Dusty's Winter Grow

Sorry i have never heard of petroile:)lol....but yes if a fan leave is longer than an inch then i take it:)......ok off to watch the game....catch you tomorrow my friend:)

he means a petiole, which is the part of the leaf that connects to the stalk or branch.

Hey ya Dusty, the girls are looking beautiful I hope your doing as well as they are. Bud or not I suck at spelling, most times even spell check can't figure out what my dumb ass is trying to spell, lucky for me GDreamz is excellent at spelling. May your buds grow with a smooth flow.:goodjob::volcano-smiley:

no, unless you want smaller flowers.

Thanks B. This is like fifth or sixth generation bubs, always trying somthing differnt man.
She veged for five weeks norms I get about 3 oz just lst and lollypopin, so in about five weeks I will know if this method adds decreases yield.
Many say dont many say do I say let me see for myself lol. I will continue to take fans bassman style the whole flower cycle anything that has an inch or longer leaf stem. In 24 hrs she has showed me no slow down in flower production. buds are growing nice.

Hey DK,
looking good buddy! In my opinion, you shouldn't touch it. You've done a great job and now you're second guessing yourself. The canopy is even, the leaves are a deep dark green and your budding nodes are all coming along really nicely...each bud site has been isolated through defoil and it looks to me like all has went at least as good as you hoped for. In real life I am a plant ecologist and I do not see any reason why a long petiole would be looked at negatively, if it wasn't advantageous for the plant to grow a 1" petiole it would not grow one that long...a plant of any kind, by its very nature, will do anything and everything it can to succeed at the highest possible level that it's genetics will allow. They do it all on their own. While there are techniques that horticulturists can utilize to increase the effects of these measures, make no mistake - the PLANT is doing the work. Often I see folks treating their gardens (cannabis and otherwise) like an old cripple that can't go to the bathroom on its own.

All I'm trying to say is that you're doing a great job. A master grower becomes one not by how many steps he takes but by how many steps he can eliminate.

hey trig thanks for stoping by man. Not second guessing dirty has nice colas and uses this technique so he is guiding me.I have never agreed with taking food leafs either, but when I see a hot topic of disscusion with a clear line drawn in the sand. Something wakens that need for self discovery.
After all thats how I started using leds.
Peace brother and happy growing!

Hey Trig....i just wanted to counter part of what you said:)lol.....the taking of any fans that are at least an inch long is to allow the light to penetrate all the way down to where he has lollipopped......i have done a side by side with 2 critical kush plants.....one i topped and lollipopped and did a heavy defol of all fan leaves an inch or longer with the exception of a few on the outer edges that would not cover light to any lower sights.......the other i just did a light defol every once in a while....maybe 5 fan leaves at a time...and most of those were ones that yellowed due to no light....i actually did about 3/4 ounce better on the one i did nothing too, but that being said there was almost and ounce of popcorn buds that ended up going for butter....the buds on the one heavily defoled.....there was next to no popcorn.....all the buds were tight solid beautiful things.....as to the one that i basically left alone the buds were big but airy.....not real dense......the one with the denser buds is actually a better smoke in my opinion.....so i have done it for a little while before i grew 2 of the same to do a side by side........so after my long story......lol....it is to allow better light to the lowers which imo helps them to grow denser and better quality:)......

I have to say since going heavy with defol I've noticed the density of the popcorn is equal to the top buds. I wasn't sure if this was caused by the use of LED or the defol as my previous grows were HPS & using much lighter defol. It looks like it must be the defol :)

I hope your product work well mate, I fancy trying them myself :)

I love the hygrozyme wont start a seed without it. Its all I soak my rockwool with.
The other stuff im just starting to use in dwc buckets I notice root production almost instantly and my plants are able to handle higger e.c. Levels with oit p.h. swings. Kinda of fooking pricey but if I buy all three I get bud candy free.
