No not all plants do but our favorite weed plant is apart of the special group that does. Scientists haven’t figured out exactly why plants do this. Guesses range from the plant allowing moisture to drip off of the plant easier to prevent pathogens to the plant keeping itself warm. Some say the plant is “asleep” saving energy for photosynthesis the next day! It’s very interesting stuff!
