Dos-Si-Dos & Wedding Cake ala Dope Seeds

Highya SO,

Stormy day here today. Going to be cold after the blow. Got a story for ya - Years ago I was given a very small amount of cannabis and it was seriously the best. I pondered if it was laced with something. Never knew. So, this summer I grew 2 different strains mostly. The A13 has cured for 3 months, and will rival any topshelf home stash. I can't believe it's still curing for more buzz, I guess! I attribute the quality of the buzz to the weekly application of the microbe solution! Magical!! Oh, and the Mobsta was the other strain, and it's very nice as well!! Happy Smokin'

Hey Bode :ciao: Stay warm! It's nice now but it's going down here tonight. Going to be -- 17 with the wind.

Man, you grew some shizz this summer! So the weekly application of the microbe solution. Did you spray some and water some in? Were you able to figure out a schedule?

I have to say I wasn't happy with the taste of my outdoor grow this year. I think it was the bt sprayed in flower. I have to stop that.

BLACK SKULL WEDDING CAKE---------DOS-SI-DOS ALA @Dope-Seeds UPDATE

The ladies are cruising! The front Dosi is having what seems like full coats of pistils recede and fully grow back over a couple of hours! They are booming!
Front Dosi

Her sister Dosi is the frostiest plant I've had and keeps growing up! She just won't stop! Now her nugs are starting to fill in too.
Here's how they differ. Same plant.
And I have good news from yesterday! The root pruning seems to have taken on bonsai stankberry. Proof of life.
Have a great and safe Weekend!

Love the spears on the DSDs! Must smell amazing in there. :)

I guess she'll "slow" for a bit after this?
I cut off a lot more on my mothers than Otter does and they never slow down at all. Because they're thinned on top and below at the same time, the tops seem to sprout new growth within a week. You can see how much I take off in my most recent thinning post halfway down here.

I had no doubt!

BONSAI MOTHER MAINTENANCE UPDATE

Happy Friday everyone! Lady Bonsai has some attention yesterday. She was getting hard to please so I'm trying some new soil.
That means a trim of her biomass, as she's going to have less root to feed herself with.
When I pulled her out I found I didn't poke soil all around her well enough. See the hole in her side?
Then 3/4 of an inch off the bottom and a half inch off each side.
And done! I'll lay soome @GeoFlora Nutrients veg bits all on top soon.
Keep it going Y'all, in a safe way!
I saw some beauties right there. Great work, friend. Keep it up!

Whew, I always have doubt. Maybe i'm a worrier. Mine is less than half the size of the one you pictured, which is a beautiful example. I think my small pot size freaks me out some.

You did see the corpse I keep as a reminder to be thoughtful? I've zigged when zagging would have been better doing this once. I'm twice shy now.

Is the idea to cut back for the small pot.. in order to be a Bonsai? Does she always pretty up after reveg?

Hey Stinker, it's to keep the plant small forever. I have no place for anymore tents so she stays on the floor in the corner of the grow area. She has to stay small to keep smell down too.

Pretty is a relative term in this case I think. She will get better looking leaves and grow strong enough.

The nature of taking cuttings all the time is putting me to school. If I don't do it thoughtfully the plant will go in directions I don't want. I find it a challenge keeping on top of that. It's(we're) a work in progress. :bongrip:

The idea is to remove spent soil and replace with fresh. Since there's no room to expand, it needs root pruning and into the same pot with the new soil. That's what I gather anyway.

Do you eventually flower the wayward bonsai? Replace it with another clone-Mother later? The Bonsai would make a "wild" grow.

This is the first for me. She will need tons of pruning to get in any kind of flowering shape. I may in a small way when I'm done with her. Maybe a few colas for old times sake. I'll be done with her and go onto someone else one day. She's provided me with lots of what I want but there will come a day for change. Maybe.

Wow, aren't you cruising! Those DSDs look AMAZING. Excellent work. Now that you can see the DSD buds clearly it seems to my eye, based on comparing yours to what I had, that you got an indica and a sativa pheno. The back one definitely looks sativa, the front might be a hybrid pheno. But what a difference!!! Wait til you experience the difference in taste! For me the indica pheno came out sweeter and more citrusy, whereas the sativa one was more dank and spicy. And that recede - come back - recede pistil thing? I saw that too on almost all my autos. It seems like they have multiple gears when they're fattening up, and just when you think you've seen the last shower of pistils you suddenly get another popping out, and you're like, "awexsome, FATTER!!!" Way to go Otter.

A shower of pistols is a good way to say it! They all do it but I can't say I've seen it like this one before! One shower after another! I can't wait to visit every morning and see what happened!

So different tastes huh? Nice! They have another 30 days I'm thinking min. maybe 40.

That's why, I *think*, the DSDs get so dense. Those showers for me were like four times. It was crazy. I don't know about 30 or 40 days, brother. Maybe, but they look a little further along than that to me. What day is this? I'd be thinking mid-70s to mid-80s. At least that's when mine were done. Note: the sativa pheno (I always say "for me") took significantly longer than the indica in both cases. The indica pheno was done almost 10 days sooner. Doesn't mean it'll be that way for you, but might wanna be aware of one person's experience with a similar situation.

It was day 30 from flip so there's lots of time left. Remember they are photos.
