Dr.Seeds Prescribes The Widow & The Alien ️️

I meant to say nice canopy too.....

I never flush and have a min of runoff to none; if I get runoff I cut back on water.

When you say you havnt flushed them.

Do you normally flush during your grows?

I believe that MrS is referring to a conversation in my thread a few weeks back where I ran 2-3x the pot size of plain water through my plants to clear the old nutes and salt ions from the substrate, to reset the root uptake.

Of course, the last gallons were full-strength nutes. The discussion starts at the bottom of this post.

The flowering plants really seemed to like it as they started pushing out new pistils within a couple of days.

Is that with long veg times? I seem to be able to get away with never flushing but I veg for a lot less time than some of yours.

But no @Dutchman1990 I do not. I don't recall ever doing it unless it was for laziness when I was short on time. It wasn't a flush as much as it was straight water feeding.

10/4 !!

Ahh I see ! Noted!

I've never done it before but based on my conversation with my buddy at ProMix and Emilya mentioning it more than once I thought I would give it a go. It would be a pain in the ass to do indoors except in a bathtub though!

Yes, I am thinking also that it would be a pain so unless it had considerable benefits I can't see it worth it to me.

My precious NL seed from Sensi I am planning to make seeds from has been in water for almost 24 hrs and has not sprouted or even split. I guess I will leave it in water till it splits? I am worried because usually they all at least split by now.

One other question Sauga!!

With MC do you evercreduce your nutes come close to harvest or once you find your max you finish off at that level?
I'm full out til the end. I do not let up. I just read a bit today about letting the plant dry out to produce more terps and trichs over at Shed's place so I may try that. I'm watching to see if he notices much difference.

How cold is the water? I find when the AC is on the cooler water is slower to start seeds. Warmer water seems to work best for me.

I’ve read that if you leave them in water for more then 48 hours they can drown? I don’t know from experience, just thought I’d share what I read. I think most people move to a wet paper towel, even if it hasn’t split yet.

Good point HH!

here ya go Dutchie re letting the plant dry out. It's to increase terps.

and here

I read the thesis of the first person in Canada to get a Ph.D. in growing cannabis and one of his conclusions was that having a mini drought in the final weeks does make more resin if memory serves.

I have read they drown too which is a concern so if it doesn't split I will put it in a wet towel soon. Thanks.

It is probably around 78F which is how warm I keep the house. Good point though, I have read little ones like heat too.

I didn't know about the drowning, but it never went that long for me. Good to know @Heavenly Hybrid
:thanks:
Now that I think of it, I did drown one once. I didn’t think the seeds were viable because they were harvested early. Sure enough one sprouted, but I wasn’t paying attention. By the time I saw the tap root, it was too late. :rip:
