Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Doc, have you noticed any increased or different terps on your beautiful plants you grow, since using the WA10x?

Yep. It made the Colombians much stronger in flavor AND potency.

I've got another secret I might as well tell: I've been using organic, non-GMO blood meal on the Grape Stompers and now also on the Grape Ape.

The organic nitrogen is a bloom stimulator and it doesn't mess with the phos/potas ratio like high P bat guano, etc.

About 1/5 cup per 7 gallon pot. But be CAREFUL. I added it to some Paki's and burned them.

Doc, when did you add the blood meal? Top dress or mix into soil? Why do you think it burned the Paki?

Doc and gang, I would like some input on when to CAT drench. This is coffee gold and it is a 100% landrace sativa. It is just ending week 3 and is due for a drench tomorrow. Breeder info says flowering time is about 13 weeks. It has been on 11/13 since flip. My thoughts were to wait until about week 5 but she is stacking pretty quick......so I would like some input. Also the adding of the blood meal to landrace strains?
Thanks gang, here are some purple pics from this morning:

Neiko I would wait a little, a week or so for the Cat. They're looking great btw :)

Wow, what an elegant plant! I'm with Dr. Ziggy....wait about a week.

Hey doc, so you drench everything in bloom with the same drench......Columbia , grape stomper, and paki get same drench at same time? Or you mix different drenches at different times for your sepcific strain?

It all depends on what stage of growth they're in. I usually have 3 or 4 strains going so I usually have 3 or 4 different drenches per week. Each plant gets what I think is the right drench at the right time. Sometimes it works.

"Sometimes it works."

Sometimes...:)
-its like the 'sometimes' the Sun rises the next day after it sets 'sometimes'...

Hey Doc, i'm sure you've answered this before but..

do you use molasses? and if so, how much per gallon of water and at which point in flower do you prefer to add it?

i'm thinking like tablespoon per gallon, just once in mid flower. I'd love your input on this

Sulfur free of course, that goes without saying :smoke2:

Hey Brother, I'm not Doc but he has answered this before. The molasses is a no go. It makes the bugs lazy. They'd rather eat molasses than chomp rocks.

Molasses = junk food for the microherd.

thanks for the input guys, i'm honestly just trying to improve my growing conditions without using any salt nutrient or something close to that at all.

i got lucky and found a small little shop that promotes organic near my place (trust me it's extremely hard to find stuff like that where i live)

Had a long chat with the guy, who looked baked too btw it was like a stoners conv, and we came to an understanding about what i seek.

he suggested some top dressings and soil-improvers for me to buy, like seaweed / fish powder / palm tree ash / volcanic loam etc etc.

All those stuff have different NPK ratios tho, naturally.

Now i know that you're supposed to dial down the nitrogen during flower, that's like general knowledge. My problem is with potassium and phoshorus, how do you handle those to get the best out of your buds and trichome production?

I know that question is a little vague but what i mean is like, are you supposed to actually maintain a higher phosphorus ratio through-out the whole flower or do you dial it down aswell for a higher potassium rate towards the end?

Conradino is closer to you, In location, I believe. :)
The HB is not high when Potassium is. it replaces the calcium..calcium is king.

haha yea he is a freaking legend when it comes to organic soil recipes :cheesygrinsmiley:
i'm definitely taking his input aswell on this one.

so if i understand correctly you cant go wrong with calcium nuke?

it's just a struggle to adapt, from salt nutrients where you just mindlessly pour whatever the schedule says to actually manhandling every single detail to the point where it gets stressing and confusing.

totally worth it tho, those eras where organic was considered inferior product are way over. Organic right now is the new gold and anyone who's into has just struck it :)

Conradino grew high brix. not with a kit.. his backyard, :) he has highly mineralized soil..he added a few things I believe..

Hey Doc, did one of your grows and it turned out great! I only used half of the soil though and it has been sitting in the tubs for about 8 months. I have not watered it and was wondering, should I moisten and mix it up a bit then use right away or would I have noticeably better results if I watered n mix then let sit for a month?

Moisten it up with 2 mill Tea per gallon of water and warm it up a bit if its cold. Let it sit two weeks and you're good to go.

truly one of the most beautiful plants i've ever seen, if i had this in my garden i wouldn't be able to keep my eyes off it

words can't describe how i feel when i look at it
:bravo:
