Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I'm pretty new to this web stuff I'm old school lol. My mom and dad are retired botanist and agriculturist. So blame them lol. Soil is around 4-7-1 usually. For cation level I have to get creative. I'm new to the internet so forgive me.

So your phosphorus levels are 7 times higher than your potassium levels? What method of testing are you using? Weak acid, strong acid?

Also, I'm not familiar with" cation level." Could you please enlighten?

Good Morning High Brixers,

A couple pictures from my garden. I am debating on harvesting soon and would like professional opinions. These are two different strains....at day 53 of flowering.

Thanks!, happy brixing.

Actually now that I think about it I did try and share my photos and information under an old name. It wasn't a very warm welcome. Just search triangle kush x Dr grinspoon you'll find it.

To summarize the answers to my pot question:

Fabric pots work great and shiggity gave us a cost effective brand which he has had personal success with.

Doc uses traditional plastic pots, round in bloom but only because they are cheaper (and likely easier to find locally) and judging from the pictures he just posted, the success rate is as good as any fabric pot.

So it boils down to grow setup, preference, availability, and cost.

I'd say you have at least another 10 days, because I see white pistils.

Don't pay attention to trichome colors. I can't get mine to amber and many other high brix growers can't either. Look to the physical signs of the plant:

No new pistils
calyx swelling
plant starts using less water.

Your harvest window opens when the above 3 factors are in place.

if you don't pay attention to the trichomes you will lose potency. I just had some samples tested for Amber trichomes and buds from cloudy to milky. The Cloudy and milky have more potency hands down. The trichomes is what gets the job done for what we need nothing else.

I guess that's why I never really shared info because there's always a backlash for everything I say. Even though I've been growing well over 20 years. And never had a brick reading lower than 12.

Thanks Doc. This patience thing is killing me. Hopefully it improves when my perpetual garden is underway.
