Dutchman's Auto Quads Vs LST With A Critical+2.0 Twist!

It took a while but I finally caught up with your journal. Your plants are cruising along and looking great. I don't know how you find the time for all the pictures and updates but it's paying off. Very nice journal brother.
Thanks Killian! Takes some time but I really enjoy it and being able to look back Day to day is really interesting! Thanks for the feedback!

Nice work on the clone Dutch! Still waiting for the plane ticket but I and I won't worry about it until we get closer to the date!

That was the only thing I thought of when I saw that pic :thumb:.

Thanks Shed! Yea as soon as I saw the one root trying to push through it was time!

What’s up my lovely 420 friends and family! It’s a beautiful day here at the Dutch house and do I ever have some exciting news!:yahoo:

Yes! That’s right ladies and gentleman!
PEa1 looks to be turning around and coming back! She hasn’t looked this good in quite some time and the leaves are starting to get a nice green coming back to them.

I think the boosted feed and removing the tie downs have really helped so far and fingers crossed she keeps on this track! The look of her is stunning and she’s got a great shape! If she perks up and finishes out strong I’ve got a good feeling she’s going to be the star of the auto grow show this time!!

Now the CC autos are getting frosty!! Wooh!!

They are stinky and sweet all in one! The breeder stated it’s a 55-65 day strain and today is Day 56. I don’t think either of these girls will be ready in a week though. They still have a ton of white hairs and I’m sure they need A while yet to really chunk up and fill out!

Now these critical ladies are already beginning to frost up!

Today is Day17 of Flip and they are basically done stretch now. I will be doing a good defoliation this Saturday which is Day 21 of Flip. This will be to open her up and remove any blocking leaves or lower branches that didnt make it to the canopy! They have the beginning scent of lemon and gas and a lovely beautiful green colour. More pistils continue to push out and the views are looking better by the day! I’m so eagerly waiting for them fat colas!!

Anyways that’s it for my fun filled update for today! I’m excited to wake up and see how PEa1 looks tomorrow!! Fingers crossed she looks even better from here on out!

Stay medicated my friends!

Interesting. It looks like they were starving and PEa1 was showing it before the others, likely because it is the largest of the bunch. I’m really excited to see what they look like tomorrow.
I’m not sure if it was good or the stress of being tied down but whatever it was it seems to be passing and she seems to be rebounding! She’s still looking happy and perky today with more green colour coming back to her leaves! Fingers crossed but I think I may have got her back on track!!

PEa1 :yahoo:

I'm sure it was the food.
I’m just happy she’s starting to look happy again! She’s such a lovely qaudline Auto I would hate to see her not reach her full potential!

I've done a lot of training and seen a lot of training and never seen a plant look like that because it was tied down. Just an opinion but I firmly believe it was just an underfeeding problem. It is also why I only adjust one thing at a time so I can measure how plants respond to just one thing changing at a time instead of two. I know you really wanted to get it fixed but sometimes just trying one thing at a time and seeing the response will pay way more dividends for other grows in the future because you can pinpoint exactly what the problem was. Just some food for thought next time! Autos can be really touchy and I could very well be wrong but in my experience it just doesn't make sense that it was a training issue to me. Either way I am just really glad she seems to be doing better. Keep in mind for future grows as well that if you end up with plants that are bigger or smaller then average that you might have to adjust the PPM of the feed up or down as well as the amount of feed given depending on the size! I have one plant that is smaller then the other 3 right now (Double Berry) and she gets 2/3 of the amount of the other ones but seems to be ok with the PPM so sometimes just one or the other has to change as well.

What’s up everyone! Quick update for today since all the ladies are doing well and growing steady!

PEa1 is still looking happy and perky! Her colour is coming back even more now and she seems to be drinking quicker. She’s almost ready for another feed/water!

Both the CC ladies are stinkyyy!! The have a skunky fruit smell that is just heavenly. I want to try the low and slow drying method with these girls in the fridge!

The critical ladies are loving life! Frosting up and getting bigger these 2 gals aren’t shy of the starlight! They both need a defoliation which will happen this weekend.

That’s it for this update though so I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day and stay medicated!

It's great to see the PEa1 rebounding nicely. Shes spreading her arms out
Indeed it is! :yahoo:

:cheer: Yea PE quad!! Great job troubleshooting Dutch!
Thanks HH! She’s been a tricky lady but I love her! I’m sure she will treat me well come harvest!

That’s some great info Ase and I completely understand what you mean when you say to do 1 thing at a time and see if there is a change. I will be sure to keep note of it in the future and only change 1 part of the grow structure at a time!

Honestly though I can say I’m pretty excited to see her on the rebound!!

Feb.7

Well hello everyone!:welcome: I hope your all well and enjoying yourselves. Not a whole lot to chat about today but some great photos to share so I’m excited to dive in!

All the autos are looking great and almost ready for their next feeding ( probably this Saturday ). I am looking forward to seeing how the react to the next round of a heavier feed mixture.

As I was looking at the autos today I’m noticing CCa2 is going to be the first to come down followed by CCa1. Both the PE autos will be going a while longer. CCa2 is really chunky and extra frosty with lovely skunky fruit smells. I decided to pull out the macro lens and get some closeups today! The trichomes on the calyx’s are mostly cloudy with a few clears but no ambers yet. By the looks of her I’m guessing 2weeks. Let’s take a closer look.

I saw the sparse amber on the odd sugar lead while inspecting but I know that sugar leaves mature much sooner than the actual bud. So let the clock continue!! She’s got a fade starting on her fan leaves. I got a picture of it starting here.

PEa2 is getting thick and starting to push out more trichomes. PEa1 is looking happier by the day! Finally!!!:yahoo:

Moving onto the Critical+2.0 ladies! They continue to stack up and grow. I thought stretch was almost done but they are still growing and getting bigger! The frost on these 2 ladies is extremely impressive so far.

I’m really happy I took a clone of her because this is one impressive pheno!! Speaking of clone after the transplant she seems to be settling in nicely and looks happy!

I’m expecting her to get her roots stretched out and then she will begin to grow! I know how vigorously she will grow once she starts so I’m excited for her to get going!

I’m considering making the critical my first mother plant if they continue the path they are on! With the plant structure and overall growth thus far im extremely pleased! I can’t wait to see how they build over the weeks ahead!!

That’s about it for me today though so I hope you all enjoyed the photos and I’ll be sure to drop by your place soon!

Stay medicated!:ganjamon:

Same comfy seat I've had for a while. The one in front of my computer. I was looking at some of your older pics. Some nice trich shots!
Sounds like an excellent spot! Thanks Age!

I love those Criticals, you have done a nice job with them. Looks like they should be nice and frosty.
Thanks Cookie! I hope they continue the way they have been!!!

Nice macros of the trichomes. Best kind of bud porn!

I agree! Love looking at them closeups!

Highya Dutchie,

Great study in trichomes! So clear, and populated. Very nice! Do you use anything special in nutes? If not, it must be the lights. I get frost with the sun, but not like that. Cheers

Hi Bode,

Nute wise it’s nothing special just AN lineup with a few bud boosters. I can’t speak for the lights just yet but so far they seem to be doing a great job!!! They run cool and produce some good looking plants so far!

I am actually switching my nute line next grow so we will see where that takes me!

Hope your well pal!
