I can’t recall if I directed you to Farside’s journal, but here’s a summary of one of his many successful grows:
Highest dose during flowering - 6g MegaCrop (V1 I think) + 5ml silica, which provided:
142ppm N
41ppm P
271ppm K
89ppm Ca
36ppm Mg
(3.5N-1P-6.6K)
2 auto Blue Dreams = 5.25 + 8 oz good buds + larf
1 auto Girl Scout Cookies = 6.7 oz good buds + larf
3 autos = 20 oz of good buds, 29.5 oz total
This would appear to be a good nutrient profile to aim for.

Wouldn’t pay that much attention, but never seen that kind of ”pre-flowering” signs.. they were just too odd even tho the whole strain gave me headaches.
Does like same the same thing apply in cannabis as for example in dogs; the more refined the variety/strain the more sensitive and prone to everything?

Both Criticals were hermies, as expected.
Ive no idea how in the earth and would like an explanation for it. Guess never going to get that answear. Too much stress? Idk how, since BB Kush doing great and they’ve had same conditions.. Self breeded half baked fake bulk seeds?
@GardenofGreen idk do you have any guarantees for germination and 100% fem? Prolly does not matter since they wasn’t directly ordered from your online store…
Ordered total 5 of Critical 2.0 XL Automatic seeds,of which 3 only germinated and only two of them popped. Two from five? Eh.. must be something else than just bad luck.
Critical (coco) bananas stacking up already.. She goes down today.
…And found nanners from DWC Critical as well as expected.
This was the most ironic part of whole thing, idk if Im laughing or crying.
Like a week ago at the morning when I was measuring the pH and EC, I was eating banana there and slapped a Chiquita sticker on DWC and thought like ”lol imagine if this plant would produce bananas. I managed to get it like 2-3 feet tall even tho there was so many troubles at the beginning.”
It got real bushy and big…

Im picking up a three pack of Barneys Farms Purple Punch automatics today from a delivery.
One goes DWC and one soil. Still waiting for the Dos Si Dos seeds. But starting the new germination straight away as soon as I get PP seeds.
And yes let’s not forget the lil shy lady from the back of the tent!
Blackberry Kush will be the shining star for now. Haven’t plucked a single leave from her. Ive just topped it once. Now Ive got some space to train and spread the colas.
Took a quick look thru the diary. ppm values looks reasonable. Using GHE tripart is quite hard to achieve 1:2 ratio of N&K without ramping P values over 50ppm..Heya V!

Do you have any suggestions for an extra K supplements? Armor si (Silica with 4 or 6% K in it) would be great, but can’t find it from finnish online stores.
I’ll update later when I get the new seeds!
PS. Lol this comparison growth turned out as a survival growth and BB Kush will be last lady standing today.

I've never done either, now everything goes to the compost pile.
She would been a beauty that's for sure. But you've come a long way since you started- and the next one, and all others will become slightly easier with experience.

Purple Punches sittin in glass of water for the next 12-24hrs then gonna place them between moist paper towels.
GHE Root Booster label and descp says can be used to increase germination success.
It contains kinda much all kind of organic things and hummic acids, idk if I should use it before they pop..
Soaking starter cubes overnight in water jar wheres and lil bit of kelp/seaweed extract.

Hah. Was actually excited about Tangerine Dream. It had some new cross with G13 before breeding with ruderalis. Not gonna germinate or grow it yet, due the lack of the space.I was thinking “bummer”

Decided to continue with the current tent and see if I can fit current BB Kush plus two Purple Punches in it. One PP goes into soil and one DWC

Took BB Kush for a flush today. Leaves were clawing for a bit and looked like lush dark gren.
Ive fed her around 2-2.2EC ~140ppm N volume ~2L every two days.
pH being adjusted to 6.5 for optimal absoption.

Both Purple Punches germinated in less than 48hrs.

