Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Hey, anyone else in Colorado hear about the hydro stores stopping selling peat based soil mixes? Namely promix and sunshine #4

Did you hear a reason why?

Hola Doc

Be sending an email shortly to get another kit. Just placed an order with scamazon for my pro mix and wiggle wiggle.

Based on my order earlier this week, I'll be tweaking the order.... Mucho gracious, Senior

;)

Doc, Great idea..well, im biased..:)
Doc, sell 8 gallon bags of Prepped Cooked, Amended Promix...
Why 8? 1 gallon for the seed, 7 for the upcan. ;)

Franchise out and have retailers buy already boxed kits. Sell to public..
Go Big or Not! That is the question...:)

Naaa, don't like the idea Ziggs....lets keep it all to our selves OK! This is a very select group...the people who seek out a better way , the people who really want the best , the people who will do their best for the best produce....keep it out of main stream stoners! Just my two cents brothas. If they want it ....come and learn , just like we had to do....shit i've been looking for Doc. for over twenty yrs.....lets make people earn it , so to speak....does this sound selfish....perhaps....:tokin::blunt::smoke2:

I have not heard a reason, but the mining of peat moss is thought to be bad for the ecosystem.

That can't be it, doesn't stop us from consuming every other thing that's bad for the environment. I can imagine hydro shops wanting nothing to do with Docs Kit without it having an insane markup. Remember what kind of profit margin they have to have to keep up with the smallish amount of sales even in a state like CO. They like to sell the stuff that takes 10 bottles of overpriced crap, better for their pockets that way:rofl:

It's basically non-renewable due to the time it takes to "occur", and the relatively few places it can "occur"...
"Occur"... Grow? Accumulate?
Not sure how/what peat moss "does"!!!!!!

Hey guys, I have a question. How many seven gal pots does the kit fill ? Or how much does the kit make ? I'm wondering , I don't want to order to little, I would like to get more than enough so I don't run out and need more that takes a month to cook.

I would say it safely fills 6 pots of the 7 gallon size.

I totally get your vibe duggan, and my knee-jerk reaction is in support... but I disagree in a larger sense. I think encouraging everyone to grow cannabis, whatever method they choose (...at first ;) ) is a good thing. Human nature will help preserve the higher-quality produce we get to enjoy compared to most others as the overwhelming contingent will undoubtedly still ask...how much, how fast.

Besides, I doubt there's a good way to package a "ready" product economically. The shelf life must be fairly short. But I've no idea really. [/rambling]

We do it for a different reason...IMO.

CORRECT!

Making, marketing, packaging and selling a soil across state lines is a monumental task due primarily to government regulations and requirements.

While to concept and idea is a GREAT one, the various laws prohibiting and regulating commerce are written by a select few and are designed to protect THEIR markets from all kinds of competition. Monsanto is the author and financial enabler of countless laws such as these that make our lives poorer and more difficult.

Hey Gov. Happy New Year my brotha! I was glad to read you kind of supported my view on main stream avail. of "our" kit. you are correct with your idea that they (commercial growers) will always be concerned with how much...how fast! My feelings are ....we have found Doc and the Kit, we have and continue to be his beta testers, we are the ones who have worked out the kinks and really figured it all out. Just don't feel right giving that all away to someone who hasn't put in the miliage , so to speak....just my thoughts though....they don't mean very much . Cheers Gang !:circle-of-love:

Just remember that there are a lot of people who are into "the best" and anything that can be done to help them grow a better product is a good thing.

Imagine how happy and healthy we would all be if food growers were fixated on quality.....

Anything we can do to encourage healthy agriculture is a good thing for everyone.

Doc Bud or anyone who knows,
Someone clicked some of the buttons on my light timer and instead of 12 hours dark it only got 8 hours uninterrupted dark after they got like 30 on 30 of until I noticed it when I got home at about 6 p.m. i then shut off the lights i noticed coming back on. My dark cycle is during the day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

:yikes: So what happened was the light kicked off from 7 a.m. till around 2:30-3 p.m. but intermittently til 6 p.m. then I set it back to their original settings of off/dark at 7 a.m. an on at 7 p.m.

Would one day of this light intrusion have a noticeable affect on the size, potency or anything else.:bitingnails:
:thankyou:
