Doc Bud's High Brix - Strawberry Cough - Pineapple Express

sweet, I will do that then. Should have all the bits in a few weeks so I should be able to have a couple of plant batches of doing it high brix this season and if my plants come out an 1/4 as good as yours have been I'm gonna be very happy chappy. Thanks again for sharing with us all.

If your environment is in check, and you copy me, your plants will turn out like mine.

But, if your environment is all over the map it won't be the same. It's just that simple.

very valid point, I'm growing on my balcony so don't have the control you do... Today it was between 80-86 and 48 to 54% humidity which is about on the money right?

cheers

Nice! please share with us how things go.
First thing I noticed, is the auto....she in full bloom (just starting) and...the bud's doubled in size over night, the rest have grown some, they're in pre-flower, the leafs are a nice dark green. I'll post some after pic's in a little while;)...I love the edit button...here are pics of the La Musa before and after the top dressing, and a good dose of a nice frothy brew :D

hi doc, just stumbled across your journal after reading a post icemud made in the plant or nug of the month thread.. i've been intrigued by this high brix concept, but having a hard time finding info on it, specifically in our area of interest.

gonna start reading this at the beginning, but do you have any other recommended reading i should look at? =]

As far as I know, High Brix Cannabis growing is happening right here, right now. Me, Ice Vape, MSquared, and a few others doing along the same lines......We're tomorrow's legends today! (totally kidding)

I get all my information by reading about everything but Cannabis. Cannabis is a plant, like any other. Learn to grow plants and you can grow Cannabis.

I finally figured out the Zen of growing on a personal level the other day:

It's like sailing, and if you do it right you contol the weather as well as the boat. If you've never sailed, it looks more complicated than it actually is. Once you understand the principles of sailing and have experience with different rigs and boats, you can sail any boat.

So, try to read things about container growing, soils, organic gardening....there's so much info on the web. You could start with High Brix Gardens to get the basics and go from there.

yes...that's pretty good. But then there's photoperiod, nightime temps and ambient lights.

High Brix works better in very large containers.....so if I were you I'd grow in 15 gallons or more.

well the last two night its been 73-74, the ones I have in veg stay on the balcony, they get 16hrs of sun and I live in the middle of nowhere so unless its a full moon and clear skies, there's no ambient light. For the ladies in flower I move them to a spare room at 21:00 and back out on the balcony again for 09:00. I was kinder hoping I could get away with 5-7 gallons as I have to move them, if I was to top dress with the rock powders every 4-6 weeks would that help?

cheers dude

Hey Doc, thanks for bringing brix to cannabis. When I can see a noticeable difference in 2 days just adding the dressing, makes me want to change my other grow. The plants look so happy and healthy (they looked good before but now...wow). The look of the plant is much happier than what I have had in hydro. I have noticed that they aren't as "limp" when I peek in while lights are off too. So again like many others have said...Thanks bro!!:thumb:

Yes! Thank you so much for showing us this method, I have never seen these things grow so fast and look so incredible. Sure is good to know a someone like you doc :D and I'm looking forward to smoking some killer weed :high-five:

And of course I have another question for you. When you make your tea do you make just enough to use straight away or do you make enough to store some? If you store it how do you store it? If I keep any for longer than, I don't know 3 days or so it starts to smell funky even with an airstone in there or if I dilute it further in the bucket. So far my only answer is make smaller batches.

Made some brownies on Friday, I had made oil out of about a pound of trim, shake, and 2 pulled male plants, it was sitting there for about a month and I got tired of looking at it so I put a brick of butter and covered it with boiling water, simmered on the stove for 15 minutes and put the whole lot in a plastic container in the refrigerator to cool and separate. Drained off the water and put all that budder(super dark green almost no flavour) into a brownie mix and then an 8"x8" tray. Man I had two little squares about an hour ago and don't think I can move away from this screen now, hehehehe. Have re-edited what I wrote above like 10 times now. AWESOME! Oh man I should have taken some photos. Anyone want a brownie?

I've stored tea in the fridge for a few days, but mostly I try to make what I'm going to use because you don't want it to go bad. When it stinks, it's time to throw it out.

Hey doc, I think I may have asked this before, so I apologize if I already have asked...

What is your feeding regiment in flowering... are you doing tea and something else, or just teas?

simply beautiful, and so pristine looking, bet they smell divine!:bravo:

:thanks:

As of right now, I've fed various combinations of the following:

1.)straight RO
2.)microbial tea....no nutes
3.)microbial tea with rock n Chicken'
3.)top dressing of rock powders

That's all!

I haven't used molasses yet. No fishy ferts yet. Probably won't need them.

I have diluted the tea mix quite a bit since the last go 'round.

Re: Doc Bud's High Brix: Strawberry Cough, Pineapple Express

I've heard of that stuff! Just make sure you also get some Soft Rock Phosphate. That one is the most important.

Got the SRP and started spreading on the Strawberries

:thankyou::thankyou:

Loving the look of your buds!!
