Good morning HighBrixers

Strain is Berry OG

Week 5 of flower 11on 13off

Another 5 weeks left

Under LED lighting

Add Epsom 1tbs. per gal 2 times in a row then once without repeat

Follow kit directions pretty much to a T

My Brix foliar also gets WA10x added

And 1/8 cup blood meal at transplant mixed in and then 3-4 weeks after that top dress again with blood meal


I did veg for about 2weeks in my 7gal pots before I put her into flower

I know she will finish strong, I have grown this cut out before and it does fine

I just want to try and get it better for the next time

So even if you think I should do something diff before flower

Right now it is only on maybe the top 1/3 of the plant

This looks like a nasty case of burn to me and considering you went full swing with bloodmeal I'd say this is the case. But get a 2nd opinion.

It was fine up till about 2 weeks ago is when this showed up
I thought that may be the case (burn)
My first time adding the blood meal
Trying to get a feel for it

Yes, Conrad pegged this one for ya....that's nute burn , all the way. Tell tell sign is the burnt tips and leaf margins. Would advise giving straight water for a few drinks. These damaged leaves won't heal but remaining leaves down below and new stuff will grow in just fine. Don't give any more N. That Blood meal is wicked strong stuff for sure! Cheers.
 
I'm surprised there isn't more of the classic 'N' toxicity appearance (burnt tips but not margins and claw) since blood meal is all 'N'. It looks like 'P' deficit to me but I know it is evil with the kit.

P evil? I think you might be referring to K?

Classic bloodmeal OD. It's not so much that it's too much N, but that the roots get burned. Live and learn!

Like I said, experiment. I bet the buds turn out pretty damn good.

If temps are too high and rH too low, plants can exibit a K deficiency....but that is easily remedied with the foliar sprays.

Problems are almost always with the roots.

Lack of leaves curling is main reason I was unsure

I wanted it to be K deff but I knew deep down it wasn't

Thanks Doc I am 100% confident buds will be awesome,always are in your kit,

I will take note and go lots easier on her next time with the bloodmeal

No problem at all mate. The wash will take care of it. The best thing you can do when you burn is get the rH up to like 90%, walls weeping, mirrors steamed up, etc. Then the vapor turns to sulfuric acid and kills the spores really well, plus it all finds it way into the plant tissue and so the flavor isn't an issue after a week or so. Still, the wash will take care of it.
 
just harvest 3 of 4 of my 5th run brix mix soil.

run 5 had about 3/4 cup Guano I had left in a bag and about 1/2c of 6/5/3 minerals and DrEarth (total in 4 7gl bags)

This was by far the stickiest grow yet. Had to use gasoline to clean my hands.

It was hard trimming, not because the scissors were gunked up, but my fingers were so sticky from handling the buds, it was difficult to hold the scissors like usual.

Got it, thx doc. Gonna be upgrading my room soon with more lights and hopefully I'll have time to start another journal. I'm so far behind in yours idk where to pick back up.:thanks:

There are dense clusters of trichomes I have never seen. I need a better cam.

I am going to push the kit/soil longevity limit and use it for a 6th run.
I tossed in all the big leaf trim, some roots, and the same things (but less) I added for run 4 and 5 except no Guano.
This time I am tossing in a 1/3 cup of Azomite,,,,, mwaaa haa haaaaa.

If the next round comes out even better, let's test the soil. If you really like it, you might be able to duplicate it. Eventually, it's gonna run out of life...
 
Hey Doc, can you tell me how much amendment to add to a fresh bag of promix? Since I buy in bulk and I've been taking the amendment directly from the big bag to add to 2nd run soil in smaller totes I am not sure how much to add to a full bag of promix. My recollection is about 1.25 lbs. Thanks!

It's 1, 1/2 pounds per bag or "kit".:cheesygrinsmiley:

I've just ordered 6 pounds ...that will do 4 kits or four bales of PM.

1.25 will work. 1.5 too. Right around those numbers.
 
Had my lights off to spray so fig I take a shot or two of theplanrt I OD on bloodmeal

And the Tahoe OG that is in flower
It burned a little too but it loves the bloodmeal and wa10x

Stupid white tops
I have yet to fig this out,get them sometime sometimes not my lights never move
start out over 40" away and I let them grow into the lights
I have read it does and doesn't affect potency
Also read that pot makes you crazy lol pot I hate that word
Anyway I am vested in my LEDs and still get more watts
per sq ft in my space so I will deal with it
