Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Doooood, that is some lumber

Thanks doood,, biggest auto I've had so far. I'm so excited about how a couple of auto strain are doing I might try a fifteen gallon. I'm, still amazed at the length of veg for that plant. I had to go back a few days ago and check pictures,, 10/24 that plant was a seedling and about where I start counting for day one. Again, this is a true auto which normally,,.what I've seen,, I might go 90 days with them. That was before,, I expect two more months before I'll be chopping this ;)

It's the kit man, all in for the kit.

The High Brix soil definitely allows for expression of some unusual genetic traits.

Just took these. Everything going well in the garden.

Right on cue..........Frosty paid a visit for the Holidays. Nice pics.

Merry Christmas Doc & Brixsters, you folks are like familiy.

To all, a good night.

Merry Christmas to the hi Brix gang! I don't post much but I'm always reading and have a lot of respect for all of you with the love and passion you all have for the art of growing.
Doc,
I want to personally thank you. Over the last year that I've followed your brix method, I've not only become a better grower but a better person and my outlook for the future has changed as well. You don't know me and I don't know you but I have the utmost respect for you man I truly mean that. Thank you! Merry Christmas to you and yours! I'll be getting some bulk third round kit from you soon too! Peace.

Doc I had an extra plant this round already in 7gl HB soil (abut 10 days now) and ended up giving it to a friend.

He will not be using the Kit.

Should I tell him to dig it out and transplant into his own soil?

Or should he just keep it in the soil and use his own nutes?

this was overlooked, anyone care to opine? (cross words lingo:laughtwo:)

3 weeks tomorrow and water only so far and she is nice and healthy.

also this is third run of soil and has been fed leaves for almost a year.

I only have enough brix for my current grow or I would have just given him kit nutes I have enough of.

My opinion is that HB is a great basic soil mix, and he should be able to use standard nutes, keeping in mind that pH will be very difficult to alter because of the high calcium.

Veg nutes should work as they always do, but bloom nutes may do unexpected things.

But mineral-enriched ProMix is great stuff all by itself. :thumb:

Hope everyone enjoyed time with their family today if you were able, and wanted to.

Couple of questions for the gang, anyone want to chime in...

First, I'm running two auto flowers in 3 gallon smart pots. Ran out of soil,.most are in sevens. These are doing great. At this point, both are drinking a gallon every other day and I'm feeding them at the seven gallon level. Or according to kit directions..

One plant, an auto amnesia is ready for a cat drench. Last feeding she got 1.75m trans, prior to that I gave her 7m GE with .7m T.

So, she's eating it, no major signs of burning... My question is,, do I give her the full dose of Cat 7 m? one gallon.... Or, I was thinking of playing it safe and going with maybe 5 mils or even half for the first dose and see how she reacts???

Next,, I have some photos I'm working on, started from seed in solo cups. month in I moved to 1.7 gallons,, and that's where they are now almost two months old. I think their eventual home to flower will be seven gallon smart pots. Although I moved one last week to a fifteen gallon. My plan is to veg these photos for another month, or so.

My question... I have two 3.7 plastic cans,, about an inch and a half bigger on the sides, and bottom of the existing 1.7 can. I was thinking of moving two of the 1.7 photos to the 3.7 cans...Then in about two weeks right before flower I'll move those two to sevens?

Smart, or not so much?

Thanks gang!!

Ho,ho ho...

Personally, I'd go right from the 1.7's into the 7's. I don't see an advantage to the extra 3.7 step.

Ok, thanks guys. I think I was over thinking, that's why I like to chew on it here.

Zig,, I'm running seven autos on 18/6 which is allowing me to veg these photos. I have candy kush, THC bomb, northern lights, and amnesia haze going for autos, two each of thc and amnesia. Of those 7 autos, I no tilled an amnesia which is problematic, and a THC bomb which I spoke about a few posts back. That one,, I don't know it's not acting like an auto but it came from the same pack I've grown plenty before so..

This is my first venture with autos and the kit. But I might have 30 or so under my belt, maybe closer to 25. I wanted to run an auto earlier on the kit, but, it didn't line up till I shut things down for a little and when I started back up I ended up running lights to veg new photos... and autos love 18/6 so why not??

After this run of autos,, ill run candy kush and THC Bomb on Doc's kit any day,, any day and I'm months from harvest... ;) been fun

Thanks again!!

Ok, sounds good upped them to sevens today. Also, ran out of soil I the process so I only got four done, almost ran out.... But, plans to expand have been approved by the boss. .Will be ordering third kit soon...
