Hey Krissi!

Looking great, but you need to make a slight adjustment for determining your LWA using the app.

Below is a good/decent photo for where you want the points on the measurement to be.

You'll notice one part follows the stem, stopping where the branch/stem for the Leaf is.
The next point is right at the petiole on the leaf.

Hope that helps. There is a slightly longer version here!
:)

Ps- just wow...gorgeous plant(s) Krissi!!
Will do Sir, thank you so much!! I'll get to that now while I have a minute!

And thank you friend!! Love her!

Hey Rexer, did I change the way I did it on the app well enough?

Sorry guys this app is new to me so we are all learning together, I used a protractor early on then went by eye. For the purposes of this thread, I downloaded this so feel free to laugh at me along the way as I learn :laughtwo:

Hey Krissi, can you post one picture without the measurements ,and I'll see if I can do one of yours to help as a guide if you'd like.

It's just tricky at first, then it'll click for you (mentally) and you'll find it super easy. I struggled at first, till I realized you can zoom in, within the app to make the measurements

This one is perfect if you still have the original :)

Edit- sorry, I was rushed when posting that message...battery was dying lol

Once you load the photo into the app. Zoom in on your selected leaf. Your bud is so much bigger than mine that it's harder for you (bud envy over here :laughtwo: ).

So you have to look right where the stem meets the leaf, and inference where it's is above that point by an inch or two.
Tap there, where the middle of the main stem is, and drag it down to where the leaf node intersects with the stem.
Then change direction to the petiole (where the leaf node meets the leaf).

Then zoom out, take your screenshot and your done!

Beautiful you are amazing!!!

So what's up with the measurements and stuff
So you ultimately want to use an angle measure for this. When the leaf angle hits 50% that is when you pull her from drought to recover. It's not about the amount of time that we focus on, rather what is called LWA which stands for Leaf Wilt Angle. If you go back I talk about leaf plasticity and all the science stuff but basically the plant tells us no more when it hits that 50% mark so we drought until thr leaves droop there. After doing it a few times you get the hang of it and I fall short of measuring myself but this is thr tool that puts this whole thing together in the end

Can I use something like this in this picture I downloaded an app and you take a picture and then it does the angles shit. But what do I do then I never do this shit before

I don't know if I did it right but I'm going to show you a picture and this is the last thing I'm going to put on here cuz I ain't going to clobber everything up. This is from an old picture I used it as a practice I have no clue if I'm even doing anything right at all. Or if I should even be taking pictures of it yet.

Absolutely my friend! Is that a protractor app?

You did a much better job at it than I did my first 7 times  yes! That is fantastic, wouldn't you agree @Rexer?!

That's an old picture so I will definitely have to get a new picture and continue to take pictures from that same picture or bud so to speak. Basically I just lined it up with the stem made sure it was straight up and down and took the angle into the tip where it meets the leaf
