Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Hey Doc, I'd like to order a kit, please PM me the info.

Hey you...Bandm, wat you doin....youve found us! A big warm welcome to ya !:welcome::high-five:
Dunno your story but ya just won the lotto , in wanting a "Kit". There is a staggering amount of success right here on the mag using it. May i suggest visiting some of the other DBHBB journals. We are all proud of our group around these parts and only ask that new members keep their ego in their pocket, enter our journals with a smile and good attitude , and i promise, ya won't wanna leave. These growers here are very genuine with much integrity and will NOT hesitate to offer up fantastic advise , tips and a few laughs.......well maybe more than a few!:cheesygrinsmiley: Doc Bud is "on point" and makes sure everyone using his gear is smilin. Cheers to ya Bandm....welcome aboard............:circle-of-love::bravo::welcome::420:

Speaking of pots. I know it's always best to go as big as space allows, and u mention using 7 gal. But do u think there is a size container too small for this method??

chinaloa, what would you like to do? small pots work, bigger pots work easier.. ;)

I'd say you have at least another 10 days, because I see white pistils.

Don't pay attention to trichome colors. I can't get mine to amber and many other high brix growers can't either. Look to the physical signs of the plant:

No new pistils
calyx swelling
plant starts using less water.

Your harvest window opens when the above 3 factors are in place.

He's right you know.

Have you had any issues with honey clogging up your mister? I'll have fresh honey next year and I'm very interested if it adds any benefit.

Sent from this funny device I carry around and still call a phone even though I hardly ever make calls with it.

i dissolved the honey in the water i used to for the foliar.

i haven't really used honey much before with my plants. was used as an alternative to the dextrose Doc suggested i use.

its suggested kit users use/learn the kit several times before experimenting. :)

I guess that's why I never really shared info because there's always a backlash for everything I say. Even though I've been growing well over 20 years. And never had a brick reading lower than 12.

Well, you just show up and try to show us up. Some here have been using Docs kit for a long time and grow magnificent cannabis. Mine is second to none and I've tried all over Denver. Several others agree. You said you were new to the internet but have been in this forum before and received negative backlash? That does not make sense my friend. We (the gang) have been sharing our information openly here for a long time. If you have information, why wouldn't you share it? Its not a competition here bro. We have our methods, techniques, ideas, etc but when it comes down to it, we trust the product Doc sells and id I'd say 98% of kit users would agree. Doc had another high brix formula before the kit and apparently it worked as well. We know this because he shared his information. We dont need ego trips here bro. If you want a kit, get one. Doc will sell you one but dont come here trying to show us or teach us theres another way to get high brix cannabis...we already know this. Now you can get a kit and learn from us or not! But like Duggan tells everyone...keep your ego at the door sir.

Ziggs,...Yes, this is a very good suggestion, better than good, should be part of the instructions. One must see what each "kit" ingredient does to the soil and the plant...and this takes multiple runs. Myself, i've only made a little dent in it....i'm still learning lots,...little things along the way ,that all add up, and i like that. Have a great night Ziggs, Doc and gang!:high-five:

Yes sir. Iam new here still. My first time here was last year. Like I said it wasn't a very warm welcome trying to share information. That was for a very short period of time. So, here I am again. Is it not okay for someone to have an opinion other than you so? I don't have an ego just sharing my opinion and thoughts. I'm sure if I told you if I been eating high brix Foods since I was a kid you would have something to say... even though that is a true statement. God bless.

Sooooo this is why I will never grow any other way. This is 3 hours after giving it a good drench of growth energy. Are you kidding me with these leaves? What are they reaching for?

Perfect in every way, aruu :bravo:

Did you top that aruu?

Yep, I think about 3 days ago now. Her new tops are just peaking through. Next is to slow down the new tops so the bottom cannopy can catch up, then 1 more last mowing of the tops. I'm estimating another 3-5 weeks-ish :thumb: I've never actually done anything perpetual before so i'm not sure how long this will really take, will adjust when I find out.

Stick around. Lots of people come in with a crash and thunder then leave. I believe you have some good experience and that we can all share that. But like in any late night bonfire come in and sit awhile and see what it's about. Listen to the stories of the elders around the fire and help bring wood. Soon you will find people seek out the knowledge of the new person around the fire. Try the kit with good intentions and have that baseline to expound upon.

Imagine you were Docbud and worked painstakingly to create this system as it pertains to cannabis. Every now and then peeps come in and sit down at the fire and start talking, they don't wait to listen first. They haven't read the threads on docs methods. Around that fire The elders are deserving of respect. Many come with loud voices but the people that earn respect show their grows and let us follow along in their journal. We see their methods and ask questions out of curiosity and appreciation. They gain respect and earn their place at the fire, even if their methods differ. They chuckle with us as a new persons steps to the fire and begins exposing their new methods without sitting and listening first.

So stay, start a journal. Show us your grow. Then speak with authority because you have proven your mettle and we know it's not just someone coming to challenge and cause strife. This is a knowledgeable and caring group. I came in last year and showed my stuff. Now no one can shut me up. I look forward to learning what you have to offer. But this Docbud system. It's deserving of your full attention. It grows some amazing cannabis. Not saying you don't of course. But give it a shot.

Thanks Zig. Yea I understand bigger pots make life easier but with the space that I currently have available I think I'll have to stay on the smaller side. The little tent I have dedicated to exploring this wonderful world of soil is 3'x3'x about 5' tall. I have been running 12 2 gal fabric pots and am happy with what I'm knocking down, especially since the quality has soared. I was thinking of just making these 2 gal fabric pots taller( to 4 or 5gal).

Eloquent words, Shig...I am just now entering my 3rd year with Doc's methods....I don't talk much but research a lot...have been called out by other growers with the quality of my product in a medical state...am so used to high quality, I don't know how low quality most of the world produces....I agree you should sit around the fire for a spell and lean in....Doc and his community has made me feel welcome even without a journal, and made it okay to watch and listen, and welcome my meager contributions......take the chance, for sure....

This is why I went with the 3-4 year pots. They are thinner than the rootpouch premiums but still strong. You can't go with coco pots as they contain tons of potassium and potassium will ruin high brix purposed soil.
Hmmm yep coco coir is naturally rich in potassium, but as most of it is tied up to lignin, and also usually what you get is pre-treated: rinsed, clened, soaked, I doubt the breakdown time is quick enough to make a difference in indoor grows. If potassium is not strongly soluble, then adjusting the medium with more soluble calcium/magnesium will do the job anyway.

Aruu, now that you've seen what can happen, dont get too overzealous with the ingredients bro, that's my #1 piece of advice. I know its beautiful to see how the plant explodes with growth after a good drench but that water in between is a crucial step in keeping the soil happy. I call the plant itself "that stuff above the SOIL" Our main focus is on the soil so start trying to focus on that and what it needs to keep the lil buggers in it, happy. Microbes, minerals and the stuff above the soil is the magic. Follow the directions, dont stray, dont do what the rest of us might do with the ingredients. A lot of us here have 2 or more runs through our batch of soil and know what works best for it. You have brand new dirt and it cant handle being "overzealous". Keep reading and following grows and you'll be just as successful as we are.
