Thanks aruu. I was thinking it should be enough but you know when they say equivalent to 1000 hps, it could just be fodder. I knew Doc would know if I needed to supplement.

Here's what I'm doing today. This is a lower top cola and resembles a bunch of grapes to the naked eye. This is how I wash them, then, since I grow for me, I may or may not trim them after 5 days on the rack. Look closely and tell me what you'd trim...

Fingernails. I'd trim them.

BTW, that's how all weed should be sold. Leaves intact, buds on the stem. We can tell what the history of that plant was if we can see all that.

I'll never understand why people freak out when I don't trim all the sugar leaves. It's for me. I'm giving it to you for free. It's better than any weed you'll ever buy. Why are you complaining? I smoke in a bong. I love the sugar leaves on the bud. more to smoke.

Hey High Brix crew!

So Im on Day 3 of flower on my first HB grow and after seeing some things on here regarding defoliation or pruning before flower.

I guess my question is how much to take off before flip. With my girls I stripped and flipped like I normally do but I think I might of seen a few things on here saying not to take off as much?


These are my girls right now, they are looking good but maybe not taking off as much before flower could they have been better?

I think you'll be fine. I usually give a stern pruning pre-flip, then a cleanup around the 3 week mark (about same time as cat drench window). This round I didn't prune as much and the lowers are simply lacking from light starvation. Yours look good though. I wouldn't be concerned. Just remember what you see and next round you can tweak something to see the impact.

Mid to late flower I'd be reluctant to do any heavy pruning, but a good cleanup that not only allows the lower radial branches to grow, but also spreads the top canopy out to allow more light deeper into the center is the way to go IMO.

Thanks for the reply Govt! I seem to be right on schedule then I appreciate the help! Im trying not to ask too much and figure out the feel of HB for myself, but a few questions never hurt no one
