First Grow from the Frigid N.E.

Great update Dreamin, Your girls are looking fine and will fill in very nicely as you get closer to harvest! + Reps to all the great work your doing with your grow :welldone: :bravo:
 
Hello everyone,
It's been 10 days since the last update and past time for another one. There's always a lot going on around here and everything is looking sooooo good and yummy.
The BubbleGum and the Crystal are now 81 days old and flowering for 42, that means they are 6 weeks into flower and should be about 3 weeks left. I've not started checking trichs yet because I know when I do I'm going to want to start taking test samples and I'm not ready for that yet, at least waiting is keeping me out of them and plus it's still a little early. Crystal is putting on a lot of buddage but it is also putting a lot of leaves in the buds, I hope the buds start to thicken up. She is my first venture into the world of sativa and not sure what to expect.
The Northern Lights are 81 days old and have been flowering for 33. They have just passed the mid way point and they are looking very nice and the buds are starting to really fill in. I took some pics of them so they will make their debut today.
In the last 10 days I did have 2 BubbleGum root so I'm up to 1 Crystal and 4 BubbleGum for the next grow. I just checked my clone box and none of the others have rooted so no new news today. They have now been in the clone box 13 days and I hope they root soon because I want some of them to help fill the tent for the next grow. I have 5 NL, 4 BG and 2 Crystal in the clone box now.

Dreamin, your perpetual grow has been an awesome success! You just keep turning out one good grow after another. Are you at 30 day intervals now? As soon as I can get you I will rep again! Way to grow!:bravo:

Hello Woodsman, it always feels good to hear that from you and thank you very much. I think the grow is going well also and can't wait till harvest, I'm so ready now.
I'm not to 30/30 harvest cycle but working towards it. Right now I'm at 45/15 and this grow might get me closer. I don't wont to go too long without the tent being full but am working towards the goal.

You'll be there in no time. Sure wish I could (allowed) grow like that! By the way Superweed who you met above, is a nice grower from Italy.:smokin:

You know you can grow like this if not better, you just need the support of your better half. Superweed is from Italy, it's nice to know we have grower brothers all sisters all over this world, I'm sure they have a lot to offer and I'm all ears.
 
I just smoked a bowl of my NL and I'm ready to go so lets ramble. Since my current grow is getting close to the end I thought I would give everyone a sneak peak of the upcoming grow and that's were all the excitement is happening right now. I do have a small problem (good though), my tent is 4x4 so I figure it can hold up to 9 plants comfortably anymore and it would start getting crowded. My problem is I now have 11 rooted clones and 3 more rooting and they are all girls, heeeeha. Granted two of them will become mothers but that still leaves me 12 plants with room for 9 and I will not dispose of any of them. Any ideas appreciated.
All of my clones are at varying stages of veg growth since they have rooted at different times so exact ages are really unknown.
Here is the lineup by group.
Group 1: 2 BubbleGum and 1 Crystal, they are appx. 3 weeks veg, they are in their 3.5 gallon pots, they've been topped and they have been tied, lst'd somewhat. I'm very proud at what they are doing.
Group 2: 2 BubbleGum appx. 1 week veg, 5.5" pot, not topped and have been bent over and strapped.
Group 3: 1 Crystal 3 day veg, 5.5" pot
Group 4: 4 NL and 1 BubbleGum, planted today 5.5" pot
Clone box: 1 Crystal, 1 NL and 1 BG.
Wow am I stoned.
Since my goal is to have basically one harvest monthly I need to split the tent down the middle and harvest every 30 days at 9 weeks flowering time. Right now I'm at a 14/49 day interval so my plan is to put groups 1 and 2 in the flower tent 7 days before I harvest my next crop and then groups 3 and 4 will go in about 7 days after my second harvest, that will bring my harvest ratio to a 28/35 and then the next grow after that I will start a week early and that will just about get me there. I've also thought about setting up a preflower room where they could flower for the first week in there where they would not crowd the other plants and I could get it to a harvest every 28 days.
This gives you an insight of behind the scenes and my thoughts of timing the grows.
I'm stoned and having a serious problem staying focused so I'm going to wrap up with a couple pics of the grow closet.

