What’s up everyone! Another day and another update! The weekend is coming to a close and today was a busy day! It was time for the critical girls to get a defoliation. They have basically finished off stretching and needed to be opened up and thinned out.

All the autos are on cruise control and growing well. After the increased feeds the PE girls have been turning a lush green again and have been looking great! The Trichome are building on PEa2 and are just starting to come out on PEa1. They have a very faint smell right now but it’s hard to smell anything over the CC autos! They are stinky ladies let me tell you! Skunky pungent fruits is what they smell like right now I can’t wait to see how they cure and if they taste like they smell well then I should be in for a treat! CCa2 will definitely be the First Auto to be harvested of the group. She is chunky, covered in trichomes and is getting closer each day. I see almost all cloudy very few clears but no ambers yet. She has been throwing more red hairs these past few days and is getting close.

Alright now let’s take a look at the critical ladies and how they look after the Defoliation today. Since the stretch is done and these ladies have begun to focus on flower and Trichome production it was time for their first big defoliation in flower. I first went through and removed lower growth on the bottom 1/3 of the plant targeting any small Budsites or branches that just didn’t reach the canopy level. Once they were stripped and removed I then looked from above and removed any large fan leaves covering any Budsites. I selectively took larger fans that would block lower buds from the light and not allow maximized light penetration. I took some before and after did both Critical+2.0#1 and Critical+2.0#2.

Here are the ladies before defoliation.

Here they are after defoliation.

Here’s a few other pictures of some colas and the ladies back in the tent!

Alrighty folks! That about finishes this update off! I’m excited to watch the CCa girls as they get closer to the finish line but until my snips can come out I’ll patiently stare at their trichomes looking for the first ambers!

Stay medicated and I hope you all have a safe week ahead!

So many plants! They look great Dutch. The training is awesome and the structures are so cool to look at. I’m really going to have to try quad lining one day. I’ve seen it a lot but never tried one myself. Looking at your plants makes me want to give it a go ASAP lol. Happy growing!

Hey Budz! I would highly recommend trying the qaudline out! It’s a great training method and I really enjoy it! I’ve got a detailed tutorial for the quadline in the beginning of this journal here:

Must need dome galsses

Your Criticals have formed way better than my little thing in the corner. I got hit hard with the hydro stretch and ended up with golf balls and large gaps between nodes. Good job buddy :)

Thanks Prof! They are stacking up really nice and have started to fill out! Can’t wait to sample them hahahaha

Hello again everyone!! I got some wicked Trichome closeups for today’s update but not to much to discuss so let’s light up and smoke through this update!!

All the autos are moving right along! With CCa2 progressing closer to the finish line I will be keeping an eye on her trichomes this week. She is mostly all cloudy and I am just waiting for the first sign of amber to harvest. I will be drying these in the fridge with the slow dry method to try it out! But here’s a few pictures of the autos!

Trichomes anyone!

Last a few shots of the critical ladies to finish this update off!! After the Defoliation yesterday they are looking fantastic! Now to let them so their stuff for the next few weeks before the final defoliation!

Stay medicated!!

Hey Don! Glad you found your way over! I’m definitely sold on the qaudline method! I will be doing it for all my future ladies!!
Once you go quadline you never go back ;).

The post stretch defoliation looks great and I love to see you spreading the good news about quadlining to others! They will learn a great deal from your informative posts and awesome pictures. This has been a solid grow so far so just see them to the finish line and this will be a great finish to a great grow.
