Dr.Seeds Prescribes The Widow & The Alien ️️

lol, no shit. I was waiting for someone to comment on it. I just finished the fence as I tend to lose interest in projects when they take a lot of my time and energy :)
So, the deck will be stained soon. It normally gets done every two years, but I get older every two years and it gets harder, so I waited three years. Good news is I get free rollers and brushes!

That deck looks like it could use a bit of a refurb. I'd call @BeezLuiz as he's in the refurb business at the moment.
Wow, that didn't take long. LOL. My deck is also due for it's 3-year refurb. I built it 30 years ago and it's still standing so I guess it's worth the effort.

Hey everybody!

it's 4/20 and time to start my outdoor grow.
Yay, another outdoor grow! :) Not sure how I missed this until now, but better late than never. Back to page 1 to catch up.

My oh my that sounds good. My MB machine shows up on Monday or Tuesday so I've been eager to try some recipes with it. I'll be hitting you up for the BBB's recipe since my wife loves Banana Bread!
First I have to learn how to use the machine ;)

Cool ... We love banana bread here too! My girlfriend has plans on making magic butter ... and I want to surprise everyone with magic fudge ... if I can find a good recipe!

Hey Beez, thanks for dropping by. I'll get over to yours now that Shed has brought it to my attention :) Good luck on the repairs. The summer's been hot here since the terrible spring we had so getting outside to work is trying. I find it much easier to sit on the deck and fire off the blunts for the day. I have an awesome NA native red glow to me right now, which is also a sign of not getting much done.

Hey @MrSauga ... I'm finally popping in to read through your journal before I have to go pick up the family in an hour ... I think I can make it :)

Alright ... let's see how these Dr. Seeds strains are playing out ...

:surf:
Hi SQL, and welcome! With the exception of some duds with the White Tahoe Cookies I have been happy with their strains that I am running so far. I have two more on the go which are also doing fine.

A couple of people come to mind... @Dutchman1990 @Virgin ground and I think @Preston9mm does a lot of gummies. Somebody around here will lead you in the right direction for your fudge recipe.

Day 0 Update

Hey everybody!

I might as well show you how I plant my seeds. Everyone has their own style and this is what works for me. First I have a cup of water and add 1/2 tbsp H2O2. I used plastic solo cups for this drop and I'm not sure why. The post above explained the problem I had encountered.
Anyhow, second time around, in a glass jar, and the bean sprouted within 24 hours ready for planting. I go straight from water to soil as long as I have 1/4" tap or more exposed.
This first pic shows the seed that I had to kill and the new seed that was dropped right after I killed her sister. It has a chunky tap, which you will see later as well.

I have a wooden dowel, 5/16" diameter, although a 1/4" one will do just fine. I make a mark on this dowel 5/8" from one end and insert it into the soil until the mark is reached. I rotate it gently to smoothen the wall of dirt around the dowel to give a nice clean home then remove it.

I soak a small piece of paper towel so when I remove the seed from the water I have a place to drop it and orientate it correctly before placing in the soil. I try and get the tap root pointing up as best I can. If I miss, then I miss. I don't go playing around with it once it's in it's home.
I lightly cover the seed, pack gently and wait.

So there you have it. I hope to have something come out tomorrow or the next day.

Very nice write up. I've never used H2O2 ... but I will try it next time.

In the past I've been using a bit of Great White ... or ... a combination of Advanced Nutrients Root Mass Expanders.

I was just eyeing the chocolate fudge recipe on the Magical butter site. These guys had pro chefs put these recipes together. Looks absolutely delish. I also want to make their peppermint fudge and Sensual chocolate.... Oh, and their nutella recipe.

Hey SQL,
I scrapped the H2O2. I just use straight deionized water now. I would steer away from it and go with distilled only. I couldn't delete that info. It was a tip I tried and later didn't lke it.

Weather is heating up here as well, so I'm only lasting until early afternoon before I need to sit on my deck with one of my pipes filled with one of my harvests. Hopefully your glow is from the blunt and not from too much sun. :passitleft:

Day 89 Update

Hey everybody!
Just some pics here, but first I just want to say, what a lovely shade of green these girls are showing;)

The girls should be showing some pistils within a week or two. They are doing well, even with the last feeding which put my PPM at 1185 and the EC at 2.5. I'm not sure why it went so high but I screwed up somewhere. I'll have to pay closer to attention to detail, but man that shade of green really distracts me.

:Rasta:

Vibrant! Loving the sunlight they are getting.

Gummies!! These photos are from a batch I made a couple of months ago, using @Preston9mm and @Dutchman1990's recipes. They turn out really well. I have tweaked a little (reduced the gelatin a bit, and use a double boiler for better temp control). More important, the last batch I made used my homegrown Purple Kush - don't have pictures, but used grape Jello in keeping with the purple theme. They pack quite a kick! A couple of gummies neither Mrs. Bard nor I are moving from the couch. Perfect for the long weekend. Now craving fudge. :)

Bon appetite!

An ultra simple infused chocolate recipe that works is:

Get a pyrex glass dish and make a double boiler setup on low heat add;

-1/3C infused oil (coco or evoo)
- top with 2-3C of your fav chocolate chips

Melt slowly until thoroughly infused and pour into your mould’s. Keep in fridge until set and store in a cool place!

I add walnuts to mine for that extra wow factor lol!!

Alright ... Thanks so much for finding that ... and I will look that up this week sometime.

OMG ... Nutella ... I love that on toast!
