Duggan Does Blueberry Twist In Doc's Gear - Two Pots - 4 Plants - 1 Kit

Good, for the most part. Been getting into a dark area lately n I don't like it.
Glad ur colas are getting all big n fugly.

The best thing I have found to help me through the Dark is to
HELP someone else, Maybe take a homeless person to lunch or
breakfast talk to them and see how lucky we are not to be in
the same situation.

It helps me more than them :)

Evening Duggs and gang
Duggs you gonna make the boys some ice cream and vineiger for desert? just joking around of course. Man, don't like getting shocked, don't like even hearing about that s**t. Lineman all have mental issues   wtf, they put on a freaking chainmall suit and grab a high voltage line??? Brother-in-law showed me a video of him doing this out of a bucket lift and you can hear that s**t arcing from 80 feet in the air and see it like lightning bolts........wtf......I thought 480vac hurt like a MF so no way in hell you could get my ass anywhere near that s**t. Buck, glad you are doing as well as you are, in one arm out the other.......very bad.......crosses over your chest/heart......my chest hurt for a solid week, and it for sure scared the F out of me......stay safe Buck and glad your helper got you off that nasty bitch.

Blessed Buds our friends and be well :passitleft:

I've done shit loads of 4160 all the way up to 765 Kv. Most houses or residential is 120/240 single phase. Commercial and industrial usually 277/480 3 phase. Big pumps and stuff lit of times is 4160, pretty dangerous. In my time of doing electric I've seen 3-4 deaths. Mostly from the fall after getting hit.

Sorry to hear about your incident Buck. I work with lots of 230 and 480 stuff and freaking hate it. I install and deinstall medical imaging equipment (CTs, MRIs, PET-CTs, X-ray, etc) and was taking a system out of Manhattan NY. Anyways sparky wasn't around to begin the deinstall, so many times we will shut the system down with the EPO (Emergency Power off) button and then lock out tag out the system. Well in this particular instance, there were two PET-CTs that shared an equipment room and their main panels were right next to each other. The project manager knew the routine so he hit the EPO while I was ready to lock out and tag out the panel. Only one problem....The damn electricians had the systems wired to the wrong panel, they were reversed. If I wasn't paying attention to when he flipped the EPO and seeing the breaker trip on the 'other' panel, I would have been seriously fucked. I was freaking livid. I hate working with electricity!

Some nice gear there Duggan! Break em in!!

that's why as journeyman , we are always tought.. .check it yourself.. ..just to be 100% sure!

Yeah see, we aren't even supposed to touch it. But dealing with the awesome unions in NYC (note the heavy sarcasm), they weren't going to be able to get out there for a several hours if at all that day. So we will generally move on our own in those situations just so we aren't stuck in one place any longer than needed and we don't end up missing another job in different cities. I hate missing out on the pay for a 4 day job or a 7 day job because a facility can't get sparky out to where they are supposed to and it delays me finishing that job on time to make it to the next one.

But I have never seen or heard of a system being wired to the wrong damn main panel. I have had some other close calls as well.....electricians telling me everything is dead and then having loppers basically explode cutting those 'dead' cables. I have been hit by 230 (not fun) because sparky messed up. But damn, 480.....I want no part of that!

ya...unfortunatly there are bad electricians out there , just like bad plumbers, doctors, drywallers etc. I have been very lucky over the years in my trade....only 3 3/4 more yrs. to go till 62 (early retirement)
I would agree that there are some shotty craftsman out there. As a journeyman pipefitter I see it all the time and it is a disgrace to all of the trades. Sigh.

As a welder I have been shocked quite a few times while welding and it is no fun. No idea on how much but the welding machine was at 175 amps and my gloves were wet from sweat. Zap! That's usually makes up my mind and go home for the day lol.

There's shitty workers in every trade. I've had few bad experiences with the guys like van stank. One time I killed the power on an MRI machine. The moving guys were an hour away, turned into 24 hrs lol. I moved all their equipment outside in January. Then it snowed 6 inches on top of it. Man they was pissed, they should have been on time. Those guys were out of Chicago.

Recently while home working on my computer I get a low voltage warning alarm ?
Look out the window and see a utility worker on the pole ? So I go out and ask him
if what he is doing could causing low voltage to my house. His answer was not anymore we
just shut off the power, OK I go back inside to see I still have power and low voltage alarms
going off. ?

I ran back out to let the guy on the pole know he is working with live power because I still
have power? He says no way and refused to believe me ? Had to shut off my own main power
at the box but still wonder how they could not know ?

EDIT:
BTW these are the same utility power workers who nearly burned down our neighborhood.
While replacing a transformer on our street they did something VERY VERY VERY WRONG,
When they turned the power back on the entire street power lines BURNED off the poles
all the way down the street, Power cables hanging and burning from the poles ? Everyone on the
opposite side of the street from me had smoke coming out of there power sockets they lost
There TV's Refrigerators and anything else they had plugged in and turned on at the time.
I did not think that could even happen but there they were Scratching there heads looking up
at the now toasted new transformer. Took a week or 2 to re-run all the powerlines and have
all the house's checked before they could turn it back on
