Dusty's Winter Grow

Ok... no big secret. I googled "English to Japanese translation" and then copied and pasted what Green Dreamz said looked like Japanese and it translated it for me into those Japanese characters. Then copy and pasted it here. :) This is not new to me... I have had to translate German to English to email with my brother-in-law. I speak what most Americans would probably call fluent German, but can still get caught up on some of the stuff he says. There ya have it! :)

Great info sharing here guys. Since we're always trying new things I'll let you know what I just tried and it worked.

I used my normal method of a night in h2o and I put them in moist paper towels between 2 plates for another 24 hours.

With the advice of a good friend and awesome grower, I planted them at 3/4" deep. Then I cranked up the heat to 80 degrees.

Normally I barely plant the seed 1/4 to 1/2 an inch deep and I see the sprout the next day. I spend the next couple weeks babying it because it usually shoots straight up to 2" tall and will fall over if I don't support it. The seed shell is usually still on the sprout and I have to manually remove it.

Using the 3/4" deep method the seeds all took 3 days to break soil. This morning they all were just barely poking out of the soil. None of them had the shell stuck to them. I gather this is from the journey they had to make to the top of the soil.

Also, I only filled the solo cups about 2/3rds full. This way I can fill in around the seedling as it grows and hopefully I won't have to support them.

Anyways, just thought I'd share that as it seems related. :Namaste:

Happy Monday Dusty!

I love it. We all grow killer weeds and we all do it differently. We'll still be having these conversations years from now.

This site is awesome! :Namaste::cheertwo:

Also, stinky looks strong as heaven. Stinky and healthy....

Awesome work Dusty!

Not at the moment, I put a shelf at top of my veg closet and temps are around 79 lights on &73 lights out so im afraid they will get to hot. My mat has no thermostat &will raise temps a min of 10°.
If I still had them on the floor I would use the matt at night time, cause the temps get to 68° on the floor.
the mrs. had the idea of the putting the shelf at the top.

Morning fellow growerz.
Skunny its just a cheap propagator the bottom has ridges for water run off.
Hey Dirty yesterday straight wore me out got home took a shower had a smoke transplanted the babies cause they were streaching to much.
I took pics of the deep cheese how I start them in dwc I will post in a min.

This is how I get my seedling started in dwc bucket,
The nutes just b.c. boost and b.c. grow. At 5mls per 6 liter of water on the boost and 2.5 mls on the grow.
