Exceptionally High FECO Yields

Then you're not either of those two gentlemen in the photograph, who both agreed to have their pic posted on a well-trafficked Google-indexed weed site? Rare here!
Indeed sir. That would be silly of me now wouldn't it. :)

I've seen sillier here, just sayin'!
My only fear might be the google searching women mistake me for such a handsome gent and inundate me with proposals and propositions. Happens all the time. just sayin!
And I am spoken for and unavailable to boot. :)

The first set of clones was taken from the B-61 crew. NL 1 and NL 3 grew as leaders and were the first two flipping over to the flower room three days ago. A total of four clones (two per plant) were all processed and documented in a fashion similar to Shed's clone picture he shared here. Of course we spiked the waters a bit with willow water we collected last fall. I feel better about the chance of success with everybody's help. Bong hits on me.

I feel this needs to be restated. If security is of importance to you (Maritimer), I highly suggest refrain from showing any pictures of people that you know, let alone yourself(s), or any other form of information that can be used to sniff your trail so to speak. I practice in extremes when it comes to this topic. Though I believe that the LEOs won't enforce cannabis laws within reason, I still will go above and beyond to afford them plausible deniability as it relates to any such drama finding its way back to me. So until the day when growing your own is not a felony .... it's a felony.

Today was the Eleventh day of drought for Cali O clone #1 and she is being tended to this morning. Last night we put one gallon ro, and 1 quart of low strength tea in the veg room to bring it up to around 75*. First thing this morning she got the water bath so her parched thirst might not have her chugging at the refreshment. After her initial thirst was quenched we gave her the quart of baby food and announced to her peers the successful endurance of an eleven day drought. Well done Cali O clone #1. She will probably be chopped on Sunday. Of course today, she does not know this.

Meja Study Update;
Tomorrow is Flower Day #30 for our Monster Clones and we plan to apply 100 ppm. MeJA ester in a foliar spray to our test specimen. Protocols established to protect substrate exposure and cross plant overspray contamination are enhanced as the test cultivar will be removed from the flower room for the treatment. This was previously impossible because scrog methods were employed.

The substrate is protected as research indicates Jasmonates upregulated through the root system has far different effects on plant morphology than when the same hormone is exogenously applied to foliar material. The aba levels in root zones are also different from foliar growth zones. The changing concentrations of aba dictate when and how a plant will react to our foliar spray as well. This is why applying at these different times in flower are an important part of our puzzle. Timing in phytohormones is everything. Spraying at day 11 had very little noteworthy effects. Just as we might predict that even earlier applications would be missing the mark, day 45 application seemed to trigger the most results yet we are predicting later applications would be to late and also miss the target. Sweet spot we figure mathematically is around Flower Day 37 and that is a number we will remember next meja test we run.

Plus, we are sitting on MeJA in 150 ppm. strength that we have yet to squirt. Believe me something is getting squirted with this stuff. I have promised the animal lover I live with that our dog is safe from being used in an experiment. I told her only a real jerk would even think of squirting his dog with meja. A real jerk… if she ever read this journal, she might squirt me. LOL

Back has been acting up pretty bad. Breaking out the rosin press tomorrow.

Taking a short break after just squirting meja on our monster clone and getting ready to press some nuggets I was looking at the picture I just posted of the two Cali O clones. Neither plant had any toppings whatsoever. The flowering site comparisons between clones shows over two times the number of flowers on the meja treated plant. The actual flower bud size comparisons between the clones shows the treated clone flowers are over twice as large as her clone sister.
Think I will take another bong hit. What if meja did this?

Over on the DocBud Q&A thread on page 1247 somewhere Doc made a post that sort'a delved into how his Cationic drench triggers bloom type of growing which focuses on the reproductive traits of growth. There was some info that I don't agree with, but what I do agree with is that of the 2 different kinds of nitrogen we feed with, one is an anion and the other is a cation. Though the solutions will always electrically even out, I think(suspect?) that using the cationic ammonia in the soil is what triggers the plant to behave a certain way. Traditionally, the brixxers only use the Cat drench twice, just enough to trigger heightened trichome growth, but that post suggests to use Cat all through bloom if you're producing seeds.

IDK how or if this can be translated into your grow because the Megacrop's elevated potassium may inhibit the NH4+ uptake, but I'm confident that having soil might make it worth looking into down the road. I for one will definitely be concocting a Cat drench shortly after the new year, but our grows differ in that I'm making Faux Brix, whereas you're using Faux Mix. That aside though, I think (maybe) that elevating your NH4 in the Megacrop for one or two feeds just before your MeJa treatments might stimulate the girls such that the end result is what you're aiming for. If you stumble onto some loose cash, consider picking up some ammonium sulfate, or maybe ammonium phosphate if you're wanting to also nudge your P up slightly. I got 4 pounds of each and TBH, it'll easily take me 50 years to use it up, so any small weight of either will last basically forever.

Ahoy 420,
Been trying to understand recent reading where a favorite gardener says he washes his plants at harvest. Would not that knock a bunch of trichomes off? What are the benefits and effects of this harvest bath? I have never done anything close.

Ah man, you gotta wash your chops, all the cool kids are doing it now! I been doing it for as long as I been growing. I got lucky in that I stumbled onto that thread by Hiker a few weeks before my first harvesst and with just a few trusted growers positive feedback, I did it and have been ever since. Do I lose trics? I'm certain of it. I bet I lose dozens of trics per every 10 million (negligible amount). I think Doc's suggested recipe is now about 1/4 strength of the original, but I still use the full cup of lemon, but only half cup of baking soda, but that's just me. I also find it easier to use short broad totes and in the fist one I use a small 160gph sub pump with a PVC Tee bar with holes drilled to make a spray bar. That creates a constant flow across the water which is great for a bit of auto washing while it also keeping things mixed good.

I have thought terrible things about this... and yes, I was wrong again.
Many thanks all.
Today the two little clones are getting chopped and taking a bath.
I like Graytails idea about using two sinks.

Washing is good. It helps with a good slow dry I believe. I do it but in winter it's not for me unless I have mold or bugs. My area is small for watersports.
I got the area to do it. The lemon juice and baking soda are also on hand. But, I can't see good enough washing the dinner dishes according to my wife. She does half of them over if I wash the dishes. I wonder if she would be willing... Stone, your a genius. I will tell her your wife washes yours! Thanks bro
