First Grow, Deep Water Culture, Northern Lights, Pics

Ah ok. I pulled the pump. I'll keep an eye on them and watch for droopyness. Hopefully my res temps will come down and I won't have to switch the ice bottles out as often.

Thanks for the advice and guidance, guys!

Very nice grow Sadalix. I cant wait till i am where you are at in the stage of growth. I will be Watching closely!:nicethread:

Thanks, Mike! You'll be there before you know it. They grow up so quick. lol

Looking Good!:slide:

Thanks! :ganjamon:

You must be extra clean on the D&R's. By the time I take mine out I have a little white ball of roots in the pump. I think I'm knocking off the roots with max air but that's a trade-off I'm willing to make.

I've been running the pump in a hydrogen peroxide, water mixture for about 15 mins during my D&R's, pouring hydrogen peroxide over the airstones and scrubbing out the tank with some white vinegar. And of course, rinsing everything really well. So, I hope all of that is serving them well.

How do they look today? Are they droopy since you pulled the pump?

They're not droopy at all today. However the water is kind of cloudy. I guess I'll do another D&R to take care of it. I don't think it's linked to the pump being removed. I just hope it's not the algae coming back. :bitingnails:

Hey guys... sorry about the lack of update. I've been super busy. I kept taking pictures when I could because I knew I'd be back for an update when I had time.

Girls are doing well. The pH fluctuations I was having around the time of my last update made them look kind of rough for a while there but they're back on the right track now.

I still can't seem to get my tank temperatures down though. I have my A/C running at 65, two fans on them, the humidifier fan still going and a ceiling fan in the room on. Still, the temperatures in my tank are like 70-72 when I come home and all the ice bottles are melted. I thought the tank was just insulated poorly so I wrapped some more duct tape around it, wrapped a blanket around it and stuck cloths on the top as much as I could. Still, temperatures are 70 when I come home or wake up. The temperature under the lights is about 72-74. My airpump is outside of the closet totally and in the shade, the air tubes are covered if they're in the closet.

Anyways... on with the good part. The pics!

Yeah, their roots are still doing well. They're a little tiny bit brown in some areas but they still smell good. They're definitely filling out that tank and taking up water for sure. So I guess I'll put my mind to rest on that unless it gets higher.

The stress you feel is just from being a new grower. Relax, we'll help you! If they are drinking then the roots are fine. I run mine at 67.5 to about 71(pump in during early veg). I have a fan blowing on an uninsulated tank. Are the tanks sitting on the floor? If so you can get a couple of short pieces of 2x4 or anything solid (like a thick book) and get a little air under and around the res. Sort of a flow though ventilation system for stoners.

They're sitting on top of some stacked up coke, plastic carrying cases. I have a box fan right on the tank that runs from floor the top of tank:
