Dyold's Grow 1

All you guys doing these co2 setups should look into actually home brewing beer, all my fermenters are tied up with Tastey beverages right now but why not kill two birds with one stone? If you have any questions ask me. I made a double IPA and dry hopped it with shake trimmings and about an 8th good nugs. 12% abv. Hops are so closely related to mj you can actually graft them to each other. The beer was bottled in 22oz bottles and after drinking one the buzz wore off right sfter the high hit full force, danger will robinson.Just rambling ;)

Nice one I use a 4 bottle system for my area, posted the build on my journal a while back as Spimp loves his DIY lol.

Yes LA I believe I looked at yours also..I looked at so many. I decided on the Home brewers set up. Yeast never dies as long as you keep adding sugar and keep the water/alcohol ratio so it don't kill the yeast.

Looks Great Dyold! Where do you get your airlock, if it's glass, from? I know you can get them from home brewer supplies, but I don't have any of those around here.
Thanks!

Yes Cannafan I went to a Home Brew store and purchased these Carboys and the airlock thing is plastic.

Caught up and I'm going to steal a phrase from my trendy husband: "Totes profesh" :thumb: (Meaning that your work is superb :;):)

And I LOVE the outside pictures. Green has always been my favorite color, MJ aside, and the colors in those shots are truly beautiful.

Great job! +reps :cheer:

Thank you Dresney for the kind trendy words and the Reps -----> right back at ya. I have always been partial to green however when I relaxed and really got a chance to look at the pictures of them in natural light on my hd monitor, I was like wow that is the coolest green I have seen anywhere. :dreamy:

Well a couple pics of random things. Hooked up the Carboy Co2 GenBottle.

I actually may do this since I have 6 to 7 weeks to go yet. The whole setup is pretty cheap and you can get some brew kits you basically just heat up some water, add the packet of < insert brew name here > add yeast let sit for weeks and bottle. Sounds like a plan. Thanks ShrubHub I need another project .....

Daily Update, Week 1 of Flower done, Day 1 of week 2. Total of 45 Days in room.

Just added another Carboy with a higher ratio mix in the brew bottle. Talk to my local Home brew shop guru and found out that Champagne yeast is known for it extreme high Co2 production and recommended I use that if I am looking for just Co2 enrichment. He also went on to say that if you exchange or recharge would be a better word 50% of the liquid in the Carboy ( or whatever your using ) with some room temp water with a couple of cups of sugar dissolved completely in it, then you will in theory never run out of Yeast as it generates off spring and becomes self sustained as long as your doing this weekly or watching the alcohol gravity.

Have fun and Enjoy.:peace:

Dyold - I need you to take all those plants outside and get a shot of them together like that last photo. Sea of neon green. That would be definitely be my new screensaver :green_heart:

(I'm 4/5 joking - that would be SO much work! :laughtwo:)

I actually said the same thing to my Wife last night. I think it would freak them out, I may try it with like 4 of them we will see. It would make a good desktop background.

....And that is how amish friendship bread starts. :cheesygrinsmiley:
Looking fantastic in there Dyold. You're going to need to get your scuba gear out soon so you can swim around under those plants to feed em' in that sea of green. :) Love the outdoor shots, so much more true color than indoor lighting.
I'm jealous!!!

Looking awesome, amazing, fantastic, ridiculous, I wish I had that much space to run a grow. The plants are looking great Dyold.;)
Thanks for the tips on CO2 production. I'm gonna do a DIY CO2 next round in my closets. I was using a product called "the Enhancer" for CO2 this round, and it worked but its a little pricey when I can do it myself for a couple bucks.

haha ziplock bags of potentially "Years old yeast" that you burp from time to time to let the co2 out.... I miss friendship bread we had a batch of yeast go for years and each batch was sweeter and sweeter mmmmmmmmmm!

Pretty slow day today and the girls are budding in earnest since adding the Co2 bottles. :peace:

Have you put up any signs of warning? Just in case you get Sir David Attenborough and his camera crew poking around looking for the lesser spotted Spimp!
Your garden looks like the place I'd want to lay down and die in! Absolute and complete green heaven my buddy well done and have some more reps!!!!!!

I took almost a pound of leaves out of the room today when i finished watering/defoliation/inspect today. Place was getting a little out of control. Thanks for the reps LA and the props, trying to keep it simple and humble. The Ladies are flowering in earnest and I feed them today with a 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of Fox Farm Cha-Ching as a stand alone.
