It won't do anything to the buds like that. The idea behind the super drench is to keep the soil happy. It won't make the buds airy one little bit.
 
Ok gang, want to hear your thoughts. I have one plant of three still going. Stacked OG Kush. It sent out foxtails like crazy and for the past two or three weeks hasn't really done anything except yellow lower fans. No bulking or new growth that I can see. Still some white pistils on the foxtailing, red other than that. I have been peeking around looking for amber trichomes and I am not seeing any. It's possible that the foxtailing may be covering up the old growth which may have amber trichomes. What's everyone's thoughts here? How should I attack this?

With trimmers and a couple buckets of wash water :thumb:
 
Zig, I've had foxtailing a few times and the env conditions were on point each time. I don't think it's only stress-related (though that certainly could be a contributor), but could also be genetic. If not intrinsic to a specific strain, then perhaps to that specific phenotype. I also have not seen any difference in flowering cycle with those that did foxtail.

Some foxtail is in fact strain specific, their genetics just lean that way. But in some cases abberant light schedules, light leaks, or other stress can induce foxtailing. I think you just have to know the strain. Is this normal for my strain? If not start looking for light issues. If it is normal, just enjoy the freakiness.

Some strains foxtail. Some of my favorites. Others do not unless stressed.
 
Alright guys, once I get Mazar in the jars I will give Stacked OG Kush the chop.

Before the start of the grow I checked the tent for light leaks and couldn't find any. My light schedule has been pretty spot on as I remember. I did have a hermie early on, but it was a plant that I abused quite a bit, including cutting off the three top nodes, so I am thinking it was unrelated to light. I think it's just a foxtailer. I don't mind because it looks pretty gnarly and added some nice, usable bud to a plant that had pretty much formed it's shape.
 
Just killing it Doc. Running some autos on your kit and they are killing it. That's all, carry on....