Dreamin, I've read your plan all the way through. It sounds like a terrific plan and for me is like a true grow should be. Perpetual and with great variety! :bravo:

BUT!

My main focus was on your inadvertent smoke report! I am all fired up now after hearing how your Northern Lights smoke is working and effecting you while your writing. Sounds like the kind of high i'm looking for and hoping to obtain with my NL. I'd love it if you would have the time, to give an even more detailed review as let's say it compares to other strains you have tried etc etc....

Hey Tiger, how's it going and good to have you back. Congrats for being nominated for MOM and you know you got my vote, you've always been so friendly and helpful.
It would be easiest to grow then harvest and then start another grow but I can't be that easy, I smoke too much then get too high and then I think to much, a dangerous combination. I figure I can get more plants in my space when half are full grown while the other half are just starting than having them all fully grown at the same time. I'm mainly just experimenting to see what would be easier and better for me and besides I really don't want to sit down for 16-20 hours trimming 8-10 plants all at once, some good Led Zepplin and killer smoke couldn't even get me through that.

I have a Mac also and I use preview, the pic program that came with the system software OS10, I'm running snow leopard now. It's a very basic program and easy to use and that's all I need.

Thanks for the approval and it's very much respected coming from you.
I was thinking of you and a new smoke report when I finished the last update so now that you asked I'll give you one.
The only smoke I can compare it to is bag weed, skunk and unknown premium smoke that I pay 50-60 bucks an eighth for, I've never been in the scene where I've had varieties of different smoke. But I'll tell you what none of them has a chance in hell of getting me as high as my NL does and when I started growing mine I never knew I could get this high.
As you know I did a 9 week harvest and a 10 week harvest to see what kind of difference there would be and there is a huge difference. My 9 week harvest blows my 10 week harvest away by a mile. Please don't wait for the long harvest you will be sorry and I wonder if that is what happened to your Mazar, went a little too long. Don't get me wrong the 10 week harvest gets me stoned but the 9 week harvest takes me to all new levels.
I will tell you of my experience today while doing the update with a time line, this is true and actually happened. At about 12:15 this afternoon I ground and loaded a bowl of 10 week NL. I took about 4 hits got stoned and started taking the pics and editing them and posting the update. About 1:45 I took a couple more hits and finished the bowl to refresh the high and continued to type or should I say think because it took so long to post that small update because I was so stoned. About 2:40 I was still not finished so I broke out a popcorn bud from the 9 week harvest, ground it, loaded it and took 3 hits. About 10 minutes later I was so stoned, I was beyond stoned I was F**Ked up beyond recognition. I started getting sick to my stomach and the next thing I knew I was worshiping the porcelain god, I did make it to the bathroom in time then I broke out in a cold sweat and sat there on the floor for about 10 minutes and let everything settle down. I'm not sick nor had I eaten anything today and the only thing I've had to drink was iced tea. I then posted what I had then laid down on the couch and slept for about 2 and a half hours. I was still high when I woke up about 5:45.
About 45 minutes ago, after dinner, I took 3 hits of my 9 Week NL and I'm so stoned right now.
I know this does not give you much to compare it to but this is what happened to me today. In about 5 to 6 weeks I will be able to give it a real comparison when I have some BubbleGum and Crystal to compare it with.

Awesome report! Wow I can't tell ya how that gives me encouragement. I'm like you, I never really knew what I was smoking. Just presumed... Hey I'd be very happy to get something like the old green skunk bud that used to blow me away. And if there is better ..... a gift! What color where your trichs at 9 and then 10 weeks? The difference I mean. Thanks so much Dreamin. I'm saving this post!:bravo:
 
If thats true I really need to get me someNL seeds !! I haven't been that stoned for ever and I've been smoking at least 1/4 or more a wk. When I was buying it I always would get the best shit they had ! Maybe I should quit for a wk or 2 ? Naa I'll just smoke more :thumb:
