Exotic Genetix Trap Star Grow Journal By TwoX

Continued excellent healthy & vigor Twox. Compact & not stretchy for T5's too. Do you mean 2 wks. from germination or do you allow a seedling stage before you start counting? Just curious. :Namaste:

Thanx BL.. They did stay pretty short so far and I do keep my T5 really close In hopes that they don't stretch like crazy.

I think I was trying to point out that I wanted to put them in flower in about 2 weeks from now but I'm not sure they will be big enough. I don't really break apart the seedling stage and the veg stage when I'm counting weeks. I'm running these ladies in my perpetual so each plant has a limit of about 8 weeks to be ready for flower. I only allotted 7 weeks for the TrapStars to start from seed and be ready for flowering but they didn't grow and stretch as much as my last batch of seeds and I gave them 8 weeks. It's really strain dependent because my Urkles love 9 weeks from clone and most other clones only need 6 to 7. I try to time everything but it will probably be a work in progress for years to come. It all works out at the end
, just not how I planned it... I've learned to adapt..lol

Agh. Name that one Culture Club and separate it. I don't trust it and if I'm right they move really fast. If it's just a touchy male you won't want to breed from it anyways, but be sure. It's also a good chance to see something that just isn't all that common any more.

I think I wrote over my auto save because I know I responded to this last night..
I'm not sure If they are just showing there sex or if it's stress induced from topping. I'm pretty vigilant so I think I'll keep a eye on them and document their growth with a few frequent updates. I hope there just dudes and the other three are females. If one of the 3 turns male I'll definetly kill off the other two that showed sex to early.

Thanks for info...always curious how long others veg & whether they're including the seedling stage. Are you running the CSI Urkle? :Namaste:

The Urkle was actually a clone that I got from Harborside Oakland from a grower named Oasis.. It's his specialty and the only clone he does.. From the research I've done and comparing the traits of my cut to that of others I believe this is a cut from the original Purple Urkle.. When I was in younger (2002 or 2003, edit: maybe it was 04 or 05... I was wild back then.. lol) we got are hands on some purple Urkle and the sweet berry flavor was a lot different than what we were smoking at the time. It left a lasting impression and was one of the first strains I wanted to grow. Funny how we search for strains from our past.

Early 215 days clones slowly started to show up in dispensaries. Got real into Urkle & Mendocino Purple myself too. Now making full circle & will be growing more CSI gear. Nspecta crosses almost everything with his Urkle & MP. He says Jason King's (Cannabible author) girlfriend had the very 1st & original PU back ~2004, gave it to Eddy Lepp, & Nspecta got it through him. His IG acct. is a visual feast. Your Urkle lineage sounds very good. :Namaste:

BL, I love you..lol. So much knowledge and you always lead me on a path to learn something new.:thumb: I wish I would have started growing 20 years ago so I didn't feel so behind sometimes. I feel like I'm constantly playing catch up with other growers who have experienced so much more then me. I'm starting to realise that this is going to be a life long journey.

He is a good teacher and very helpful.. i like how he only says something when he sees a problem or wants to add to a convo. Great dude. The ladies look great twox.. id say that first pic is a female but the other two are males. That bump that is coming out of the stem on the first one happened to one of my ladies and i thought it was male too but turned out to be female and im so happy i didnt cut her cause she has some rock hard dense buds.

Probably is sensitivity, but the primordia forming lower down on the petioles is what is bothering be with that one.

Sensitivity in general is a bugger of a trait. Sometimes the best strains show it the most, but they wouldn't be 'the best' strains without it. It can be a sort of breeders trait tight rope diminishing one trait without effecting another. The little glitches are often the key to the universe but they come at a price. :)

What's up everybody., little update before we get these TrapStars Crackin..
Flowering is coming up quick and i still have so much to do.. I need to press the place order button and get my male flowering gear and i also need a solution for more clones... Lots of fun ahead.

I have 5 that are definetly ready for flowering but two of them are looking like there males.. one may be a hermie. I'll shove 5 of them in to flowering see what happens. The others will be forced in when there ready. I have some tall unruly ladies in the flowering tent and they will receive very limited canopy space.

This one has got to be a dude... he's a little suspect..

The last one ... a dude. Let him grow out a little longer. The girls will appreciate it. With the Exotic gear I've learned to be patient. It takes at least a week for a male to open pollen sacs. They give off feramones (just like us humans) and actually spur on the ladies to get things going.
Why humans wear perfume, to cover up the feramones.. sad really. But I'm twisted toward the hippy types.. that shave or not... its not my hair! hahahahaha

I haven't ever ran across a hermaphrodite plant from Exotic. Take a pic or 2. I've got S1's for sure but 5 seeds from a plant.. not a hermaphrodite. They don't do that until well into flower.

Heres a pic of her way back when.. she gave me my densest most potent buds i think. She had those same little things on her, not sure what they are but yea..

That looks very similar to the one I think looks suspect. She/He started growing one of those on each side of the plant soon after I topped her.. I'll get pics tomorrow, veg tent has powered down for the evening..

She had one on the other side of her stalk too.. I would wait buddy i wouldnt chop it yet. See if she starts forming calyxs inbetween the leaf stem and branch then you will know she is female.

Really interesting.. Im going to have to do a little research on this matter.
No worries, I plan on flowering a male or 2 in hopes of a keeper so I won't be chopping anything for awhile.. I want some F2's made out of my favorite female pheno, and maybe a cross or two, or three.
