Exceptionally High FECO Yields

I am looking forward to tasting her. Sounds bad while she is still with us. hehe

Ahoy 420;
A bit of gardening I can still enjoy is hand feeding the plants. I find ways to get on my butt, even in the tightest of spaces and I pour slow. It is normal now, either as a function of my lack of social contact, or my gardening getting even weirder that I will talk out loud with the plants. So, while I sit slowly feeding the plants, I give them lectures on what good growing techniques I am learning and using for their pleasure. I also tell them stories of the plants I see grown here on 420. Even my garden leaders are now subject to criticism to the point that if they are getting cocky, I remind them of the amazing yields my friends are getting. One thought is I post a picture or two from Farside or Skybound’s garden and paste it on the non-reflective parts of wall I need to cover. That will get em green with envy.

The Cali O clone#1 is on her ninth day of drought and did not seem amused watching the rest of the crew sip on Mega Crop. She is such a tight mess I have no way to monitor leaf wilt. More going by feel, or guessing as I watch for Thursday so I can reward her.

Cali O clone #2 that was treated with meja on flower day 30 is enjoying the fertigation she just got. Meanwhile her buds are at least twice the size of her clone sisters. This clone has amazed us since a few days after spraying when she developed a population explosion of pistils, clearly separating herself from the other clone. She has not looked back.

The Monster clones are looking great. I was remembering that these clones began as an experiment with home made rooting booster using willow extract we concocted. It worked. We will be using some more willow here in the near future. The smaller clone was treated with meja on flower days 11 and 20 and is catching up or passing the un treated clone in the size of both plant in general and flowers. Bud making showdown. Watching.

The B-61 garden had two Northern move to the flower room yesterday leaving behind 1 Northern and 1 GSC that we plan to veg for 6 weeks. All are doing well at this point.

I really need to clarify, but I literally just took the worst yield of my life from a good yielding strain, and whilke using FauxCrop. I dropped 2 Pineapple Chunks from the same set of clones, one in my Faux Brix, the other still in the croutons being fed Faux Crop and between those 2 plants that each vegged no less than 8 weeks, I yielded a whopping 5 zips combined. Granted the Faux Crop is doing fantastic to my final hydro plant, I clearly was doing something wrong on the PCs, so maybe you should just deck your walls with Farside's beauties as he actually grows beauties, and repeatably.

Stone is right in giving you a haha. I gave you one as well. Your funny. You could mess up a dozen in a row and your still a gardener I trust and respect. You push studies and experimentation in your gardens like your Captain Kirk of cannabis exploration. Your advice of trusting in Farside is well intended and compliments his gardens. I think my trust is evidenced as my new garden B-61, is a Faux Farside Remote Garden that I simply tend to as he has outlined. My experiments and tinkering is only with spare plants for the next couple runs. Maybe after this one if I can get my zips in double digits. But no matter what you say about your under performing, you have moved me closer to being a better gardener. :)

We live, we learn, we fall down, and get up again, each time the wiser. I wasn't particularly happy with my last effort but I learned something from it. 1) I'm not a fan of quad-lining. I felt I did better topping and bowl training. 2) My yields are better cramming 4 smaller plants in the tent than trying to grow 2 bigger ones. Kinda a modified SOG approach. Feeding is the one constant i feel very comfortable with at this point. I had my struggles too, but now that I got it down it seems so simple I can't believe I ever screwed it up so badly. My current grow is challenging me in new ways. I've had more environmental issues than I've ever had. Up to this point I've always just let it be what it was because it was never too far from the norms. I've got the cold problem solved, now it's humidity that's off the charts. Hopefully Thursday that will be rectified.

The taking of clones is a serious decision when I consider a failed clone also a failed flower that was chopped away before blooming. The beauty of this forum allows for experienced gardeners to feel good knowing they just bailed some lout out of a jam. Anybody up for feeling good?

When taking clones is there really any disadvantage of selecting the lowest branches that would not do well anyways? I read folks say only take prime growing shoots. Is this written in stone?
@Skybound my man, this is right up your ally?

I take cuts from wherever is convenient for me. Just today, I snatched a pair off a GSC and both AP's, and starting from the bottom, I snipped away the thin little useless stuff that would later be coming off anyways and worked my way up till I found my target branches to put in cubes. They gotta be woody, but can't be wooden, but right in the middle. TBH, I'd bet a kick in the ass that any vegetative growth would reveg and root. Heck, I remember a guy on here harvested a plant and did not leave a single leaf on the plant, and just the green sticks were enough to reveg the plant, so I'm certain a weak little branch will root if taken from a good healthy plant, and planted to a good healthy medium and has close to ideal watering practices and temps. FWIW, I have an unproven theory that if I snip the 45º cut across a set of branches, the thicker knot will have more hormones and might enhance the chance for success. So I try to snip across an intersection when possible or practical as sometimes I just can't.

FWIW, you can also snip a long branch into segments and they'll each root. I cut between the nodes, leaving three nodes- two to sprout from and one to root on each segment - did it a couple times successfully. It doesn't seem to matter how close they originally were to the main stem or not.

And in general, I have more success from lower branches than tops.

And I also get 80+ percent from just sticking them in cups of water.

:Namaste:

I thank all of you for your assistance. I only have 2 Northern and 1 Cali Orange seed remaining in my stock. I got pissy with Southern Oregon Seed Co. and at present have no seed bank this side of the Atlantic. Can anyone make a referral for a stateside bank that can be trusted? The Canadians sound like next best option but they also must clear customs.

This is driving my paranoia about the clones. I have been great at cloning when I did not particularly care if they rooted or not, treating the clones as a play toy. Well now I have a need for the clones so I will goof something up sure as shit.

Ahoy 420,
Awesome news here. Just got off the phone with @survivorx2 and he is up for the two hour road trip. We will be taking clones together learning and laughing. I hope to remember to grab a picture of our reunion. Amazing, this man was told he would probably pass a couple months ago. Then we (420) came into his life. Thanks all.
What a surprise phone call.

The only bank I ever used was Herbies in the UK. I hope your question finds an answer that I can also benefit from reading. Last night I stumbled onto seedcellar.com from Michigan, but on their site they state they'll only sell to legal states, and IDK if you need to provide credentials to verify that, nor do I know of their shipping practices. I am merely interested because they have Elev8 and Gage Green under the same roof. It would be awesome if there was a state side bank that shipped discretely and had all the killer breeders under one roof.

Thanks Shed/Sky Too many bong hits maybe?

I can get a license to grow legal here now but wish to remain off the list. My firearms are not registered with a firearms owners identification card either. I shy away from any lack of anonymity. Who's door do they come knocking on? I live in the country and we have different ways and viewpoints about this kind of stuff.
