I'm confused by the angle on that leaf. The vertex of the angle is supposed to be where the leaf connects to the stem, which seems lower than where that vertex is.
It's so hard to see where it actually connects cause of the bud being in the way, I am trying to use that connection point but Idk if it's me messing with it when I make the 90 degree angle with my finger on the app. I end up pushing the original angle line out when I hit it every time. I start out completely lined up and then it like kicks out of where I was at. I'm frustrated but I'm not crying about it...I'm sure I'll get the hang of it with more practice

I like to try and mimic would mother nature would do.

Flowers do not like rain. They blossom and dry weather only improves a rose for example. Rain destroys roses.

I've also noticed how my plants grow. Up until week 5 they drank heavy! Then they started dialing back. So I did as well. In the past, I've over watered, and the pistils will tell you you messed up. Dialing back watering amounts and extending time between has really worked for me.

It wasn't until recently I saw an article on reddit. A study from the University of Guelph I believe that's really trending right now I noticed.

Then a few days ago I joined 420 forums because reddit was getting boring. Just saw this sub today.
Hi Oliann, can you lead me to the study please? I'd love to read it!

yes, please!
It's getting nice and techie  with the e-protractor here! So awesome! Droughters rule the +thc universe!
Techie phones is different than regular Techie for me, I suck at phone technology! Bare with me!

I really want to get my buds tested so I can put some numbers on the +THC...is that something I can do in NJ?

Isn't that the study from the beginning of the thread?

Edit: Beginning was the wrong word, lol. Page 7, post 125 has the link!

You know what...it sure AF is...wonder what's got it trending??? I didn't even bother to realize what Univeristy it came out of...

Ahoy there!
So here is my take on the effect of droughting cannabis.

The slow and deliberate application of abiotic stress induced via controlled drought has beneficial effects on the quality and potency of cannabis. The purpose of this publication is to provide my best explanation why this phenomenon occurs.

During the application of drought cannabis plants will increase production of essential oils to protect the seeds it believes are in her flowers. This resin is noticeably more psychoactive than resin produced under normal circumstances. My first inclination was that during drought cannabis produced a cannabinoid yet to be identified. This remains an active theoretical component of our discussion, however this is not my focus.

My belief is that during drought the resin becomes stronger for several reasons I will identify. First during the drought, the abiotic stress is constantly applied and continuously worsening. This gives the Genetic Regulatory Network (GRN) the time to recognize the existential threat being posed by lack of water and formulate a special survival response.

This GNR network if you all don't remember is responsible for for many things in our cannabis-it is responsible for creating the leaves phenotypic plasticity and utilizes a variety of genes and proteins for regulatory purposes-making sure the plant's fitness is never compromised
This species survival is written in each strains DNA and provides instructions for the hormonal reaction that brings about the antagonization of the JA pathways producing the essential oils. Additionally, the cultivar will begin transportation of available plant resources presented in the foliar mass giving the appearance of dying discolored leaves (senescence). The leaves that are being drained of color and life are being used by the GRN to enhance species survival. The plant will take resources and nutritious energy from the dying leaf and move it (transportation) to the florescence wherein it will be used in the production of essential oils. This includes the glandular trichomes on the foliar material.
So through the morphology of the plant via the GNR network through times of extreme stress, the plant shifts its focus solely to survival of those seeds-shifting the trichomes from the leaves to the flower itself-not just increasing potency but also quantity
I have photographed the draining of these trichomes during transportation that show little to nothing remains after the process. The glands remain intact but have been emptied of essential oils.
would you be willing to share these photos with us Maritimer? I know that some people really prefer visual representations, makes it seem more real to them
The resin produced during drought will be more psychoactive essentially because it is produced under duress that I call plant adrenaline. When species survival is on the line the adrenaline is high and urgent, producing superior medicine.
This ties into protecting those seeds as you mentioned earlier-it seems as though the plant's "adrenaline" increases and as such, enhances the properties of those trichomes in an all out effort to continue to protect the "babies/seeds" it thinks it has within the buds
So, in drought the transportation of plant resources provides the adrenaline needed to produce the enhanced essential oils. The enhanced essential oil produced during drought makes for better medicine and is stonier.

Pass the love forward.

Dave
You better trademark that term "stonier".

Awesome "play by play" commentary!

As a Sox fan, the hair on the back of my neck just went up!
So funny, when I was typing I was gonna say don't get your panties in a bunch Stone!!! I had refrained but I said it after all :laugh:

GIGI DAY 5 DROUGHT: NOTES/PLANT PICS LEAF FOCUSED

So today is the 1st day I am seeing Gigi start to show what is happening. I have a couple pics below where the yellowing has begun on some leaves, naturally it's in other places as well, I just chose those 2 for examples. In addition, her pot is getting very light-the soil has lost enough moisture to now be pushing away from the edges of the pot. She is leaning more profoundly and when taking pics of her, her buds are less clear because of the glare from the increasing trichome production

Be back later with more info!

GIGI DAY 4 DROUGHT: TRICHIE SHOTS

She may be done before her drought is over

Following this, last but not least, I will attempt another shot using the angle app for our baseline leaf.

Enjoy the bundles of trichs for a few minutes!

GIGI DAY 4 DROUGHT: LWA PIC + 3 BONUS

I think I'm getting better. Tell me if I'm wrong

And just because, why not...I trimmed some popcorn larf from branches I use for cannabutter last night. I trim by myself usually so getting a few branches out of the way helps, believe me

Right there with you hell you seen my trichomes last night I'm right there with you girl I think she's going to be ready for the droughts over as well. We might be chopping the same time who knows. Hahaha
I mean hell my buds and my trichomes all of it just keeps increasing and increasing this plant has not stopped since shed had fixed my problem...
