Flower Child's First Grow: Seeds- Soil- MH-HPS Sun- 2013

Yeah FC, the teas are great!, excellent idea kushy! The smoothness of home grown weed, and especially organic is a great reward! You are just a week behind me and I notice that the sativas will always drop some leaves...a lot.....during this time, I think they just suck up so much energy from the plant that they can't get enough nutrition with the rapid growth. My plants will (sativas) grow like crazy, then rest, then grow like crazy again. They seem to do this two or three times during flower, my plants are in the same room with me and I have watched them grow so closely that I see every stage and stammer....LOL....I'm happy you're happy growin....nothing like makin your own weed

good weed young lady:circle-of-love:

Good morning and good weed to you fishcake and to you mcloadie. Things are looking better in this corner of the world. You sure are right about these plants growing in spurts mcloadie. The girls seem to have stopped with their suicidal behavior and are fattening up their buds again. I can see a difference in just a day! When I opened the tent this morning the smell nearly took my breath away- in a good way!!

The bomb that bronzed nearly all her leaves now has the biggest cola- its like she knows she's dying so she's trying harder than the others

Even the pineapples are starting to fatten up

And a group shot- they are looking a little raggedy but only dropped a couple leaves last nite so I am happy with them again

Thanks Harley!:thanks: I am cautiously optomistic about them. I'm hoping to harvest enough that it will last us till the next run is done. There are 3 of us waiting on this harvest- my daughter, her husband and myself. With at least 3 weeks to go, its going to be interesting to see how much we get! :)

Thanks for stopping by KushMeister. I'm hoping it's still early enough in the season that the veggie garden can recover.

For feeding I took what I thought was the easy route (because this was my first time growing weed) and only used Age Old Organics and molasses. But then I had all sorts of strange problems with the girls. I'm trying to keep it simple and that tea sounds like something I'd like to try. I've printed your recipe so I can try it on my next grow. Do you feed it to them with every watering?

Oh and reps to you too! :peace:

I tried to water with the tea every time, but I skipped a few times and used plain water.

And speaking of water, this is also something you may have covered, but you should let your water sit out, uncovered, for a day to let the chlorine and fluorine outgass before you use it, either in tea or straight.

Looking Great, Flo. Well done :) Good Weed to you and yours.
Thanks Ricorico- Good weed to you too!

Thanks Kushmeister. I routinely let the water sit a day. According to the citys water analysis they do put in chlorine. And because it is acidic mountain water they also put in some kind of alkaline junk so it has a ph of 8. I use PH down to get it to a 7 before the girls get it.

Looks like the perfect canopy to curl up under for a nap filled with sweet dreams :goodjob:

You trying to get in on my action??
Looking great Flower child!!
:bravo:

naaaa, but temps here just jumped by 15 - 20*, so kinda groggy and that's such a lovely lil forest... I could handle a nap in there :)

:cheesygrinsmiley: Hey now- theres room for everybody under there! And if you're not tired there's bleacher seating in front of the door.:laughtwo:
Seriously though I do have an old kitchen chair parked in front of the tent. Most evenings I spend a fair amount of time just sitting on that hard chair staring at the plants when I could be plopped in my Lazyboy watching TV. :cheesygrinsmiley:

What everyone else is saying.....Looking Good! It looks like you will make it to the next harvest.....at least I hope so!:high-five:
Thanks OMM- I'm hoping so too. :cheesygrinsmiley:
Looking good FC, a lot of strain specific action goes on with the cannabis, I don't have the energy to treat em all different, by treating em all the same I learn a lot.
Thanks Mcloadie, I learn a lot from everything that happens with these plants. This current run isn't even done and I'm already getting excited for the next grow. I've got seeds on the way and a tattered notebook of what NOT to do for the next time! :cheesygrinsmiley:

Did I just get invited to some weird weed orgy with voyers??? ;)
You girls are looking nice. I often find myself staring at my micro for much longer than a sane person should! :)

i would move your tallest plants to your outside edge and rotate the smallest plants directly under the light if you are able, this will help to keep you canopy level and provide all of your plants with equal light. you are trying to encourage all of your plants to grow to their height limits within your provided light.

Good weed young lady:)
I too have the kitchen chairs in the grow room. LOL
My brother and I sit in there for hours at a time lurking and burning:)

your plants look great, but I wanted to thank you for your testimonial about getting off your inhalers by using your vaporizer .I had been forced to go to urgent care with severe bronchitis caused by a bad allergy season. Real bad congestion. After reading your post ,I got mine out .When I use it ,I hacked chunks up and have not had to use the Inhalers hardly at all. I was using it just to get a breath of air...
I'm far from well, but at least I can get my breath now and I am not tied to the inhalers now....Thanks who knew
