Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Wow thank you Brother! I actually do sit and stare....at all of them. That is my therapy and as I get more comfortable with the "kit" I am stating to read my plants and they tell me what they want...you just have to trust your instincts. I love the exotic plants too, they are so interesting the way they grow. I am really excited for the coffee gold by they way. Thanks for the kind words Brother!
:circle-of-love::thanks:

Hey Brother, I'm not Doc but he has answered this before. The molasses is a no go. It makes the bugs lazy. They'd rather eat molasses than chomp rocks.

You make those big rocks into little rocks ;)

Step away from molasses, it's gonna wack out your soil food web. Bacteria will start multiplying very quickly, but instead of churning out nutrients for the plant they will just keep feeding also creating dangerous competition for the funghi, which live just across the street and break phosphorus compounds for the roots. Lava powder or lil' bit of gypsum will have much better effect :tokin:

Yup. I've been advising people to stay away from molasses and add rock powders for a while now. Ditto compost. Get over that shit.

The best soil in the world, IE volcanic soil or rich valley/flood plain type soil with high mineral content (equivalent of the ancient Nile valley and other places like it) has three things in common:

1. No animal crap
2. Minimal to no composted organic matter.
3. Lots of minerals...IE very small rocks.

Molasses is kinda the opposite of that.

Hey Doc,

I just spent several hours reading your posts and plan on many more. I've been lurking on various sites for about 13 years, but decided to join 420 so I could follow along more closely with what you are doing. I am currently real happy with my soilless mix and nute program, but promix hp, worm castings, and a little azomite was my go to for years. I have never cooked my soil before, but I have a little more room now and could. I run 8 plants in 7gal smart pots under 2 600 watters and I always try and experiment with half of them. I would like to try your kit, but I can't PM you for more info until 50 posts (I'm sure I'm not the first). If you can hit me up that would be cool, but I'll keep posting and reading. Happy growing.

And HB gang is growing. It's the next big thing in cannabis world, and very soon it will be the pioneer route :blunt:

This is your second harvest ever!! Obviously you have a secret weapon. There are people who have grown for decades who have never had anything so lovely.

Finished reading through the "In the lab" thread a few days ago and I'm going through this Q&A thread for the second time, taking notes. It's been really enjoyable following along for the last year or so. I received Docs kit a couple months ago and planted a few seeds 2 weeks ago.

I've started a journal over at: LED - High Brix - C'99 - CBD Shark Shock - Afgooey

I'm really looking forward to producing some quality cannabis.
