. Depending on what you plan to do with the dry sift, I think 100-150u is the sweet (Sue) spot.
As I try different combo's I'll report back on my findings. The RSO my wife made yesterday is the best batch we've made so far. 10g of dry sift yielded 3+grams of oil.
I hear ya!Great to hear. I have some 125. All the other methods don't work for me, for one reason or another, so I'd been holding out hoping to find a method much simpler, and it appears you found it. Did you stumble upon this yourself or did you glean it from somewhere else?
It's good to stop in again Major. I let myself get stretched awfully thin over the past year. Still working my way back to a reasonable number of subscriptions. You know how it goes.
I do break up the trim or buds, just by hand right now. Last year I used a food processor that was placed in the freezer. A few quick pulses is all it takes to break down the herb. I was doing a pound at a time then. The mesh I chose then was a little too coarse for best quality. You may be able to see the lower quality in these (a small part of what I processed).Great info Major, thanks!
It will take me a little to grasp the hash sift. You must grind it up before you sift? Maybe I should go to utube and type dry sift hash?? Im going to have adopt a different method soon.
Nice plants Major! Youve got some still along way off!
Im 38 deg N. Im flushing most start this Sunday. Last feed might be strait Cha Ching according to the jar. I think its 1 tsp per gal alone. Will check.
Harvest Time!!!
Dam man lookn beautiful n gud luck on the one tht took a face dive hope she continues 2 pull threw n not rot out on u gud luck and lookn amazing as per usual
Thanks Jones!
If only the rain would hold off for another week, or so. GASS (nose dive) is getting beautiful purple flowers to match her smell. But it looks like we're in for wetness Sunday and Monday. Some of the colas will likely be OK, but the majority in the center will almost certainly turn to mush I'm afraid.
I am finding birds in the garden. I freak them out when I enter the garden and they bang around like a pinballs into the fence and cover. The yellow jackets eat the small bugs and the birds eat the larger bugs (YEAH!). Now, if the birds would quit shitting all over the plants. I couldn't figure out what was going on at first. Giant bug poop? Spills from some chemical? PM? Nope. Bird poop.
