Or rice balls! If your room is 80% and you don't have a way to lower it to 50 or 55% you are fighting a losing battle!!!! You are begging for mold. If this is your situation I would suggest paper bags and the refrigerator.
If you are reading 80% RH you need to dry that out. Get it below 70% to help prevent mold. Move to jars only when it is below 64%. You can burp it down to 60-62%.Paper bags and refrigerator for curing? I thought that was just for the drying stage
Paper bags in the fridge is for the drying stage. The cure starts when the dried buds go into the jars. The opening and closing of the lid, called "the burbing" is the real cure when the last of the chlorophyll is finally leaving the plant material. Lately some people have started to call the whole process from the beginning of the drying to be 'the cure'.Paper bags and refrigerator for curing? I thought that was just for the drying stage

Kinda like how SoG (Sea of Green) is now being used to describe a SCRoG (Screen of Green) and yet they are two different methods.
Hi thereThat was my understanding so far mate. Thanks for clarifying it. I’m currently curing. Room is 80%, not good but I have no option right now.
At this stage I’m considering cobbing the lot to retain quality.
Inside your refrigerator it is much drier than that - probably around 35% RH. Fridge dry is a great option for humid regions.Room is 80%, not good but I have no option right now.
I love it. I won’t dry any other way.Appreciate all the advice guys. Still hard to believe drying in the fridge works!
I tried finding a "drying in the jars" method while looking on-line and so far the links are to drying and then once dry putting in jars for the cure.I was attempting a method I read above. Drying in a jar, in fridge, takes 4+ weeks.
I’m at week 4, jar RH is 84%. Should I change tact? Paper bag it?
