Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

My kit soil has been cooking for a month now. It still looks the same as the day the lid was put on, have heard several here mention they get a white crusty coating on top. Hp bale set for a while, could micros be dead?

No....it's fine. The white crusty comes with the recharge.

As long as the temps were over 65 degrees or so, and the barrel wasn't sitting on a cold cement slab, you'll be fine.

THat's funny, 'cause I just read this only to slowly turn my head to the right, and see my barrel--the one that has been cooking for months with slow results....sitting on a cold cement slab.

..Yikes! :yikes:

It's a common mistake. I've mentioned it many times, but there are many pages and things get lost. I'll make sure I put it into the next set of directions.

Get that barrel up off the slab!

Hey doc question on running second run soil.......my second run had a rootballs from earlier run and a cup of roots, now I understand that our second run soil will be "hotter" than the original.......I have noticed they don't need as much GE this time around, now does the trans need to be used in smaller dosages along with tea?

I guess my observation is the tea and trans can be give as normal, but it's easy to over do the GE in second run soil......

Am I way off here.......trying to observe and learn on the fly.....thanks:passitleft:

It won't actually be "hotter" than the first run, but the increased humus will raise CEC a bit, meaning that you'll get more mileage out of each drench than before.

Trust your observations and instincts! You're very much on the right track.

Resin is starting to come properly now. Plants look quite healthy.

any "Endless Summer" fans know...

I think we need to tell ppl with this response from now on: "yea damn! sorry bro. shoulda been here yesterday!"

j/k. being part of the gang and getting prescriptions from the doctor for the price of already paid internet can't be beat in credits/value in this life.

You talk to anyone who "has" to buy cannaboost and the price of entry is virtually neglible....

...yea I scoff...i'm a DBHB snob 1 half assed run in....cant help it..

*sorry for not running a journal, i'm going to backlog a run and keep it ...not fresh :D

OK Major , that's it brotha ....will the real Major pita Avatar please step forward and get rid of that fu...in zombie! :wood:

Just for you, duggan.

Harvested five DBHB plants a couple weeks back, my first plants in the kit. Very impressed. I ran a THC bomb which I've run a few times recently, once organic, once or twice with House and Garden. But, once in Doc's kit and the buds were enormous. Once it dries I'll get it out for testing. All the plants grown with the kit did awesome. Hit a QP on four of five with biggest being 7z inside,, that was a holy Grail Kush.

Easy peasy, very little hassle and awesome results. I'm sitting on the soil from the first run and have some projects going on the new batch I got.

Should be a fun winter, thank you again Doc, for all you do! I hit over five lbs this summer so I'm not posting much, just trimming and reading ;) grew ten strains using five different nutrient lines, about seventy five total plants, give or take,, learned enough to write a book ;)

Very cool MMM! Sound like a great summer. :thumb:
