Far East Buds 1st DWC Grow

Impossible to tell strains by looking at a plant but an educated guess would be that she has a fair amount of sativa in her judging by the slimness of the leaves. Frosting up nicely already with sugar popping up along the smaller fan leaves. Gonna get some nice trim off her.

Now it's just wait for the buds to fatten up. I like taking a pic every few days then compare them side by side on the computer to be able to really see the difference. Leave a camera on a tripod and take a pic every day from the same position then put them all in an animated .gif when she's done. :)

I hate waiting...

I like your idea that would be neat. I do a pic a day of the biggest well most exposed front bud but it is handheld pic of course.
Sometimes I feel like I post too many pics. Some days like after defol it took a few days to rebound 2 days or so it didnt change much. But when I go back a week or two I am like Whoa!

Spotting...

So I hate HPS lights. I can't see certain colors. I'm going through my checklist and foliate spraying clones etc. thinking of how to expel heat etc. and take one last look at my Beaut and .. WTF that leaf has brown spots on it .. and couple more on that one... Didnt' have camera on me so I'll have to snap a pic later. At week 5 veg will it start pulling the sugars from the leaves? Is it a response that took a few days from the defol? Nutes did get a little high a few times nutes? they seem to be directly in front of fan.. related?

I know I know Get a pic...

Kinda worse than I thought.

So I shut the lights off so I could get a real look and I am kinda bummed. there are a few leaves with this going on. I thought possible nute lock from 5.50 PH which I would have fixed tonight with fresh nutes ..

But then when you look under the leaf .. Is it being eaten ?

Any help would be great I went through the 420 guide on it and htats what led me to ph causeing lock out but would 5.50 do that? it was like 5.59 yesterday if I recall. Anyway thanks in advance.

I check and adjust my ph daily and I can drop below 5.5 easy
so I don't think the 5.5 is the issue
also my meter doesn't show hundredths only tenths
but ive seen as low as 4.9 my ph fluctuates cause of the organic nutes
so its adjusted daily back up to 5.8-6.0

Thanks Cronic i appreciate you keepin an eye on me ;) The more I have let it set in and think on it.. can't be ph based..I watch it too much and it was never way out of wack.

I added 10 ML of GH brand cal/mag boost to be safe. 1 ml per gallon. Tonight I will test again and then drop nutes but like 25% or so...

So if it is possible it is a fungus or something... Should I cut off affected leaves? Wait to see? What do peops think...?
I am still in dispensary mode so the og kush and blue widow are slowing me down. ( testing testing testing)
thanks for looking

If you cut off any more leaves budding will slow to a crawl unless it's only a few.

It's the oddest thing but I agree totally that it's not pH related as long as your pen is well calibrated.

All I see is spots!

thanks and good morning friend! It's a six not just one....you earned it.

Yah I am thinking it is high nutes ... but I added the cal/ mag cause my grow shop buddy. who I somewhat trust said adding it wont hurt plants even if it doesn't need it as long as in moderation. Moderation would be enough to stop it if indeed it is the cause wont heal old growth .... There is the chance it's fungus from the high humidity. I hope to hell not .. tomorrow the humidity outside is gonna drop a lot and Friday I'll get a dehumidifier.

It wasn't there at defol. less than a week ago. But Nutes have been spiking from all the transpiration. Rookie grower as I am not realizing at this point ... it won't be taking in as many nutes... sugars now. So i was getting up to 1200 or so and I would dilute it down. I don't want above 750 for now.. probably less I don't even know the strain so that doesn't help.

The plant is worse today. Not affecting any sugar leaves but there are spots on a lot of the fans now. The buds still look gorgeous. My wife even mentioned the "aroma" today.. need to get another fan so i can use my good one just to clean air. Right now it cleans air as it dumps out of room.. Probably should make more than one pass through filter before leaving.

Any way I may post more later... need to chill and do some testing... a bit of concern today but I'll get over it.

Back at it!

8-19-2015 (67-58-36) Back at it! I went through the nightly routine. I didn't do pics tonight. Too tired from all the heat. What ever is going on with the plant bud production is still going strong.

Vitals:
71-79 humidity
72-79 temp
I swapped out 3-4 gallons with just PH'd water and the readings after 2 hours or so balancing
PPM 720
PH 5.67

So I will have to just watch very close for the next few days and hope what ever it was got corrected.
I hope that it doesn't get better before worse.. that would suck too...
The fact that it is still producing tric's is good meaning it isn't totally stressing her yet.
babbling !

8-19-2015 Continued

I swapped around my fans so that the fan for the light vents directly out of the room and it pulls air from the room not outside of room. The scrubber is back to just circulating. hoping to scrubb it all with more than one pass so it will tame the fine aroma.

anyway I'll have to keep an eye on things for a bit to make sure it is working right.

if its real bad and cannot help support the life of the plant
if its still alive and green it still can do some work

Far East, here's a link to my first harvest where I documented Doc's bud washing technique. This may help you feel more comfortable with the process.

Glad to help. You won't regret this. When you see what comes out of those buds..... Well, you'll be happy that you did.

Mites! Bah!! Can you get any of the Sierra Natural Sciences spray? There have been a few members very recently who stopped an infestation in its tracks with that stuff. I have a whole bottle you could use, but we don't live anywhere close.

Thank you for looking....
Yah its bad enough... no cob webs yet but I pulled 3 sorry looking fans and there was 2-3 scopic mites on each here and there... Like they may have just popped..

So Reacting as I do I sprayed the crap out of them with neem oil diluted spray. Went over board actually... lights and fan off for a couple hours and I'll go spray them again with ph'd straight water and boost up the fan I guess..dry them off I def don't want to start rot but my buds aren't totally tight yet so all i can do is hope...

I Guess my first DWC grow is going to be a lesson in many aspects of growing.. It actually really was going too smooth to be honest.
lesson learned... treat them anyway first couple weeks of 12/12.
Bud washing anyone? need to learn that one too in this grow i guess!

Re: Kinda worse than I thought.

are they getting better yet? can you enlighten us with the brew recipe you have in the res? I know what that deficiency is...

maybe we can help...

Defoliation is a touchy and misunderstood topic... I think you should leave them on until the irregularity is gone, then snip them.

Yah a friend of a friend mentioned to look you up for that stage... thank you for offering.. I hate adding this crap in my grow. I ran a super simple nute (lucas ,Budcandy) nute regimen so this would be clean and sweet. Got a feeling I may lose some of that so I definitely want to try to clean as much of that off as i can. First things first I hope I killed all of them tonight...

Grow store to see if he has the sierra stuff and see what works around here...

Thanks to the 420 Community everyone... You people are greatly helping out and I would be lost. Seriously.
