Your correct China. Use Promix HP or Bx, and add extra perlite if you use the BX. The HP version means High Porosiity and has more Perlite in it .

Out here in mountain view ca at the comedy jam. Sitting around a bunch of pot heads. Docs kit came up in conversation. Someone ask "why doesn't Doc sell pre cooked soil". Could you do that? That sounds like a good idea!? Much love.

I looked into it and the best I could come up with is to sell batches locally. The mixing/bagging machine is mucho dinero. Storage is an issue. It's something to look forward to in the future perhaps.

However, the best use of this tech is for people to amend the soils on their own property. This is the most sustainable and sensible approach. Of course, those that don't have yards or sources of dirt can easily jump to the front of the class with a commercial product like Promix.

It takes 2-3 years to get native soil dialed in, and 2-3 soil tests to boot.

anyone not being able to find promix hp, the azon has it for 57.50 incl shipping
it costs me 42 at the hydro store + 4 gal ($12) of gas to get there.

while looking up the price of the hp at the stores website, I also came across this for gnat control
anyone ever heard of it or use it?

Grabbed a bag of that gnat gnix once and it definitely did what it was supposed to. Nowadays I've been using straw as mulch and haven't had any gnat problems.

Doc said he got mites from some clones, not the bloodmeal

I know from experience that as soon as you add stuff like Bone Meal, Blood meal, Bat shit and things of that nature ...the bugs come...it's just how it is bud...that stuff attracts them, all kinds . Up to you though ....you might get lucky...you might not! I like using DBHBB soil just as it is...and like you...no bugs since switching to it almost 4 yrs. ago . Cheers pal...have a great Sunday!:Namaste::high-five:
