Things are looking great Dutch! I hope the feeding perks that PEa1 right up.
I know you have a lot of newcomers here following your grow looking for tips, tricks, and answers for training. So I wanted to mention that your PEa2 didn't turn into the best example of LST as a comparison to quadlining the PEa1. I know you know this but for anyone who isn't aware, the theory behind
LST training is that you are tricking the plant into thinking it no longer has an apical stem by keeping it as low or lower than the lowest growth on the plant. That didn't happen here for one reason or another, so while you have gotten great light to the lowers, you haven't gotten the growth that results from a redistribution of the auxins (plant growth hormones).
It's the the change in position of the apical stem relative to the rest of the plant that is key to LST, rather than just opening up the lowers to light.
Of course, sometimes the plant goes into flower before you've really had a chance for the training to have an effect. I've had a few of those! Damn autos...
Nothing against quadlining (my Peyote Critical is quadined!), but I wanted to point out that while the quads look great, the LST didn't quite get flat enough to make it work.
