TECHNICALLY, veg state is signified by the yellowing and loss of the cotyledons (the first smooth oval non serrated leaves to appear) . Anything before is considered a seedling. However much like fish.. I start counting the day it shows... I mean we don't celebrate the day our kids get their first tooth we celebrate the day they came into the world :).

If you want the grow done as soon as possible (risking lower yield), then switch to 12/12 just as soon as you see signs of pre-flower. If you are wanting yield, research the strain and see how long others veg it, and how much they harvest, then get it to the size you want. If the strain gets tall or bushy, start 12/12 sooner than normal to keep it from getting too big. It all depends on a lot of things. Hope this helps.

but if you aint in real big hurry(yeah right) I would wait till the nodes stagger. that signifies a mature plant and should give you the best yield:)

oh its almost... well its down right hard to..... shit I can't wait that ling either LOL
about a month, month and a half tops of veg for me:). the 2 or 3 weeks after you flip will amaze you with growth:)

way to much work for a scrog:)
 
Takes me about 6-8 veg weeks to achieve a modified version of mainlining ... I leave the center in a bit for a Fuller canopy. But otherwise the same.

Us too fishy...unloadies birthday! We got; bbq ribs and chicken, and lots of salads and goodies! I have a huge ass ice chest I am so proud of, it's sooooo big that we'll load it in the pickup, back up under unloadies awning and just leave it in there for the event!
