Fun In The Sun 2016 - Tiger - Ape - Pitbull - Gorilla & More - Run Wild

If there is an upside to being away due to injury.... it has been coming back to see how glorious your garden looks my mate! Definitely have seen discolouration from unexpected frost before so I'd say that's your culprit for sure. Definitely don't see any signs of N excess.

EDIT: I hope I qualify for re-entry into the compound Dug. Just wanted to check with head of security. In all honesty I guess it's too late since I've already gone and wandered on in. If it is of any consolation I'm recovering from a head injury. :Namaste:

Hey GL, it's cool my brotha.....you have already cleared security checks and have full access to Major's garden's. Enjoy your stroll! Cheers...oh, and good morning Major! :Namaste:

Good morning gang!
Update tomorrow - hopefully. Things seem to be progressing pretty well.

Hey Major,...OG, top of the day to ya's....OG, please be advised to collect recent updated "Perimeter Trip Wire Map" from Major before strolling his and Mrs. Pita's grounds. New human deterrent system is now "in place" so please obtain this info! This new system is not lethal , but highly effective!:slide::smokin: lookin good Major, but ya, i see the stall too,...they will "GO" soon. Cheers and have an awesome day you guys!:Namaste:

Point well taken, it would be very easy to stroll into trouble even with the updated maps, since the scenery is so distracting. Perhaps I can set up a guided tour on my next visit so I can not stumble into anymore of those trip wires, I know you claim they are non-lethal but speaking from experience..... They hurt like hell.

Yo, Major. I'm back after life having intervened too much. All is good though. Back in the saddle for season two outdoors. A little late starting, but no problems. Got a couple environmentally approriate strains, I think. From here. Bred outside. Thanks for all the help last year. I really appreciate it. Come on over and look if you's like. Journal link in sig.

Welcome back, KK!
I'll stop by and check it out. :high-five:

Update (Week 16 of Veg)

I feel like all the plants in the main grow have finally settled in. It may not show in the pictures, but they all grew quite a bit last week. If this soil does what it should, I expect them each to double in size this month and again next month. We'll see how it goes.

Two plants are slightly problematic. GASS has what I think is a mag deficiency. It is not in my soil mix. It was up-potted into some leftover 2nd run DBHBB soil. It was all I had available and I half expect to chop this plant early anyway. Since it is HB soil, I'm not sure how it will take to bottled nute's. I'll be finding out. AS is doing well but has the usual spider mite infestation just starting to show on some older internal fans. I'm beginning my spray routine, beginning with Azatrol twice, 4 days apart. I don't see any evidence on the others...yet. I'll be spraying them all in hopes of keeping the others free of them. AS also has one or two lower branches that decided to bloom. The rest of the plant - not so much. Weird.

The purple on the LH progressed a little but I think it is over. The 'N' is pretty much at max for LH, GT and ZD. The others are loving it. They are drinking 4-6 gallons of water every two days. Just giving water to the five in the main grow takes close to an hour if I want to do it slowly (and I do). So far, water is still all they get, except for the two in the 25 gal soft pots. I'm throwing them some GH Flora nutes. To try and correct the mag deficit, I gave GASS 4 tbs. of Epsom in 4 gal water yesterday.

The heat is here. It was 94 yesterday and we are supposed to be over 100 for the weekend with possible rain. :(

Picture dump time. Let me know if I'm throwing too many at you.

An overview of the two grow spots.

ZD(+) is looking better too.

This is what makes me suspect a mag deficit.

These are some AS culls my wife popped into the ground after thay had been sitting around out of their pots for a day. They decided to bloom but seem to have stalled. No nute's for them.

I plan to get in there and trim up their skirts. They are in desperate need. See you next week! :ciao:

Major, your plants look like they grew a lot since last update. you dont have any WA10x correct? Can you get some Mg into her with Epsoms or CalMag?

Go GT and ZD!! :grinjoint:
I have both. I believe they have enough calcium. I did give it a good shot of Epsoms. Too soon to tell if it helped.

Dude.. a lot of us here are dudes. :blunt: You know we don't read anything.

Go LH GO! :cheer:
With the number of pic's, I think I have the dudes covered. :thumb:

This AS has excellent branching, I think I can see difference in N levels in Promix and your other mix, what's there I don't remember. Leaves really tend to darken up with a lot of N, but as long as it doesn't cause too much stretching and lanky stems it's fine. These leaves with Mg def look like they also suffer heat stress. I remember Doc saying it can be corrected with more K, but I've never tried it myself cause I didn't have to. If it's Mg def then you'd have to raise it, but it can also be too much calcium. Good ratio should be around 7:1 or 8:1 Ca to Mg. Maybe you could buy a kit to test it or just wait and see, maybe the plant adjusts herself. Sonetimes it's not worth the trouble.

Proper little bushes Major. :thumb:

Also, I appreciate all the pictures... with captions. It's such a hassle, but it really helps when we know what we're looking at. I wish everyone would take the time to caption.

Good morning Major
Things in your garden look fabulous, and I have to agree with you, I see some of the growth you were mentioning. They appear to be fuller.
I am sure you know about it but if not get ready for the heat wave, they are saying up here that it could hit 100 by the weekend.
Nice job on the sheets, I love how you have all the wrinkles out of the sheets and the corners tucked in perfectly, I was 1/2 expecting to see pillows on the tops and a comforter wrapped around the base
It is obvious why your girls do so well for you MP, nothing but the finest for your girls.:thumb::love:

Since GASS is in used kit soil, I don't know how much calcium is left. For now, I'm assuming it is adequate. I have cal-mag if the Epsoms don't help. That plant is in a cooler spot and LH#2 is right next to it so I don't think heat stress is the culprit. I'm going to ride it out and see how she progresses. It is a bit of a pain having these extra two plants - each in unique soil. What they want/need will be different from the main grow and different from each other.

Thanks Gov! I agree. It is frustrating to see pic after pic and have no clue what you are looking at, or any of the details.

As ready as I can be. It's looking like 104 here on Saturday. Ugh!
Stay cool and don't work too hard!

Holy smokes! Amazing growth!
:thanks:

Looking amazing out there Major. Very jealous of the outdoor girls.

Mornin Major,
The garden looks lovely. I know you are ready for the heat blast coming, nice pool btw. The ladies may need some extra airflow for the heat.

Hey Budley - I'd need the gas-powered version. No electricity down in the garden. We are getting plenty of air movement. Yesterday was perfect. Temps in the upper 80's with a nice breeze. Hang on for the weekend. It should be a scorcher.
