Tell me bout it AN is pricey but ive found a few
Affordable products like the jungle juice and
Iguana line, ive never used AN or GH i started out wit ionic and now um using technafloral wit pretty great results
Um always looking for better nutes to wrk wit any thing u can suggest?:peacetwo:

depends on how u grow. i could suggest many things, but if u tell me exactly what u are running i could be more specific.

I use AN Rhino Skin which is a silicon base nutrient with K in it. It help your plant build chlorophyll and stronger cell walls to prevent stress from heat or cold. Also makes you plant branches and stock more ridged for later on in flower to hold up bigger buds and it also promotes bud growth. I use this from start to finish. Carbohydrates since in coco/soil I use Botanicare Blackstrap molasses. Boost in sugar and also feeds the soil. I wont compare Bio root with voodoo juice but theres GH Rapid Root ENHANCER and thats cheaper than voodoo juice. But I stand by both of them. Also house of Garden root enhancer


Im not so worried about buds, im more of a veg person and roots kind of grower. The flowers will come when they come. Veg is more important to me. :)

Thanks for the feedback Wiz. I'm heading to the hydro store this evening, so I'll have some things to think about on the drive down (my shop is 90+ minutes away).

I'm not sure if I want root accelerator. I understand how more roots leads to bigger yield, but I also know from experience, that these little Ebb&Gro buckets will fill with roots anyway. I would like to delay the plant being root bound as long as possible. My room is brand new, so I'm not trying to maximize yield yet. For this run, I'm looking for a couple nice mothers and to just get a quality harvest. I'm mostly asking about the additives to find "must have" sorts of things.

Thanks C. I didn't realize you were growing in coco/soil. I'm using an Ebb & gro, so I may not need the same regiment you're running.

I too don't focus on the above ground stuff. I'm well aware that what happens below the ground is more important. The plant is useful as an indicator of a problem in the roots. Even nute burn isn't a problem with the plant, the problem is at the roots. All these additives are of course doing what they do at the root level, but it does have an above ground result. I was just curious about which additives are thought to provide what result. Right now, I don't care about making them grow faster. I wouldn't mind having larger and denser buds, but for this first run I want to keep it as simple as possible.

I was gonna go 50/50 as you had mentioned it before.

I will be running 4 plants maybe 5 I would like 6, will have to see how much room they take up, in a 4x4 tent, had to throw out some furniture as my plans continuously get bigger :thumb:

I will be running a 600 hps air cooled hood (not a cooltube) 5" extract 4" intake. I was given a clone last Friday and have it in my 2x2 tent under a 250watt CFL. I just looked in and already I can smell it, its 4 inches high lol, this thing is gonna stink. My AMS and KK will be here tomorrow so I plan on popping them over the weekend. KK was a freebie from herbies. along with a couple others but I will just put them in a draw for a while, I think 3 mothers will be enough for now.
 
Oh and my PH will be spot on every time I feed/water, I know how important that is. I ordered the same PH/EC/TEMP meter you have £128. Seemed like a good deal considering the cheaper ones still comes to 90 quid ish anyway.

i grow coco, dwc, flood and drain, hempys and rdwc. i give same for roots in them all. u'll never get rootbound in a regular grow period unless u use really small plants.

smart move, too many people settle for cheap alternative that arent accurate and fail quickly. i'll give u a few more specifics later on coco as im off to work now mate.
 
ok so harvest will commence tomorro, with the 2 ive chopped im on to get about 13 oz dry so good start. if it carries on like that be a bumper harvest. will post pics in day or 2.

ive decided to run 2 1000w hps in next grow and im still undecided on system. was going to go 8 oxypots but then thats more of the same. how about 4 oxypots and 12 coco pots? i think it would be an issue to add a recirculating sytem as id have to modify tent and wait for equip to be delivered. im looking to start by mon or tues latest. im still open to suggestions.

ok i have been and defoliated my 24 pot flood and drain system today. It is 21 of 12/12 today and as u can see the flower formation is great. I havent stripped them bare, i took around 50% of large leaf off and some lower stems that wont produce much.

I made a recovery feed which consisted of:

175litres tap water e/c 0.3

Canna Aqua Flores A+B 600ml e/c 1.5
Dutch pro explode 120ml
Rhizotonic 350ml
B-52 150ml
superthrive 40ml
ph-bloom (phosphoric acid) 30ml

its an excellent yielder and flowers form quickly indeed. but its also quality smoke with a very fruity aroma. really good for stealth as the odour isnt overpowering like some skunk strains.

so since you've grown pretty much everyway there is and this is going to be your personal grow if im not midtaken why not try something different. I dont know how many monster mommas you have but if you put one of them under a 1000w hps you could do a scrog like this:)
