Emmie's 6 Plant, True Living Organic, LED Grow Journal

I would go directly with the samsung H inFlux series instead. The Chinese are very good at copying things so it most certainly will look genuine. But it's not sure they perform like the Samsung chips. The expensive part in a build is not the strips/leds it's the driver. And there no one of us should get any other than Meanwell. We run electrics in a damp/moist environment and this tends to shorten life on things so if your in to having the light a few years don't hassle those $$ it costs to get the real deal.

I'm always willing to lend a hand to a build if I can, if you need help with it.

I agree with the Meanwell being the only choice. I work with electronics daily and have disassembled a Meanwell just to see how they are made. They are SOLID. The guts are totally encased in resin epoxy so it would be very hard for moisture to ever be a problem.

Four out the six needed watering today and the other two will tomorrow. Tonight's menu was 1tbl Big Bloom, 1tbl liquid fish, 1 tbl aloe juice, 1 tbl banana extract / per gallon. Two of the plants, Super Cheese and Ice Breaker are not fully into flower just yet, but a day or two behind the others. Some work was done rearranging plants from tallest to shortest, and the two LED were adjusted accordingly, and the shortest plant in the room, NYCD, was set on a box to be equal to the next shortest plant. The two shortest plants were given 2 cups of this special nutrient water just to water the top roots and the rest were given 6 cups which produced runoff last time, but failed to this time.
Here is a picture of the uneven canopy showing that stretch is definitely underway, and a few overhead shots of our newly flowering beauties.

Stretch has definitely started, and I had to raise the lights on the left side up about 5 inches after seeing some indications of stress on the upper leaves.

Highya Emilya,

Looks like a jungle in there. Leaves look fine to me, but I'm finding it difficult to see much for very long with that color light. Raising the lights always stops the stress. Good call. Healthy looking, though.

Today and yesterday have been a virtual rainy time, a monsoon if you will, in my tent. I started watering yesterday morning by mixing up a 3 gallon bucket and going to it, a little, maybe a cup or two at a time. The two that were being a little slow were just given a little yesterday, but they caught up today. I watered a couple of times yesterday afternoon... another couple of cups. Did it again, before bed...
And then this morning at lights on we had another big rain shower, and in total they all got what they got last time I watered, plus some... each just to the point of runoff.
Everyone is flowering now and some quite dramatically. I will not be surprised to start seeing frost on a few of them as early as next week. These lights are awesome!
Each plant is reaching up to the light like never before, sucking up more and more water upon every cycle. Now the game is to see how much water we can uptake while we keep the microlife alive and teaming with activity. The containers will never go fully dry again, and as water use continues to rise, I will get closer and closer to watering them every day, fully working both the top and the bottom sets of roots. They appear to be on a 2-3 day cycle right now... let's see if we can push them a bit more.
A note on the last feeding: This morning I am seeing a lift dramatically stronger than before the monsoons hit, bringing along with it, all those good nutrients. I regularly water at this point with aloe, big bloom and fish juice, and usually my dandelion extract and I don't recall in the past such a dramatic surge as this one. I replaced the dandelion with the half done banana extract. hmmm. Well done, Birdie!

The commotion in my tent this morning is outrageous to say the least. If they had voices they would be singing. If they had feet they would be dancing. If they had legs they would be marching. They are all standing straight up looking at the light and celebrating their chance to taste banana juice. It is flat out amazing.

We are now officially in day 3 of flower. The lights seem to be doing a good job.

Sorry for the grainy pic, this is my banana and sugar mix but it's not going quite as planned...? I've got it on a heating mat as don't know if it's braking down which surely it must be, I did equal parts brown sugar and banana and then added some molasses but I have a feeling I've made a blooper somewhere....?? Morning....lol

Hey Em - is that DOcBud HBB kit drenches and tea?

Hey puffer - yeah a few breathe holes in the container or the lid, so there’s just a little air exchange. You don’t want things going stagnant in there :Namaste:
Thanks Amy !! I'm leaving the lids half on/half off, for now. the day after I mixed everything, the containers were warm to my touch, and now nothing. Is this normal?

My banana extract has taken on an odd characteristic. Just today the specific gravity of the solution has reached the point where it is just as heavy as the remaining banana chunks. The chunks are no longer floating on the top, but sort of suspended in the solution, with some of them heavy enough to join the sludge in the bottom. This stuff is breaking up fast, today at day 9 of the experiment. I added another tablespoon of molasses too, thinking the fermentation had slowed down a bit.

I took a look around your links and tutorials for the banana extract recipe but can’t seem to find it. Pretty sure you shared the recipe somewhere but can’t seem to find it.

Cut up banana peels, simmer in water, and cool? Then add some molasses or brown sugar?
