Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Hey Doc. Quick question. I know you demoed the advanced DS XML 650. Will it be enough in my 4x4 to grow big plants like I did with my 1000 watts of hps? Or do you think I will need to supplement?

You gonna need to supplement! Just kidding, that thing looks like it will do work. Do you already have it?
 
New to growing and just trying to figure out if everything is going good so far? Any pointers tips anything helps thanks!! I will be posting through the whole period Wether it lives or dies


OK here's the run down


I'm growing indoors

150w grow light

I think it's a 1 gallon pot? Idk though

Regular bagged potting soil

That is a route growing out of the bottom of the pot does that mean it's time for transplant? I just wanna grow my own bud, help a new grower out!

Hey gang, worked all day out in Nor' Easter Stella, what a storm. No foam yet, but got all the ladies up off the floor. Also installed 10,000 watts of lighting in my small space. See photo. Need shade 10 welding shield just to not go blind.

Lol... just jokin..couldn't resist...the photo is overexposed and looks like I have a nuclear reactor for a light...:rofl:

HEADBAND OG seemed to perk up after getting off the floor for 6 hours!

Also Roots popped on a clone in the aero cloner. Interestingly this is the one clone in the aero unit that I sprayed every other day with 1/2 destress, nothing else! Very cool indeed!

Hey there 2tru, my guess is your gonna get few guy letting you know that this thread is high brix thread and that your questions will be better answered in another place. Myself will say your little seedling looks good and that you should really read this thread from page one and the maybe skip around and see if you would like to convert over to the DBHBB kit and leave that bag soil for the some veggies or just toss it in the flower bed. Either way, if you look around you'll see some amazing flowers and soon you will want to come to the green side as I did and oh so many have! Take care and happy growing!!

That's got weeks to go before transplant. Like 2 weeks. Please don't do it now.....but it's a great pic to show that roots are longer than seedlings at the beginning

Hi tru2! Welcome to the 420 mag! You should definitely consider switching to Doc Buds kit soil, great results and super easy. As for getting help, I'd suggest starting your own journal (see thread on how to start journal and include as many details and pics as possible) and posting a link to that journal in your signature. Then get around to a few other journals to introduce yourself and that will draw people to your journal. It worked well for me, I'd be lost without all the great people here and I switched to Doc's kit after only 1 regular soil/nute grow, so happy I did! Your seedling looks good.

Do you have a burner or use bottles for co2? I've been wanting to get a burner but don't want to raise the Temps too much that the ac has to run constantly. So in a 13' x 12' room, how much would it raise the Temps roughly? Thinking about a 2 or 4 burner. Thanks.

I have a four burner. Runs for about 3 minutes every 3 hours to keep ppm about 1000. Seal the room during the day, vent it during the night. I find the temperature issues to be insignificant, as the burner goes right when the lights come on and the room is cool.

Sorry man! Your post got lost on the last page. If it's the same light I'm using, it's a very worthy substitute and a slight improvement over 1000 watt HPS. I use two of them over a 3x6 tray....overkill. If you're not using Co2, the single light will be perfect.

Oh it'll be big enough. Doc runs 2 over a 3x6 tray. I'm running 6 total in a 10 x 10 room. Those lights you will love, late bloom girth is crazy!
