Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

The roots get traumatized during Docs' transplanting procedure, scoring root ball, etc..takes a little time before they are groovin' again with bigger pot, etc..
The roots can get 'cooked' if too frequent, too strong,( or both) of foliar sprays are used..less is more, sometimes. ;)

amazing stuff, the Kits ingredients...

controlling when things flower and how long and strong??? have a deck full of spring/early summer flowers still..petunias, hydrangeas, all blooming like its June!

thats amazing control...

Yep TOOBZ...
I did the same thing with the destress sprays.
Brown spot here and there on a couple of fans.
That slowed my roll for sure.:bitingnails: Especially with the Sun out here.

I'm going through the same thing I spayed them a little to much with destress, they looked pretty bad. Since then I've stopped the destress and just let them be like duggs said. A week later and there's lots of new growth and they look a lot better.

So a new plant was transplanted from solo to 1 gal, solo was dry, scored roots, dusted with roots, and finally soaked with trans and some tea. The exact method was used for a plant a week ago with great results. What would have stunted the second plant, like possible root damage? Seems like I can just start to see some yellowing just inside the leaves, hard to get a photo of compared to my eye.

This is a small plant, just a few sets of 5. Is there a root rescue for a plant that young, if this is indeed root damage that I have caused?

It's really easy to damage a small plant like that. W'hen I Transplant, my root balls are super tough and the stems are rigid, like you've seen. It's one reason I don't recommend solo's.

Rescue drench! You won't need much.

Gaffle, as Doc said , he doesn't recommend solo cups. When growers use them and go by his method of scoring the root ball at up pot Doc does that with much bigger one gallon pots that, like he said , have a much stronger fibrous root mass. The lil solo cup's roots...i wouldn't score those at all coming out of those little cups,...let them be and they will spread out , all on their own. cheers .

I have to disagree, I do it all the time and have wonderful plants every time. There have to be other factors limiting the potential, not solo cups and root scoring out of solos. Sorry, I have proof it works

Sure it works. Especially if you know how to handle them. It's up to the grower. I just find I grow better roots by avoiding them, but I grew plenty of resinous flowers with solo cups in the mix from time to time.

I have a question for you guys. I am growing out a Green Crack plant. To my knowledge it is NOT an auto. I bought it from a vendor and am pretty sure I didn't order an auto. Now my lights in the veg tent are on when I get home at night, I check everything in there and then when I wake up in the morning they are still on. I usually check them at night and in the morning. Mechanical timer with no issues. But for some reason this plant is budding on 18 hours of light. It does appear to be only on shaded areas, but it's definitely budding. Anyone have experience with this?

If it's a young vegging plant and it's blooming on an 18 hour day, then some ruderalis pollen got loose somewhere.

I thought about it and I've never seen a youngster do that. Older ones can do it, but not the younguns - not to my knowledge.

KC Brains has a strain that's a lot like an auto, and I don't think it has any ruderalis ... :hmmmm: Relaxed Lester runs it. KC45?

Shouldn't be an ruderalis pollen in sight, I can't grow autos to save my life. It was planted 6/27 so it is pretty old for a vegging plant. Guess I maybe kept it in the one gallon a bit too long (just transplanted today). Guess I will toss it in flower in a few days and see what happens.

They might've mixed up the order, it happens.

I could definitely understand that, but the plant should be finished if that's the case. The buds are small, I think it's just a funky regular plant.

I have a pineapple fields clone one month old that has started to do that in veg being no more than two feet off center. It was shaded by a taller plant. It has started tightening nodes and throwing pistils. I think some plants are perpetually on the verge of flowering and will kick over if given the chance. Twister will do that to me sometimes.

I think this is the case. Ready to flower and the buds that were shaded decided to go ahead and do so. I am going to grow it out and see how it goes. Might be one for the cull.

I'd not heard of photos going into full bloom under 18/6 until this week. Now, all of a sudden, there are three growers on :420: seeing this happen!

I am dumbfounded. Thought maybe my timer messed up, but it's an Intermatic mechanical timer and the time isn't off at all. I saw what I thought was budding but chalked it up to weird growth. The plant has had decent light, started with two Mars 300s and just got bumped up to 3, and it's in a tent that I would never describe as crowded. Also not seeing any weird leaves like it's revegging, so I honestly am stumped.

Genetics are out of control these days and not many are putting in the time to stabilize much of anything anymore plus strains are being created from crosses of crosses of crosses and so on... You never know what your going to get with most of these and sometimes old recessed genes come through.