End of the 5th week.
Funny how Ive fed her mostly just using lucas 1:2 with higher than recommended dosage (about 2 EC / 1000ppm) which has provided bout 90-110ppm Ca and 60-70ppm Mg. So thought maybe a lil Cal/Mag boost would be good since shes sittin on the king spot directly under TS 1000
Well I guess 0.45ml/l BioBizz CalMag just messed up the nutrition because day after fed extra cal/mag little Ca def looking symptoms started to appear..
Well dummie… Stick to the nutrition that works.
As Ive read first thing to fix Ca def would be try to change VPD..
if it gets any worse going to reduce RH for a bit and see how the leave tissue reacts.
Trichomes starting to stack up on sugar leaves. If she keeps progresses like that Im expecting very impressive yield from this.

Both Purple Punches germinated in less than 48hrs.
Prepared everything for planting:
- This time used starter cubes instead of RW. Feels like constantly wet RW caused some of the troubles last time.
- Soaked starter cubes in 6pH water where I mixed ~2ml/l GHE Root Booster and 0.5ml/l Kelp-Seaweed
- Decided to plant the soil PP directly (pre-buffered BLM with same Root Booster & seaweed mix)
Less than 48hrs
Planted!

- Resistance Against Botrytis (5=Best): 5
- Resistance Against Cold (5=Best): 5

Found Barneys PP auto as a best option for me. Plant should reach maximum height of 80cm. And growth should be robust and multi branching supports sturdy compact bushy plant.
Fast life cycle and should be relatively easy to grow if resistance factors are true.
Also going to buy a cheap additional UV light for the late flowering if that would bring up the purplish colors even better.
Own notes for conclusion:
- To achieve maximum potential of multi branch growth ~ Keep N&K ratios 1:2 at the beginning and ramp up Potassium ratios to support strengthening plant tissue and provide sturdiness. (Terpinator 0-0-4 will be a nice beneficial alongside GHE Tripart) can easily achieve 1:2 or even 1:3 N&K ratios.
- Relatively short life cycle ~ might start with 20/4 or 22/2 lights first. Need to avoid all the predictable problems.
- LST Clips ~ MUST
If this tends to be true, then at 2nd week start supplementing GHE Silica and lower GHE Micro dosage to not skyrocket Fe ppm values.
Purple Punch tends to be a bit prone for a excessive N but needs large quantities of Mg.. If I remember right N and Mg had synergism..
- First 1-1.5 weeks highest possible color spectrum (blue) / 85W CFL 6500K for the seedlings to maximize leaf growth. Also requires less Ca than under LED ~ easier to adjust better nutrion balance with Ca & Mg.
Excellent choice!
Those levels should see you through harvest
I would be cautious approaching 1:3 - this seems to be a ratio that can mess with Ca and Mg uptake. Remember, the plant can take up only so many cations - and cannabis will always prefer K to its own detriment.

Yup back to the nutrition which worked great.
1:3 ratio N&K isnt that realistic during the veg.. probs wont go over 1:2
1:3 maybe during bud set/flowering if plants happy with that and eats.
And yes thats why I had this thing listed up and gotta pay attention. When nutrition supply begins gotta to find the sweet spot as high as I can but must be cautious to avoid over dosing..
Will most likely break the updates down to specified ppm levels and make like a weekly chart which seem to work best during each life cycle.
Ive found many useful calculators to calc exact amounts of everything and quickly sum up ppm values which can be compared with recommended values.
Obv still a rookie but feeling a lot more comfy with this new growth.

Ca def symptoms slowly spreading. Couldn’t really mess with the VPD as Ive to balance it for the up comming seedlings and for the flowering plant.. So gotta stick with ~1.4 with 25C tent temp leaf offset is like 3C difference (the ones closest to the lamp) and 45% RH.
Gave her total 3.5L water ~0.4 EC worth of Cal-Mag. So decided to test the run-off TDS and pH.
Everythings fine there runoff EC was 1.1 /550ppm and pH 6.3 no built up salts!
Calcium deficiency/lockout - look @ 11/1
And couple shots from
